Cdramas for me don't have a lot of rewatch value because of how long the series are. They are usually 24-40 episodes long. The stories can also very similar and repetitive since the series are so long.

Good Chinese Dramas I enjoyed include:

Good thing about cdramas is you can watch most of them on youtube or viki for free.

This is more a comedy than a romantic drama. The show's first couple episodes is nothing but gags until it gets "serious". This show is not meant to be taken seriously at all and there is little romance. The ML mainly uses the FL for her psychometry and there is very little romance. They argue for the majority of the show and there are little real romantic scenes between the two which is fine.

It is tough to combine mystery with gag comedy IMO and I did not enjoy the show a lot tbh. The mystery itself was terrible. Also the mixture of grotesque psychotic murders with comedy does not go well. They really should have focused on romance and crime which actually go together.

All my favorite shows like this one include leads with strong love with each other. I also enjoy when a show makes you feel emotional.

Shows that meet this criteria that I enjoyed include:

=Her Private Life - This one I really enjoyed. It has the same female lead and is also one of my favorites.
=Doctor Slump
=It's Okay to Not Be Okay
=King of Land - Not much emotional aspect, but the leads really love each other. This one has a CEO of hotel in love with one of the employees.
=Pinocchio - This is an older drama from 2014 that I found was a hidden gem and has the criteria I mentioned earlier. It shows the leads grow up as children to adults and their love was very strong although there were things in the way.
=Queen of Tears
= Gyeongseong Creature - I recently watched this one and loved it. You may not like it due to the historical background, but I enjoyed it and it was a breath of fresh air. A unique drama, that you should add to your watchlist for a rainy day when you are bored. This has the same ML.
=Home Town Cha-Cha-Cha - The leads romance in here is nice.

Other shows that I enjoyed but not as much as the one's above that you may like are
= Shopping King Louie
=Healer - This has the same FL and the leads relationships is nice, but is focused on a lot of action.
= Itaewon Class - It is more a revenge story and less on romance but has the same ML.
=Flower of Evil - This is a thriller show that will leave you on the edge of your whole seat from start to finish. I am not a fan of thrillers but the love in this show and the plot was really well done.
= When the Weather is Fine = Has the same FL. This is a slow burn romance that I really enjoyed.
= Touch your heart - Nice office romance show where the leads love is strong although develops somewhat slow.

i respect your opinion but objectively a lot of it is incorrect. You can’t ignore the facts of the show. There was more than just a thread of romance. The entire show focused on the leads romance from start to finish. I respect your criticism on their romance though. The show literally ends with the FL “dying” by sacrificing herself for the male lead and she saves him by telling her mom this is the man she loves and he embraces her as she does. The last scene is him mourning her and looking into the crowd thinking of her. Even in the sequel it focuses on their romance and how fate will always bring them together. Objectively I don’t get how you can see that as a minuscule. Factually the entire show is about romance. There can subjectively be a lot to criticize about their romance. But to say there was little romance or romance was not a big part of the show doesn’t make sense when the entire show was about the leads relationship.

And if the ML never met the FL he would never have risked his life to save anybody and would have stuck to his plan to flee. That was a big part of the show. His best friend called him a coward for not being part of a bigger cause. This is explicitly stated multiple times by multiple characters In the end he changed and played a big part in koreas revolt.

How is the romance part nothing noteworthy? The entire show is romance. The ML changes his entire character of being selfish for the FL. Due to his mother's dying words, he treated his life as the most important thing. If he never met the FL, he would have just ran away to save himself like originally planned, but meeting her changed everything for him. He was more than willing to sacrifice his life for her on multiple occasions. How much more love do you need? What is more romantic than two people with their lives constantly in danger protecting each other. What's more romantic than risking your life for the one you love? There are so many touching moments between the leads. There is even a juicy kissing scene where they GO IN. Even in full on romance shows, they do not kiss like that. They make out for like 2 minutes LMAO. The entire show is the leads staying together no matter what happens and living for each other. How much more romance do you want? How is their development up to imagination? I do not get this part because they explicitly express their love for each other and he even says he wants to be with her forever. They embrace each other on multiple occasions as well. Objectively, your comment on their romance is incorrect. There is even a love triangle LOL.

