if you are trying to call this a great drama, you have low standards. if this is a good drama, then you are spitting…
I completely agree with everything you said!

I feel it. They could have done a better job with the SML but they just kept repeating the same plot with him. I def wish they treated his character better instead of making him a psycho. Not like they didn’t have the screen time. Would have been nice if they introduced him to another female lead that could heal him and give him the love he deserved.

"Literally nobody did anything to him" ... come on now . He was literally stripped of his identity. LCF was just…
Without his adopted father he would be a nobody orphan that died like all the countless people that dude sacrificed for his obsession over a girl that only considers him a brother. Rationalize however you want but everything you say is cap 😂

So who is general cui to him? You tell me. Was he someone who deserved to be poisoned by someone he considered a son? Did the FL deserved to be poisoned and kidnapped like 5 times all because she didn’t want to marry him? What are you talking about. I usually agree to disagree but man how do you watch a show and disregard the feelings of all the characters but defend one psycho characters feelings? What about the FL who just wanted to be happy with her love? What about an adopted father who was betrayed by someone he considered a son? You can’t just disregard everything because you think him taking on another persons identity as a kid was traumatic. Even to the character they did not make this a big deal. They only made him look psycho cause he got rejected. He felt abandoned because she loved someone else. That was the only thing he was upset about. You can have your own interpretation but there was not one scene where he was mad about his identity.

"Literally nobody did anything to him" ... come on now . He was literally stripped of his identity. LCF was just…
He wasn't stripped of his identity. His dad wanted to return his real name so his bloodline can be properly restored. The character did not even care about his identity. He was only mad that he could not marry the FL. If he could marry the FL, he would have gladly got back his old name. The adopted dad literally told him he always felt bad for making him take the wrong identity and wanted to make it right. He literally said he treats him as his own son and the guy literally poisoned him right after and took over the family and trapped the FL to force her to marry him. He joined hands with his family's mortal enemies who want them dead just to try and marry the FL who does not want to marry him.

Just a tad bit evil? did you watch the show, he did poison the dad....and he poisoned the FL and kidnapped her multiple times. All because if he can't have her, nobody can. How is it not ungrateful that he tried to kill only people that loved him. Like why could he not treat the FL as a genuine sister. She told him she will never marry him and he keeps going. Is that how you treat family? that's not ungrateful?

So what did the adoptive father and FL really mean to him? The dad and FL treated him like real family. Did he resent them that much because he had to take up another identity? No he loved them and everything was good until the FL loved the ML. Once the FL rejected him; he went psycho. He did not care about anything else.

This is your typical melodrama. The plot is terrible, filled with stuff that does not make sense just to make it melodramatic. Very predictable plot with all the same melodramatic tropes used in other melodramas. That being said, the actors are great and I was able to watch it by skimming on Viki. The FL is literally useless in this show. She does not use her brain once even when things are right in front of her. Even when she is blatantly told the truth all we see are emotional scenes of her feeling sad instead of her helping...The FL literally does nothing for the ML the whole show.

Just your average drama which is very predictable, but it does have good scenes. I think it has every overused melodrama trope you can think of; amnesia, childhood friends that they didn't know, childhood trauma, triangle relationships, rich family problems...the list goes on.

Ahhh gotchu, that makes sense. must be genuine love for him to go buck wild like that. That's true.

Started with a bang and then dropped with a resounding clang. The guy acts like a monumental insensitive jerk…
I completely agree. From the 2nd episode it was apparent the FL was not going to learn about ML's memory loss for awhile. That's what these dramas always do. All the misconceptions could be explained if he just told her the truth which makes sense; but nope this is a typical melodrama. There were so many plot holes. Everyone rich in the show has all this power and connections, except for the ML. The actors were so good though.

Good choice on skipping episodes 2-5 because they are useless.

I did not enjoy this story that much. There was too much going on that the main characters also feel like side characters. Literally all the girls have triangle relationships. this show is very melodramatic and not very original. Has some good moments though but nothing special.

I really enjoyed this drama until the middle. The ML begins from humble beginnings and is portrayed as a nice guy who does not care for materialistic things and just wants to help people. He is shown as friendly and goofy, but once their company succeeds he becomes a complete asshole. He loses all reason and becomes hotheaded and is controlled by everyone. He lashes out at his friends and colleagues and even the FL which was way out of character. He does a complete 180 in terms of personality; i could not believe it. He finally wakes up around episode 30 and the scene was very emotional.

It is definitely a business centric drama with romance taking a backseat. I can see why a lot of people criticize this drama, because a lot of the plot could be avoided and does not make a lot of since.

For those asking the FL confesses her emotions at ep 32 while drunk, but they do not pursue a relationship because she wasn't ready. There really isn't any romance after at all. No kissing scene between the leads either.

Is it that slow?Like at ep 12 do they get together? There must obviously be moments before too right? And I just…
Yeah you see a lot of the same stuff up til ep 9. Since they are exes from the start and their breakup was bad, most of the series is them putting together the pieces, but this gets repetitive up til ep 9. The ML sulks a lot and the FL takes awhile to realize her feelings. Still a very good series and I enjoyed the high school flashbacks. I rated it 8/10 because it is a good melodrama and has a happy ending. It does have all the same melodrama you see in other shows, but that's normal for these shows. The leads do have very nice moments.

