Got the potential to called a prequel to Dexter, I watch it till the end and the only reason for that is Lee Seung…
The last thing you're saying about the rapist is a huge spoiler, so please put spoiler tag if you can.
Also yes, if the story was made to be a backstory for Dexter they failed big time. But the writer wanted to tell the story of Jung Ba Reum, someone who was pushed by society to become a monster, because his genes said so, because he didn't have feelings and moral compass.
Dexter was a killer addict, BaReum was a predator. There's a huge difference detween them. A predator is using charm, manipulation, intimidation, and violence to control others and to satisfy his selfish needs (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3978196/).
Lets take it from the begining. Dexter was destined to be a killer when he grows up when on the other hand BaReum never inteded to kill anyone when he was a kid and he also prayed to not became a monster. BaReum was a psycho, but not all psychos are killers and not all killers are psychos. Maybe without OZ interference BaReum wouldn't become a killer.
Also the motives are different. BaReum killed his first victim for revenge and he saw that he enjoyed it, so he kept on doing it. Dexter had no other choice but kill because of his addiction. Thus, BaReum killed for joy, Dexter killed for need.
Now you'd tell me "But what about the BaReum after the surgery?". BaReum after the surgery was taking pills that reduce serotonin levels, so he was unsteble and violent. Daniel Lee and Choi Hoong So took advantage of his sutuation and made him believe that he has to kill. They used him to kill some bad people. Dexter as I know wasn't used by anyone (if I'm wrong correct me).
In conclusion, the two stories are completely unrelated. If you want a story related to Mouse, then look at the fairytail "Wizard of OZ", because there's where Mouse is based on.
Last about the locks. We've seen it in many kdramas, it's not something new. Almost all the doors in Korea are working with password. We saw it on ep 6 too, when the unlocked YoHan's house. If you know the password, you can unlock the door. Oh Bong Yi was BaReum's gf so of course she knew BaReum's password. Shin Sang too somehow leart the password and opened the door. Did they have to show it to us again how they opened the door? Well no, because they have to show us more importand things in the duration of 1 hour and 15 minutes.
lol the only kdramas that don't have censored scenes are the netflix original ones. https://kisskh.at/article/2017/07/08/a-guide-to-south-korean-censorshipAlso…
Yeah at the first season they only blurred the wounds. The replica shouldn't have been a problem, but law is law I guess..
Yeah the show has many characters and it’s a mystery so of course it’s confusing. In the end though, everything…
Okay first, Daniel Lee is not someone of the crowd. He is a scientist (biologist), a very known-one. He was also with politicians and discussing about passing a law. In later episodes you’ll see that he is also in cooperation with the police, as an expert in psychopathy. So yeah, he could pass the police entrance.
About the other things you’ll understand later so I don’t want to spoil anything. But I assure you that everything will make sense. You have to watch til the end though because things about the past will become clear at the last eps. Also watch “Mouse the predator” after ep 15
Many characters, confusing beginnings, but above all - very unrealistic first episode. Killing 4 accidental people…
Yeah the show has many characters and it’s a mystery so of course it’s confusing. In the end though, everything is explained. Thus, I advise you to not make any hasty conclusions because everything happens for a reason that you don’t know yet and everything is important. Even the killing at the first episode you’re referring to. The random guy also is not a random guy at all xD

Well I got used to it so now censored scenes don’t bother me. Yes medical dramas are the same. For example in “partners for justice” the corpes are blurred.

No no what I mean is that only the netflix originals shows are uncensored, like extracurricular for example. All the kdramas that are aired in cable TV have to be censored, that’s the law. So, there’s not an uncensored version of Mouse.
No worries about the end, it’s not a cliffhanger at all.
Also the ending is fine, for me is perfect. I haven’t seen anyone complain about it. Only those who didn’t like the show in general didn’t like it and it makes sense.
The movie it’s just a recap and it shows only some if the main events. You won’t understand much and you won’t…
Okay look, it’s not exactly like this, it’s far more complicated. If you like psychological thrillers just watch it to see for yourself what exactly happened.
The thing is that in psychological thrillers the line between the good and evil is very blurry. Everyone has his own moral compass.

You're welcome! Yes they are really good news, I was really happy when I saw it on instagram. I'm also suprised of how many people love Mouse and supporting it on instagram and twitter too. I hope it gets an award because it deserves it!
tvN’s drama ‘Mouse earns nomination at an international TV series festival
It’s been almost two months after the last episode of tvN’s drama ‘Mouse’, starring Lee Seung Gi, was aired and the drama is slowly starting to gain the international recognition as it is reported that ‘Mouse’ will participate at the Series Mania 2021 festival.
Series Mania, based in Lille since 2018, is a French international TV series festival and one of the biggest events about TV series in Europe. In July 1st, Series Mania has announced its line-up for the upcoming festival and includes some of the greatest international TV series of 2021. The Series Mania 2021 will take place in Lille from August 26th - September 2nd (see all the date details here https://seriesmania.com/en/dates-a-retenir/ ).
tvN’s drama ‘Mouse’ is included on the Series Mania 2021 and it will be screened and competing at “International Panorama” category. According to festival’s details, “the International Panorama jury will award the best series prize and special jury prize as well as best actress and actor. A Student jury will also award their prize for best series in this section” (source https://seriesmania.com/en/2021-program/ ).
In addition, the screenwriter of ‘Mouse’ Choi Ran has been officially invited to the Series Mania 2021 as representative of ‘Mouse’ according to an interview by the reporter Nam Ji-Eun (full interview here https://m.hani.co.kr/arti/culture/culture_general/1002105.html ).
guys help out here... 20 episodes is kinda putting me off. Should I give it a go? Is it worth it?
If you like psychological thrillers and unique plots then it's a must watch.
But have in mind that mouse is not a light-watch drama. It has many characters and a lot of informations and things that are going on. Read the spoiler free part of my review for more info.
The problem I have with the article is the fact the drama does accurately represent someone far on the spectrum,…
Yeah I don’t comment very usually my opinion either. But I’m really happy when I sometimes do it and I have good conversations with others and we exchange opinions with respect ( ◠‿◠ )
The problem I have with the article is the fact the drama does accurately represent someone far on the spectrum,…
Yes yes I agree, the idea is pretty good and talking about issues like these through famous series is very creative. It's good when articles like these are published because the make us wonder and think about society.
But as trustworthy are the comments here, so it’s the article that’s my point.

I agree with @Kate here. Of course you can’t trust someone in the comments, but you can’t trust the author of the article either, and that’s because of the lack of sources. In the article the author said that he/she did some research but didn’t mention where exactly he/she read it and who said that.
That’s why the article is pretty weak and it can’t justify itself. If you want to write an article like that you have to work a lot and read a lot researches so you can be as accurate and trustworthy as possible.
The second episode doesn’t have something new, but it will give you a very important clue (basically 2). You have to pay attention to the dates.
If you want don't watch the second episode, but watch definitely the first episode, it’s mind-blowing.
Also watch “Mouse: the predator” after ep. 15
