I just ant to say that Chun-er's performances, her acting really is damn impressive. She has little screen…
@Viktormani You're literally the one who first came in here and said "You clearly have no idea what good acting is" and "i doubt anyone agrees with what you are saying" and talked about your opinion like it was fact so take your "everyone is allowed to have their opinion" and follow your own advice maybe.
Also, @rheabiel, I agree with you. For me, the acting stand-outs have been Dou Xiao, Li Qin and to some extent, Niu Junfeng.
Tbh, I feel like I've lost interest since the start of the return to Yanbei... Yuwen family drama didn't…
Yeah I know that, but my point was that seeing as they introduced it, they should've properly integrated it into the plot and seen it through to the end instead of half-arsing it just because it wasn't in the novel.
Tbh, I feel like I've lost interest since the start of the return to Yanbei...
Yuwen family drama didn't interest me, Liang Princess wasn't interesting, Yuan Chun's arc after the red wedding (lol) was a little ill-conceived. Yan Xun is frustrating to watch, and his asshole general makes me want to fast forward past all the Yanbei army drama.
I'm pretty disappointed by the way this drama has played out, and I'm doubtful that they'll be able to wrap it up well. I wish that they had stuck to CQ's storyline much more strongly. They introduced the Luo He's daughter/Feng Yun Ling thing, and they should have stuck with it throughout instead of awkwardly shoehorning it in, then forgetting about it for the next 10 episodes. I wish we got a story about CQ growing and developing as a person, making decisions about being Luo He's daughter and what that means, taking power of her own, instead of half her decisions revolving around YWY and especially YX.
8.7? Wth.. this is the first drama that makes me want to pull every strand of my hair off and although the chemistry…
The rating is only a 5.5 on Douban so I think we're doing pretty good here :P
(For comparison, Eternal Love is 6.4, The Princess Wei Yang is 4.8, and General and I is 3.1 while Nirvana in Fire and Battle of Changsha are 9.1)
I'm kinda glad that I'm starting a new full-time job tomorrow... it means that I'll be too busy to watch every day which means I can binge the rest of the episodes at once after the drama ends B)
Aaaah, I hope we see more of Xiao Ce and CQ! Their banter is so cute ;-;
One of the coolest things about watching the opening after skipping it for a long time is being able to recognise where almost all the scenes come from!
also for Battle of Changsha fans, isn't it funny seeing Niu Junfeng being Yuan Song here as an older, caring,…
Omg yes!! Niu Junfeng was one of the main reasons why I decided to pick this up!! I thought he was amazing in BoC, especially the way his character developed at the end ;-;
Can someone please tell me how's the romance in this drama? 68 episodes is it worth watching?
I wouldn't say there's a lot of "romance," but there's a lot of guys that like the main girl. If you're in it for the romance, I'd advise you to wait until it ends and read the reviews because there's a lot of rumours going around right now.
Yan Xun: A'Chu risked her life to save me!
Xiao Ce: Qiao Qiao risked her life to save me!
Shiyi (aka Liang Shaoqing): Xiao Chu risked her life to save me!
Yu Wenyue: I risked my life to get a massage from Xing'er!
Dumbstruck audience: ...Master Yue, we finally believe that you're the true male lead.
um so Yuwen Huai did not die this early in the books....like he was literally alive towards the end of the novel?!?!?!?!…
Lady Lan was loyal to Luo He, and I think she was the person who was looking after CQ when her mother went away.
In the next episodes preview (if you don't want to know stop reading): Lady Lan ends up blaming CQ for her son's death, and smashes the figure of Luo He on the ground. She probably thinks that if CQ hadn't killed YWH, then her son wouldn't have suffocated inside the box.
Hey guys! So i know everyone is worried if the show is going to end the show with the entire story being told!…
Speaking as someone who translates c-novels, if anyone decides to read this translation, remember to be patient, say thank you, and don't hurry the translator for the next chapter. It'll be up when it's done. What takes you 10mins to read might take over 1 hour to translate :)
How is Yuan Song still alive and so alert after getting his arm chopped off... He should have lost a shitload…
Yeah...
I found it really weird how undramatic it was. Like, it reminded me of that time when YWY randomly killed off the Liang princess's tall servant with the fan? That was kinda unexpected because he had a lot of screen time and I expected something more dramatic like being impaled by a sword and intense stares and hateful last words LOL.
I'm also a little ??? at the significance of Liang. Like, how are they gonna wrap THAT up too...
Ok, so I give up. I don't know what's happening with this drama and I've decided just to not care…
Did you see that comment that was like, "This drama has stopped being "The Legend of Chu Qiao" and become "The Legend of Yan Xun" for the last 20 episodes" because... true.
Ugh, I hope they give us at least SOME closure at the end of this season...
Also, I love how everyone was so against the idea of a S2 and trying to debunk it when rumours came out, and now it's like.... lol.