Watch it, these people are crazy. First of all, its a drama and tv show. They can't believe another character is in love with another character in a story?

No. They are just hating on the FL's actress because they do not think she is attractive I guess. I can't believe there are people that think that the actress as a person is not fine as hell.

Watch it for the drama though. I am not a fan of historical background dramas, but this story is very good. It is an emotional story that checks all the boxes for a good drama. There is a reason it is rated well.

Give this show a shot. It is very unique and is an amazing story. Not one thing to complain about, just a good show. I was not a fan of the historical background due to my ignorance, but you can still enjoy it.

Such a touching emotional story. The tag is slight romance, but IMO the romance is very good. All of the ML's actions and him putting his life on the line constantly are due to romance. His life's motto before meeting the FL was to put his life above all else and the moment he met the FL that changed completely. What is more romantic than two people with their lives constantly in danger protecting each other. What's more romantic than risking your life for the one you love? The leads express their love for each other explicitly and want to be together forever. There are many touching moments between them. The love between the leads is very strong. The entire show is revolves around the leads and their love.

The biggest thing for me when rating dramas highly is the emotions the drama makes me feel. And this show will have you feeling. 10/10 for me.

I had the exact same opinion. I stopped around the same part and lost interest. I just finished the show because I had too, but it was tough for me to even finish because it was boring.

Facts. They brought it up for so many episodes prior as this big mystery and he just resolved it with the snap of his fingers basically and it had no impact on the story at all. All those poor women died for nothing lmao

I just finished too and am upset that I watched it. The show made no sense. They tried so hard to make everyone suspects and to try and make the show this big mystery with all these "twists", but ended up doing too much and making the show boring. By the end, I really did not care anymore and skimmed. It got so repetitive. It was a simple kidnapping case that they made into this convoluted mystery by showing all these useless red herrings. They should have focused more on the leads relationships and their emotional link. What a waste of a good premise. They don't even explain the mysterious link between the leads and once everything is resolved; they just say the link is gone. Oh well. Instead of focusing on character's relationships; they focus on nonsense.

I get the point of the show is that the entire neighborhood is filled with selfish nut jobs, but everything they do does not make sense. So many people were involved with the ML's sisters disappearance and not one of them said anything due to various reasons. A lot of them had facts about the case that could have resolved everything, but they hid it and said nothing for their own selfish reasons.

For instance, the guy left the kid there in an alley alone when she asked him to take her home. She told him, she was kidnapped and being chased and the dude just left her there because he had a long day at work? Does that make any sense? Then he has the nerve to feel guilt? Who would leave a child alone that says they are being chased? Only a monster would do that, someone incapable of feeling guilt... None of the story makes any sense. Not only did they do nothing for a child, they did nothing for the family grieving. They did nothing for the guy that was framed for her disappearance. None of the neighborhood did anything illegal but decided to bury their information for selfish reasons at the costs of a little girl, her family, and even let an innocent man rot in jail; ruining his family as well. Does that make any sense?

The stalker was such a big part of the first half of the show and he is removed from the show so quickly and not spoke of again. The end shows the cops having an emotional moment when the show barely introduced these characters to begin with. They maybe had 30 minutes total of scenes in the entire show. Why should you care? This show is the perfect what not to do when it comes to mystery/romance shows.

This is a terrible show that I regret watching. Really unique premise, but they really drag out the mystery and it becomes boring/uninteresting. They try too hard to add the element of mystery and do not focus enough on the premise which is the emotional link between the leads.

Honestly the story tries so hard to have this mystique that it really does not make any sense. The story is very repetitive. The writers think if they add all these red herrings and "twists" it will make the show good, but it is just poorly done and as an audience you aren't invested in the characters enough to care because they do not focus on the characters but the aura of mystique. You really cannot understand why any of the characters do what they do because their actions are not logical or reasonable at all. The only reasonable character is the ML who does things due to his link with the FL and his curiosity to find out what happened to his sister.

Seems like everyone feels the same way. The show drags. They add so many elements to this nonsense mystery just to make everyone suspects. Terrible show. Wish I never started it so I didn't have to waste my time skimming. There are so many plot holes and so many elements they just added to the story for mystery and leave unresolved.

I guessed the culprit the whole time but WOW I would have never guessed the reason. What a twist.

