i agree with you for the part that dating was a good PR but i don't think that they married each other for the…
I agree this is not hollywood. But because arranged marriages are still ingrained in their culture (pretty much like India and Bollywood), arrangement is no big deal. If this was an arrangement, I don't think anyone predicted they'd give up so fast, not even themselves. Maybe 10-15 years later, but not so fast. Knowing Korea, if SJK divorced and risked losing so much, it must have been a messy situation. I won't speculate on who's right and who's wrong cause those who walk away are not necessarily the "good guys". Sometimes they are, but sometimes they're just fickle and selfish.

I think "someone"'s fans rated it before it even started.
But obviously myungsoo is not without fans, so you remain the exception, not the rule.

i'm sick of people who judge a drama just because it had a sad ending (Angel's Last Missions: Love not ending…
People have a right to dislike sad endings. First few episodes set the tone, last episode is what the drama will be remembered for. So I think it makes perfect sense to judge at least 40% of it based on the ending. I hate sad and open endings and I think that can ruin an entire show, unless a tragic end is the most realistic outcome. For instance a drama about war, the sad ending makes sense. But a lot of them make zero sense and are just chosen to create buzz. Everything is going well when BOOM someone gets hit by a car the day of their wedding. Or the day two siblings reunite after being separated as children - which took 24 hours (24 episodes) to get there, one dies of a heart attack. Give me a break.

Is this similar to What's Wrong With Secretary Kim? I dropped that one.
Dropped both, though I like the actress.

ok, I'm ep 6 I find this drama uninspired and a bit boring. should I keep on trying or is it just not for me?
I dropped it. I no longer force myself to watch a show if from to beginning I'm bored. I've been wrong but rarely. In the end respect your tastes. I don't have time for subpar shows anymore, especially when the actors are no rookies.

Honestly. If you call yourself a drama veteran and call this a masterpiece I think you should reconsider this…
Goodness MinGong, I thought it was just me. I could get this from a rookie, but if that's your standard for masterpiece as a veteran... well... I'm speechless.

I'm actually scared to write this because there are crazy kpop fans out here, but Myungsoo sucks at acting. His…
He is bad. I don't blame him though, if I was an attractive guy that could get a lead role despite being bad at acting, I would sign the deal and laugh my way to the bank too. There is always room for improvement but I didn't see it. And SHS is way too skilled for him. And they are a mismatch. She's one of my fav actresses but I dropped the show cause it was painful to watch, because of L to begin with.

The editing in this drama is really bad. It has basically everything you want in a kdrama but the way things are…
I dropped it. The actress is always awesome but the guy can't act. And I don't see the chemistry, I think they are a mismatch. I just couldn't deal with this. I started watching it because of the ratings. I am surprised it is that high.

Why is it tragic,? For who? For you? No one died, there are no children involved. maybe sad, but tragic, no.
You make a valid point. I forgot to mention that abuse and repeated cheating are the only cases when I understand divorce. In that case yes, even for the children it is better to leave. Of all the children of divorcees I have come across and befriended, and even dated, not one is without a scar and commitment issues. You being the exception only confirms the rule. People get homeless in the US, Canada, Europe. Of course not the vast majority but a pretty high amount of people. And it doesn't always mean wandering in the streets. It can mean having to sleep in your car although you have a job, or living with a relative, or having to move in with your parents and depend on them at 47, not being able to find a new job due to age. I have a coworker going through a divorce. She states she feels much better now but guess what, her hair is messy and brittle, she's a single mom now and struggles a lot, and she has severe health issues. That never happened when she was married. It is the stress of the divorce and the pain, and the consequences of this process. It doesn't look like freedom to me. I'm from Europe too.

Song dated her drama (All In) co-star Lee Byung Hun in 2003. She dated her drama (The World that they Live In)…
Uhmm... do people throw lists of male celebs' exes ? Do people say "not surprised at all" if those men ever face a divorce ? Yoo Ah-in comes to mind, he admitted himself to being a "serial lover". Nobody is judging him by his past. If we did judge men like you are doing Hye Kyo, 90% of these k-male celebs would be unelligible for marriage.

Why is it tragic,? For who? For you? No one died, there are no children involved. maybe sad, but tragic, no.
It is tragic for both people, their families, society at large (since marriage stabilizes it) and if they had children they would have been scarred for life. You obviously never saw anyone go through a divorce. People kill themselves over this. It can damage you permanently. Marriage is a sacred institution that people prepare for full of hope and intentions, and emotional, mental, financial, physical, spiritual investments. So when this gets shattered it is tragic and painful. A lot of people become emotionally if not mentally unstable because of divorce. Many end up homeless as a result. I'm surprised people see this as "nothing", goes to show how this whole stardom illusion affects our perception. Celebs promote "easy divorce" but they are not commoners. Yet they still feel the pain. But to the commoner, it is even more traumatic.
