DO NOT WATCH. It is melodramatic garbage. The FL causes so much trouble and pain to the ML, but she never said sorry once in the entire show; while even when the ML is not at fault, he said sorry like 500 times. The FL is so terribly written and the whole show is melodrama. The ML sacrifices everything for her at the end and she dips and then you have a 1 year time skip of them being separated because the FL ran away. Like what? Then he finds her after one year and no convo happens, he just proposes to her and she accepts....WHAT? then why run away. makes absolutely no sense.

the summary is that she is a tone-deaf producer and the ML is a famous singer...they could have shown so many good moments of them working together but they did not work together even once...How do you ruin the premise and just make the whole thing melodrama. I do not get why people like this stuff. Read my spoiler comment if you want more info, but def do not even start this.

Do not bother with this one. It is just a compilation of overused plot lines; for example, she gets amnesia after falling on a bike...These triangle relationships always have such a double standard. The guy always makes the relationship clear and draws a line with the side girl, but the girl always flirts and leads the side guy on. It is starting to get annoying. They make the FL lead appear oblivious, like oh he's just a friend and take no responsibility for making their significant other feel like shit. Throughout the story, it is literally the ML that takes all the suffering, while the FL is the cause of all of it and she is completely oblivious. She did not apologize once and the ML keeps taking the blame and is the bigger person because if he doesn't the FL will just leave him; and it is kind of pathetic. Even when her friend tells her straight up that the ML sacrificed a lot to be with her and the ML explicitly tells her he is very jealous and does not want her to be alone with the side guy, she keeps doing it. She literally treats the SML better and is way more considerate of his feelings, but when it comes to her husband she has no clue and does nothing for him. The ML is so hurt by the FL literally going on dates with the SML while they are married and he still does not blame her. One moment when the ML confronts the FL while she ran away to live with the SML and says I'm sorry, the SML tells him to fuck off in front of the FL and she takes the SML's side. It is absolutely ridiculous. The FL's character is absolutely terribly written; although she is cute. I really feel bad for the ML here as he is just a punching bag. No one cares about him at all. I do not think the FL actually acknowledged any of the pain the ML was going through once. Like does the SML not have any other friends? why is she spending a romantic candlelight dinner with the SML on his birthday when she is married? And then the SML walks her home and first thing she says to ML is "you're not mad". If you knew it would upset him, why do it? make it make sense. But the FL makes the ML the bad guy for feeling jealous. You are literally going on a date with the SML...The FL is actually terrible. When the ML goes to the hospital to take care of the SFL, the FL asks to go with him cause she is jealous. Why can't the ML feel the same. The ML and SML are childhood friends can he not go with her when she meets the SML? She does not understand this once...it is infuriating to me. I do not know why people like this stuff.

It would have been nice if they focused the plot on the leads actually loving each other. One wants to be a composer and the other is a famous singer. They could have made such good moments of them working together but nope, lets just do melodramatic garbage.

There were good moments though as the lead actors are good. Just a lot of melodramatic garbage i had to skip through. I could not imagine actually watching the whole thing.

Great points! I completely agree with you about So-ah's character. It really made no sense. I was waiting for a double cross the whole time but turns out she really was just selfish. And the way they just made Geun Soo a terrible person out of nowhere. It was a nice revenge story, but of course it was not realistic and involved plot armor. Towards the end, a lot of the characters started doing things that did not make sense, but overall i loved the story and still rate it highly.

agreed, but i prefer the feelings the FL showed for the ML over stuff like kissing scenes. When the FL said she first wanted to make the ML succeed. When she cried for his pain because he wouldn't. When she faced danger to get evidence for the ML and got beat up for him with a smile. When she talked to the SFL saying she will always love the ML more than her because when the SFL was waiting for the ML to get rich, she thought, "I will make him rich". When the ML is down, instead of thinking give up like the SFL, she thinks" I will kill those bastards" lol. When she realized she took the ML's first kiss while he was drunk. Those moments to me were more romantic than a date scene

Amazing story. The leads were so good and the moments they shared were beautiful. There were so many morals to this story and life lessons that make me rate it so highly.

The only gripes i had were the SFL and Geun Soo's characters. I literally thought the SFL was a double agent the whole time and was waiting til the end to see it, but nope she is just a selfish person who does not care for anyone but herself. The ML's dad paid for her tuition and basically raised her, yet she betrayed him and felt no remorse. She may have got her redemption, but this was only forced because they crossed the line and tried to murder the ML. Also the guy basically said he tamed her which made her betray him. Going to Geun Soo, the story started with him being a lost soul with no one that cared for him. When he met the ML he said he felt like it was his first time meeting an adult. His character was built to be a caring and nice guy then I guess because he got rejected; he became completely despicable and betrayed the only people the cared about him. Here i thought it was his plan to double cross as well, BUT NOPE he's just an asshole. Both these characters did not make any sense to me.

Completely agree. I loved the beginning but the story kind of lost it's meaning towards the end. But there were a lot of amazing moments. I still give it a 10/10

All these melodramas are catered to women. That is the audience.

