I'm sorry to say this but Hae Joo is unbelievable stupid. It was so obvious in so many scenarios that he already…
The part about the actor's looks is so true..over the years there are so many kdramas that are purely visuals and no substance that people are willing to rate a badly made show really well as long as the cast is good looking..
Personally i never really thought he was ugly but yeah he doesn't look like he is 20 (which is acceptable considering his age is twice that)
The most senseless scene hands down is when she is sitting in the living room in front of a huge family portrait of chairwoman shin's family with Yu jin and doesn't notice it (ep 15)💀
Some thoughts so far: 1. Candidates for Richard han: - Shin Yeojin's husband : why? because when goo jiseok wass begging shin yeojin and he was seen in a car observing the scene somberly and there did not seem to be anyone else willing to take him in that was powerful enough...besides we already know he blamed his wife's work for their daughter's disappearance so maybe he's joinning hands with jiseok to ruin the empire she has built?
but then, why did he go to America? did he find out about yun yujin? If so then why did he not tell his wife about it? why did he not find out about her son?
- Ha Na's (fl) Dad: this one is a bit farfetched but, he seems to be a very mysterious person that supposedly died when she was younger, but what if he didn't? maybe shin yeojin tried to kill him but was unsuccessful in her attempt to do so and inorder to protect his young daughter he went to america and took the name of Richard Han and he secretly built enough money to become the investor that destroys shin yeojin
Will chairwoman shin mistake ha na as her daughter because of the whole DNA thing? like she analyses the grandsons DNA and assumes that Ha na is her daughter? or could it be that Ha na is actually her daughter? So far we know that Ha Na was adopted by the Goo family that was close to Shin yeojin, nothing was said about the age difference between ha na and yujin so they might aswell be half sisters....But then if she really cared about her daughter she wouldn't have abandoned Ha na like that right? idk why but something really smells fishy about the Goo parents like they adopted her when they were about to welcome a third member to their family (and it would be unlikely that they suddenly grew to want a child ovrnight right? I think there was def some sort of external influence in that decision and the fl might actually be way more mysterious than we think
Can someone please explain that MDL synopsis versus what I’m watching?
the synopsis seems to be mistranslated....the fl is basically the adopted eldest daughter of her dad's friend's family (they have 3 other biological younger kids ) and when she was in highschool both parents pass away and she is forced to work at her young age to support the family and become the breadwinner.... But before being adopted she was in a orphanage where she meets yun yujin who is the daughter of the chairwoman shin yeojin, but she went missing as a child and lost her memories and doesn't remember anything including her name or past, so she is given the name Lee Du Na since fl's name is Lee Ha Na ....the two of them become close and become sworn sisters of sorts? then after fl gets adopted, Du Na also gets adopted by a family who emigrates to US soon after
Then there is a timeskip, the fl's brother (oldest of the bio kids) is no longer living with them, she is working as a tour guide and seems to be barely making ends meet and she has an adopted son (who happens to be Du Na's son) and his mother seems to have passed away sometime in the timeskip......
She meets Hwang jin goo who works for shin yeojin and although their meeting wasn't the best the eventually grow close to each other
the drama starts with her getting convicted for the crime of "keeping" 2 men of which I assume she is married…
it doesn't seem like a love triangle though it will be highly likely that the man marrying her will be pining for her affections despite her loving someone else...it could also be that she and her husband love each other and the whole thing is just a misunderstanding...ig we'll just have to wait and watch TT though i'm hoping for the latter
I really liked this drama so far but I wish they hadnt used the twin plot.....like its annoying because I can't decide on whom to ship...It would have been easier if they were different individuals because it sounds weird when you thing of a woman cheating on a man with a person who looks the same TT
okay so someone please be kind and let me know if its a happy ending? happy ending as in the leads end up together…
I dont think its happy or sad rather its just him coming to terms with being alone (he doesnt end up with anyone) so i'm inclined to say its bittersweet because his dreams came true but not his love
what do you mean by that? she repeatedly tells him they are just friends and she doesn't give him any hope..if…
Did you not see how she was post breakup? To me it felt more like he was protecting her from suffering that kind of heartbreak again. He may have even lied about having feelings for her to get him away from her, besides he was there for her when the ML wasn't (whtever his reasons may be).
And he also got assaulted by him at one instance which makes him see the ML as an aggressive and immature guy who doesn't deserve the FL, and he probably thinks she is too caught up in her feelings to remember what she was like in the past after the breakup.
The SML insinuates to FL like a dog in heat, using the excuse that it’s for the show, which drives me crazy…
what do you mean by that? she repeatedly tells him they are just friends and she doesn't give him any hope..if he still holds onto something it means HE is delusional
besides he helped her a lot in the past and present so she can't just cut him out of her life and there are some people like him who are genuinely kind but are a bit playful
what if hye-ri's age that eun-ho says is the number of years since hye-ri went missing/died?
(like hye-ri and eun-ho are only 2-3 years apart but hye-ri went missing 28 years back)
since then eun-ho could have had this disorder buried deep down but it only became prominent because of her ex abandoning her (it acted like a trigger to her old trauma)
She is seen to have serious self esteem issues going as far as pestering her partner to choose between her and the news/vacuum and she often tells people to praise her...
I'm guessing this is because of her relationship with her sister (maybe one of them was the favorite child while the other was left out?)....She also works as an anchor and still dreams of being "seen" despite the lack of success she has had so far ( I think it is because of how she was not given much attention in her childhood hence why she wants a man who only loves her and hates everyone else)....
I also have a theory that her Hye-ri side pops up when she is feeling really low and it helps project her true emotions whereas the Eun-ho side is just a facade that she likes to hide behind (Usually children who grow up feeling inferior end up having low self esteem but are people pleasers because they crave attention)
the age gap of the little girls is like 3-4 yrs difference ! ???
Exactly even the cast is only 2-3 years apart but in the show hye-ri says she is 28 and Eun-ho says she is 37 (thus the 9 year age gap)...I'm guessing it has something to do with the timeline of when her illness started
I'm pretty sure Eun-Ho is the real personality purely because of the age...she is said to have begun working as a journalist 14 years back and that makes sense only if she was 37 (she would have been 14 years old when she started working if she was hyeri).....
I noticed some very odd things in ep 2 flashbacks though:
1. something that is VERY off is that although hye-ri and eun-ho supposedly have a 9 year age gap they look like they are almost the same age in the flashbacks( if they had a 9yr age gap eun-ho would be a pre-teen when hye-ri was a toddler, and since hyeri looks to be around 6-8 eun-ho should have been 15-17)
2. Eun-ho's socks (I assume its her) has some writing underneath it while Hye-ri's doesn't (If anyone knows korean please let me know what it says) and is it normal for parents to write under their children's socks?
3. when hye-ri got hurt the parents run out to see what's wrong but Eun-ho stays inside the house and cries while looking at the scene (wouldn't she also run out to comfort her considering how close they are?)
Personally i never really thought he was ugly but yeah he doesn't look like he is 20 (which is acceptable considering his age is twice that)
