I watched up to episode 50 and I think I'm going to drop it for now because I've been skimming more than watching.
My problem with a lot of these "strong female character" cdramas (e.g. Fu Yao, Princess Agents, etc.) is that they're too ambitious with what they want to do-- they want the female lead to grow into a badass, the politics to be smart and intricate, but also want the romance to be epic.
Throw in a secondary couple with a load of screen time, the male lead backstory, a bunch of subplots, and you end up getting terrible pacing and all of the elements kinda half-hearted and not fleshed out.
On Wikipedia, it says that it airs 2 episodes during weekdays, 1 episode during weekends :)
My bad-- I just saw the 2 episodes for 5 days and 1 episode for 2 days pattern, and assumed weekdays/weekend. Although, that is actually accurate for my timezone and those ahead of China as the vids hit the internet quite late haha.
Just watched the first 2 eps! The tension between the leads is good, the second male lead is annoying but cute, and there's lots of weird foreshadowing/flashbacks going on that I hope don't get too crazy.
How is this so far?? Feel free to give me as many spoilers as you like (I love spoilers!)
I'm up to episode 17, and I really like it so far. The only thing that's getting a bit annoying is that the female lead JUST broke up with her boyfriend after finding out he cheated, so the romance between the leads hasn't even started, and it looks like it won't properly start for another 2-3 episodes.
I'm already caught up to date, but will probably rewatch soon so I can do brief episode recaps until/if the drama gets picked up for subs if anyone is interested?
Can someone tell me if the quality of the drama stayed the same throughout or did the plot lose itself and drag/go crazy? The rating on douban went down from 8+ to 7.5.

Also, it would be legally considered incest in many jurisdictions so...