Good story, premise, and actors; but it has a lot of the same melodramatic stuff going on when it comes to the triangle relationships. It is so predictable and I could guess exactly what was going to happen once a scene started. When i saw her pet the lost dog at the park i knew the SML was gonna show up LOL. Your standard melodramatic drama, but the premise is different so it was worth the watch. Wish they included her kid in the story more instead of just having her living in the Philippines and just mentioned. The leads do not get together til late in story like normal, but they do have a lot of nice moments with the build up. The ML is a genuinely nice guy who cares a lot for the FL who of course never saw everything he did for him until it all culminates and slaps her in the face. Even after he confesses she does not accept it...even after everything he has done for her. This would not be a problem, except she does have feelings for him so why reject him? Yeah there are superficial reasons you could say but that is your standard melodrama for you.

Good drama, but i am kind of getting tired of the same romantic tropes being overused, but that is not this dramas fault and more my bias. I am kind of upset I did not enjoy this drama as much because it is actually very good. I think i need to take a break from melodramas.

Great story with a great premise. Actors are great, i loved the FL and the ML is the guy from Hidden Love. Nothing to complain about with this story; though I was not very invested in the side leads romance.

Wow this was a very emotional drama. I have not seen a story like this. A man who is dying with so much baggage left to resolve....A great watch.

Acting was great. The FL really displayed her character's emotions well. You rarely see a premise like this and the kid stole the show lol. The triangle relationship with the leads and SML was done well and not very melodramatic. Once the ML learned the SML had a crush on the FL; they actually had a reasonable discussion about it which you never see in korean dramas. It was so refreshing to see. Great show. Its on Youtube for free and you can just click the playlist and watch at your convenience on the best streaming platform IMO.

Love O2O was a nice lighthearted drama and accomplished what they wanted to do. This drama had a great premise. A great story to base it off (the manga is good), good actors. But they butchered the story. How can you rate this drama highly when it has so many plot holes and makes the whole story a dream…and then proceed to not explain how he had that dream. I’m not gonna waste my time going over your list and criticize every rating you have because your opinion differs from mine 😂 it’s nothing personal. It’s just my opinion. I enjoyed the drama, I just absolutely hate the ending which does not mirror the source material.

Edit: looked at your list and we actually have similar taste 😂 I’m surprised you are hating on love O2O. It’s ok though Chinese dramas aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. I recently saw it and enjoyed it because it was so different from K-Dramas and the love displayed in the series was so pure and the friendship scenes were funny. I actually laughed out loud for a lot of scenes. I liked it but you don’t have too. That’s ok.

Surprisingly, I am not too much a fan of this drama. It was kind of slow. I did not like how long it took for the ML to start feeling emotions. I have been a fan of Chinese dramas from watching shows like Love O2O and Hidden Love where the leads love is so strong. Here the FL is obsessed with the ML and he keeps pushing her away, but starts to get jealous of another guy wooing her and he still refuses to show emotion. I get that he has childhood trauma, but it got old. Usually Chinese drama's pacing is better, but this one was very repetitive at the start. They do the same recurring thing for like 15 episodes. FL approaches ML and he is cold to her. The 3rd wheel approaches FL and flirts with her and they show ML jealous. They do this for like 15 episode straight...Around episode 17 it gets better and the story finally progresses. I would normally like the high school life, but it was so repetitive...Also the SML does this whole grand goodbye to the FL and they made it all melodramatic like he was giving up on her and literally a few scenes later he is calling her after a swim meet and continues to flirt with her. like what was the point of all that then.

Not a terrible watch but I was not a big fan and probably would not recommend it.

I was so surprised Dr. Qin accepted that the ML loved the FL and when she found out they were dating she immediately wished him the best and stayed friends. You never see this normal reaction in dramas and it was so nice to see. In K-dramas, the side characters usually chase the leads right up until the end ignoring the leads feelings which I always found weird.

Good drama. Has your standard childhood friend meets as adults trope, but they do it well. This is a lighthearted drama with little melodrama and just a feel good watch. I was not interested in the side leads story so i skimmed through that, even though their story was good.

Man I have been loving chinese dramas as opposed korean melodramas. I have not been able to find a good korean drama without being annoyed by the same melodramatic tropes being used over and over again. It is almost impossible to find a korean drama without a triangle relationship. Chinese dramas do it too, but I've found in Chinese dramas, the leads love is so much stronger and they usually have other people interested in the leads, but the leads do not reciprocate it in any way and are usually very respectful of each other. Also the friendships in these Chinese dramas are so nice to see. The writing demonstrates friendship and love at it's peak as opposed to melodrama. Just a feel good story.

This show is great with nothing to be annoyed about. Just a solid show. It does have a lot about gaming and kind of seemed like an Ad lol.

hell yeah, gina so fine and yang yang has been putting out great work. Love O2O, Fireworks in My Heart, and You are my glory are all so good.

An amazing show with a lot of touching moments. The actors are amazing and were able to display their character's emotions so well. The ML's actions and character are really something you can learn from and it was beautiful to see such a selfless, righteous character. The love between the leads was also strong and the actors had good chemistry. My favorite scene was with the ML and his cousin at the end because it really demonstrates the ML's righteous character and made me want to strive to do the same in my life.

He has great work! Watched this one after Love O2O and am watching you are my glory next.

I did not like it because the show never showed the FL have any sort of emotions toward the SML. She only considered him a friend and only became his friend because he was basically the ML's brother. She never considered him romantically at all and yet he kept obsessing over her. I would not have been mad at all if the ML ended up with NJ and the FL ended up with the SML. I would have preferred that actually. I liked the show at first, but pacing slowed down and it became very melodramatic.
