Didn't she plant the lure for the boar that could have killed Hae In? Yeah, I'm good with her..
no i believe the goal was that she would plant the boar and the 2ml would come save her heroically which would make hae-in fall for him and also in order to make the grandfather more reliant on the shaman who "predicted" the event.
so far, there's none. the leads barely interacted.
I think that its likely that the two will be really close but its not yet clear whether they will actually have any romantic relationship (meaningful gazes between one another, romantic line delivery and everything but no actual relationship) because this seems like a plot heavy serious political drama rather than a romantic one
soo-chul's wife is the reverse (female) version of HW because she approached soo-chul for money first and then fell in love (even though she herself doesnt know it) and i honestly don't hate her much anymore,
this is actually the first chaebol drama where i dont hate anyone in the chaebol side of the family
i see so many signs for a sad ending - her aunt's friend died from a relapse - her life line was short and although HW extended it, it was using a pen which maybe signifies that it was temporary? - the four leaf clover ensures luck only for a year - she keeps talking about her funeral and i feel like if she does end up dying we will have many scenes of HW breaking down while thinking of her (those moments and the things she said)
i also feel like even if she miraculously survives she will likely have a son who she will name after her older brother
Couldn’t Ruolai have tested him before he gave him all the information?🥺 Now I’m so worried about Ruolai…on…
he had no way to...the only information he had regarding his brother were his last words and what li shengda said so why li shengda suddenly brought up the riddle he was supposed to exchange with his brother's friend, the only conclusion he could form that he was the friend and although he noticed the guilty gaze he had no way to test if it was true until the bookstore event
Wei Ruo Lie roll out here, he act very timid where as the FL role is more kick ass type of Girl she is also a…
clearly he acts that way because of the life he lived, if you watched the drama seriously you would realize that he was not only poverty stricken but also frequently suspected to be a communist because of where he was from and in addition he had to work for gangsters which was extremely dangerous as one wrong word could end his life, which in turn led to his timid attitude as a form of self defense. in contrast the fl has lived a fairly good life (as far as we have seen) she received higher education in germany and belongs to an affluent family so she is bound to be more confident she is also fighting for a cause she strongly believes in whereas the ml is just normal guy who is trapped in a situation he has no control over
one thing i really like about this show is that they don't change her personality at all, she's always seen as hot tempered, authoritative, and cold but what changes is how the audience sees her after the povs change...I'm also really confused about why her biological mother hates her so much (is it something to do with her older brother's death?)...The 2ml is also really unlikable and as of now theres no 2fl which makes me optimistic for a happy ending but i'm still so worried that there will be a sad ending or open ending
the pros and cons you listed out about acting , mystery , kissing skills are not what the drama is meant to be…
are you saying that acting skills don't define a drama? well i beg to differ, the cast can definitely make or break the drama, if the acting skills are good even a mediocre script can be brought to life whereas even the best script can be ruined by bad acting...Besides this is a rom-com so im pretty sure that kissing skills do play a part (if the actors don't look like they are enjoying it it makes it very uncomfortable to watch). There are many other dramas that tackle mental health which were done better and in the kdrama world dramas dealing with depression are not unique
The ratings could also be high because it's good? And what kind of "real life" do we get with chaebol characters/plots…
This clearly isnt meant to be a realistic drama, i think the reason their relationship fell apart is not only due to the miscarriage but due to HI lack of experience of real relationships due to her dysfunctional family, They got married because of surface level feelings and i dont think they truly even knew each other that well, considering all of that it makes sense why HW reacted the way he did, plus he is a lawyer and he has been living amongst/working for HI family for a long time which probably distorted his ethics and made him more cold and logical
But SK's birth rate is expected to drop to 0.68 this year! And maybe having kids really can help save some marriages?…
I think having kids just makes you stay in the marriage for longer it doesn't really save the marriage per se, but like you said i have noticed a lot more kdramas ending with kids nowadays (myb the government trying to influence youth to have children?)
As a man i hate this relationship. For a girl maybe you like it cause 2 handsome boy like you but for a man nahh…
you do know that the whole point of this drama is that he can't divorce her because of what his in-laws threaten to do to traitors right? And she clearly isn't looking for a romantic relationship with him, she's just manipulating his interest in her to get what she wants.
OMGGG they were expecting a baby and she had a miscarriage ðŸ˜. That must be the reason they fell apart. Maybe…
I read someone's review in which they said that HI's pov was warmer indicating that she still loved HW, whereas his pov was colder indicating he considered her a stranger to him, so i think its likely that he blamed her for the incident and they probably stopped interacting like normal couples afterwards and myb she thought not talking/sleeping with your partner was normal due to her dysfunctional family but he slowly just grew apart from her and eventually reached the point of divorce
I'm loving the pace of this drama. I thought the divorce coverup will take about 10 eps but it looks like she…
its better for her to find out as early as possible so that it doesnt all come crashing down one day, but im a bit afraid that they might stretch out her betrayed feelings for too long though
I can also see myself getting super emotionally invested in this show
From his pov he has been suffering mental abuse and loneliness for majority of their marriage, it is said that…
I dont think he knows that he has had a change of heart as of yet, when he thinks of her recovery it is instantly associated with the hellish life he suffered in before and in addition he probably believes that he feels things for her since they started interacting again, finding someone attractive/being jealous of their interactions with other men and wanting to stay in a marriage with them is very different, he probably just brushes it off as a small fleeting emotion and i believe he will truly start falling for her from the next episode onward..