Now this was a great show. Not one thing I can complain about. And I am a complainer. Solid 8.5-9/10.

Love how everything resolved in ep 15 and you get a whole episode of epilogue with everyone happy.

I 100% agree with you and read your entire comment. Literally every romance drama has a triangle relationship. Triangle relationships are ok but they always seem forced. I hated that in this drama they made it sad and put on sad background music that the SML had to let his love for the FL go when they never really had a relationship to begin with. It is even worse to me in shows when they do have a relationship because then it feels like the FL is two-timing. These triangle relationships always makes me feel like the FL has no care for the main love interest's emotions. To each their own. I am just getting tired of seeing it tbh.

But people love it I guess. It is always funny to me because in these triangle relationships, if there is a male with 2 females; the male always draws the line with the side female and tells her that he only likes the main female. While, when its 1 girl and 2 guys, the female leads the side guy on and makes the main guy jealous.

Read my spoiler below and stay away. The most nonsensical drama I have ever seen. The FL made me so upset with how terrible a character she is. The worst FL I have ever seen. The actress is good though but the character is so bad. There is a recap you can watch on youtube if you want, but do not waste your time watching this show.

Drama is a gag. If you think critically you won't like it but if you see it as silly, you may be able to enjoy it. As the title states, the FL is a deceitful liar who uses lies to get what she wants. One of the most selfish FL I have seen. The FL treats the SML better literally until the end and gives him more trust than the ML when she literally caught him red handed lying. The SML is the most despicable person and the FL trusts/treats him better. She literally catches him and overhears the SML with the ML's stepmom and knows they have an affair and are deceiving everyone and still does not trust the ML. SHE FINDS THIS OUT AND DOES NOT TELL THE ML RIGHT AWAY. Like WTF? Do you not think he should know that crucial information. Even after this scene, they show another scene of the SML confessing to the FL. WHAT? She just overheard you having an affair with the ML's stepmom and they show this? Why is the FL even still meeting alone with this guy? Then he says stuff to make her suspect the ML and she starts to doubt the ML AGAIN. The ML has done so much for her by this point and never expected anything in return and she still has the nerve to doubt his character. The FL's character may be the worst character ever written. All this nonsense plot of evil culminates into 5 minutes of revenge scene at the last episode. Absolutely terrible.

It is ridiculous how selfish the FL is. She only cares about herself and never once put herself in the ML's shoes. The ML is so selfless, helping her with everything. He got her farm back and she still does not give him the benefit of the doubt. The ML is a pushover and simp.

None of the show makes any sense and it is just plot. The music is awful as well. They try and make certain scenes sad when they are not sad at all. If someone digs their grave, they should lie in it.

These Chinese dramas make the wildest things happen for plot. This show finally put an end to me watching chinese dramas that are rated under 8. I will stick to the recap on Youtube if I'm interested.

That's because the main villain you speak of was never the main villain. It was always the FL's Mom and later you learn there as someone behind her. The ML's brother was someone who had nothing. His family and life was taken from him because of the FL's mom's lies which she did purposefully under the main villain. The ML's brother is a murderer but he was driven to madness by the main villain. We see this as he was considered a hero with all the stuff he did for people out of kindness until his murders came to light. That is why the story is tragic. Because someone innocent was turned into a murderer. The FL's mom never looked good. She just finally did what was right at the end and earned a little bit of redemption. Similar to the ML's brother who turned himself in.

Man the SML's character in this one is a creep. Dude gets obsessed with the FL because he found the FL's mom's phone and kept it stalking her as she was texting that number thinking it was her mom for 13 years. In all that time, he never said you got the wrong number and let a child growing up think she was texting a mother who abandoned her. Who falls in love with someone based off of miserable texts like that? He had no way of knowing who she was but he uses his money and influence to find her identity and everything about her. Then he goes on to stalk her and go to the same job interview as her. He never cared about the interview itself, just her. Then he uses his influence to get the same job as her to be near her. He is literally only a colleague, not even a friend, but calls the FL's family "dad and grandpa" the first time they meet.

I get it is not meant to be taken seriously, because his entire character is really just a gag. It is meant to be comedy and he is really only there to have a love triangle situation which every romance drama must have I guess.
