No problem! I recently just finished another short cdrama that was definitely on the dark side but I enjoyed it (with complicated feelings lol) so if you're interested, it's "Love & Bid Farewell".

I took a look at your completed list and saw that you have indeed watched a few mini cdramas! Some that I've enjoyed that's not on your completed list are:
The Killer Is Also Romantic Butterflied Lovers The Snow Moon Estranged Fall In Love (there's a sequel to this called Chasing Love) The Deliberations of Love Back to Seventeen Yes, Her Majesty My Decoy Bride Cheng Xi's Song I Have a Smart Doctor Wife 1 & 2
Yeah... I feel it might be because they tried to jam too much into the second season and didn't allow either plot to "marinate" long enough for audience to really get into, if that makes sense lol
Wow, I never thought a short, mini drama could ever bring tears to my eyes, but I stand corrected! Lovely people to look at, good plot line for a mini drama (though the cuts and edits aren't smooth), and I liked how the FL stayed true to herself/her mission till the end. I hope they do make a second season and chances are high as they ended it saying "End of Season 1" and not just "The End" lol.
I'm actually surprised this is not directed by Zeng Qing Jie, because everything is so similar to Butterflied…
Lol yeah, I just started watching and had to come back here to double check who the director was because it reminded me of Zeng Qing Jie's Butterflied Lover too!
I can totally see where JQF comes from (and is attempting to go) and I don't blame her? Yes, it does look like…
Yeah, I'm not sure what to believe with the dementia thing but I feel like something is up and that maybe the brother is just brushing it off so that JQF doesn't have to worry?
From what I can see, I agree with Sady that she is quite doted on, babied even, in the family. I saw the whole insurance thing as a "tradition" as it clearly wasn't the first time she asked him to help out by buying insurance from her. The whole bit of her mentioning she'll text the wife was more like a banter/joke? The brother obviously doesn't want that but didn't look like he took it seriously as he probably knows she won't because he'll buy as usual, at least that was how I saw it.
I really wanted to wait until all the episodes are out so I can just binge it in one go, but I couldn't stop myself…
I can totally see where JQF comes from (and is attempting to go) and I don't blame her? Yes, it does look like she's looking for trouble, but her train of thought has that really realistic human nature curiosity. The could have, would have, and the comparing. If I'm being totally honest, I've had similar thoughts like hers before but I didn't and wouldn't have taken any actions lol. Not sure what her plan is with YXL and how it's going to play out - I can only wait...!
As for Rebecca, I also understand where she's coming from and feel for her situation. I am, however, curious what she was planning on doing at HRZ's mother house in the last episode but didn't get a chance to as the mother fell.
I need to see more of what happened in the past that led HRZ to marry JQF since so far, with the past we've been shown, still has him very much in love with Rebecca. I have a feeling it's the time and the ease that his mother gets along with JQF (then), that it was just easier to end up with her but never really in love with her.
I really wanted to wait until all the episodes are out so I can just binge it in one go, but I couldn't stop myself from clicking open episode 1 and by the time I knew it, I finished all 4 available episodes. I mean, it's Ariel, Tiffany and Mike! Such big hooks! They were there at the very beginning of my drama watching days (many, many years ago)! And so now I'm sitting here dying for episode 5 - and will have to endure this one episode a week till end of April...
It's been a fascinating watch thus far. The characters have very interesting set up. There aren't any "bad" people here. Just life situation and decisions people make. It's all so real and human. More on this below.
I enjoyed this drama a lot more than I thought I would lol. That last minute though, way to leave us viewers guessing!!…
Who is #1!? I thought at first it might be Pan Yue's dad as he was also wearing blue but I find it hard to buy in... I scrolled through a few of the comments hoping to see if other viewers can shed a clearer light on that last bit but didn't really find anyone talking about the ending. So if anyone has an idea or picked up on more clues, please enlighten me!
I find that if you change the subs to just English and not the CC version, they translate a lot more.
Haha yeah, I only realized it halfway through as I was getting frustrated with the lack of translation when it's so crucial to understanding what's going on. So definitely good to know for future viewing of kdramas on Netflix!
Well said! I totally agree with what you said regarding the FL. I also liked her a lot and thought it was very…
Yeah, it wasn't satisfying enough as they basically just air lifted audiences to the happy ending with a few sentences. It knocks down a few points of the previous 5 episodes they've done fairly well setting up.
I can’t believe people actually don’t like ep6 lol it was so necessary. And I can’t believe so many people…
Well said! I totally agree with what you said regarding the FL. I also liked her a lot and thought it was very clear what the problem was the first time, and second time, between them. The ML never did, even though I also enjoyed his character. I just wished they didn't rush her self-discovery and took a bit more time to delve into her growth as well as show how the ML come to finally understand her POV before arriving at the happy ending.
The Killer Is Also Romantic

The Snow Moon
Estranged Fall In Love (there's a sequel to this called Chasing Love)
The Deliberations of Love
Back to Seventeen
Yes, Her Majesty

Hope you also enjoy some (or all) of them!