I do not think I have seen a more evil character than Liu Cheng Feng in a romance drama; but I have not seen many historical dramas. He goes completely off the rails when the FL says she only loves him as an elder brother. He then goes on to betray absolutely everyone and anyone he can to force the FL to marry him. He becomes allies with the sworn enemies of his adoptive father who treats him like a real son. He tries to kidnap and poisons the FL to trick her. He then poisons his dad and blames the ML trying to kill him, then lies to the FL that the dad said he wanted her to marry him. Literally nobody did anything to him....The FL just did not love him in a romantic way and he absolutely went crazy and caused the death of so many people. To poison your own father and go as far as poisoning the girl you supposedly love is wild. His story gets old. Dude does the same thing over and over again. He goes crazy, sides with some other people to kidnap the FL and kill the ML. This happens like 5 times...

Her consistently using tricks to get him to do what she wants...the manipulation...like does this get better because…
The thing is the ML is so smart, none of her tricks ever worked. They were just being cute with each other. But I do agree, the story long as hell and I had to skim through some parts.
On Wonderland of Love Oct 16, 2024
This is my first historical drama and I absolutely loved it. The leads are amazing and their love for each other is very strong. The moments they share are beautiful and you can feel the emotions.

I enjoyed most of the show, but some characters and plot lines I despised. All scenes with the ML's family are almost unbearable to watch. The same thing happens over and over again. You see the same kind of plot regurgitated in different ways throughout the show until the end. Like the FL gets kidnapped by the same dude like 4 times...Would have been better with less episodes but Chinese dramas usually have 30-40 episodes.

Side note: I have seen a lot of dramas, but the background music in this one was great and really set the mood for scenes. Usually I do not even notice the music.

I do not appreciate how the fate of Miss Gu turned out. She was not a bad character but she was just misused by…
Your opinion on the show is extremely biased and not objective at all. Every statement you made on characters can have a different perspective. I respect your opinion but do not agree. You are able to look at Liu Cheng Feng's character at a different perspective than most, but judge other characters so harshly. Liu Cheng Feng literally caused the death of hundreds/thousands of his allies by betraying them because he has a psychotic obsession over a girl, but you give him a pass because of trauma? And you call that love? That's not how it works; what about the trauma he caused other people? Even his death does not absolve his crimes. I do agree with the H19279's opinion completely and your first comment though.

The ML would give up the FL if it meant her happiness. That is real love. Liu Cheng Feng is the complete opposite. He does not care about anyone but himself. If he can't have the FL, no one can. That's your idea of love? Dude tried to kidnap her and kill her dad; that's your idea of true love? Like she tells him that she loves him as an older brother; is that not ok? Why does that have to make him psychotic and make him kill his own dad? You crazy if you think that's genuine love.

Nice chinese drama. I did not know about the prequel and watched it after seeing a recap on youtube. This is very chinese centric in terms of arranged marriages and family drama, but I enjoyed that. I did not like the ML's reserved character, but it I did not hate it either. They kissed once up til episode 15 then all of a sudden at the end of episode 15 they have sex lol. I do love how both the leads shut down the side characters interest in them immediately and do not even entertain the thought. I have seen so many dramas and for once you have the FL acknowledging the ML's feelings regarding jealousy and shutting shit down.

The FL is dumb, self centric , someone who first invited misery upon herself and then cried.sabotages her relationship,…
I agree with a lot of what you said, but overall it was a solid drama. All those critiques you mentioned are par for the course for these kind of romance melodramas. Still had some cute moments, but nothing special. Just your average rom com. Kind of felt the story was just a culmination of romance cliché moments as opposed to a good story without any plot holes. I gave it a 8/10 because it's good for what it is. It is supposed to have all those annoying cliches because it's a romance melodrama. I think people enjoyed the chemistry between the leads and those romantic moments as opposed to a good well rounded story.

Amazing drama. Not a lot of melodrama and was a great story. A lot of comedy as well. I loved the ML's assistant. her facial expressions when she was disgusted with the leads acting lovey dovey was hilarious. The last episode was so emotional...the acting in this show is fantastic all around. Definitely a 10/10 for me.

best couple award absolutely DESERVED! if I could rate this 10000/10 I would😫 strong SGDBS vibes and ugh the…
Felt the same way, love how the FL kissed him first. I was not expecting since the ML was acting all tsundere the whole time. I love when the FL actually understand the ML's emotions instead of the same ole melodrama with a bunch of misunderstandings.

Her Private life is very similar in that there is not a lot of melodrama and the leads love is just as strong if not stronger. The premise involves an art gallery as well, although the stories are pretty different. It is a very emotional yet lighthearted story. It has a lot of amazing moments and is well paced. You will like it a lot. I give Dali and Her Private Life both 10/10's but I def liked her private life better. You will not regret watching it!

love triagle , happy end ?
Ofc it has a love triangle, so rare to find a romantic drama that doesn't. And some may think it was a happy end, but I did not like the ending one bit. The ending made me regret even skimming through this show.
