The summary and tags make me think this is gonna be a wild story because the summary is nice but the tags "death" "psychopathic female lead". The summary does not sound like a summary for a suspense thriller.

Didn't love the show. Not sure why exactly. I guess I did not like the premise or storyline. I also was not a fan of the acting. Did not really feel the actors emotions as I normally do with emotional scenes. Just meh to me. 7/10. Nothing special, except the unique beer premise. The side characters relationship was not interesting to me either. Usually I get invested in the characters, but these characters don't really get you to invest your emotions into them. Maybe it was just me because looks like the reviews are decent. I did enjoy that there was not a lot of toxic things or melodrama. They just didn’t build up the story or characters well enough for me to enjoy.

Nothing to hate on. Just nothing special.

I didn't love it. Just did enjoy the premise or plot. The show focuses on a women in her late 30s who focuses on her career for the #1 web search company. A lot of the show is business oriented, which makes sense because it is partly a revenge type show; but I just did not enjoy that which is my bias. The web search industry was not interesting and all the business dynamics and confrontations did nothing for me as well. The romance portion was good. The FL has a one night stand with the ML in episode 1 and the relationship develops from there. There was just too much extra stuff for me to enjoy. Maybe I will come back to it later.

He witnessed her walk in traffic with the aim of ending her life and the baby.. He too was shocked.. definitely…
I agree with you here. I guess we all just hate the ex-wife and like the ML so we got triggered 😂 people coming after you, including me 🤣🤣

The show itself is just bizarre and after letting it simmer, the ex-wife had her own trauma she was dealing with alone. Everyone got redemption at the end and the ML reconciled with the ex-wife so as the audience we should try and understand her side of the story as well. She was already broken at the point of suicide and hearing her husband abandon her was the last straw for her sanity.

I see Park Sung Hoon is in this and automatically assume he the killer. Excited to find out. Looks like this show has some good single father type moments which I know I will enjoy.

At the end of the day, I think after seeing the show, most people hate the ex-wife, so to see you criticize the ML instead of the psycho ex-wife triggers people, including me. Your opinion isn't necessarily wrong, I just think it's too extreme and you should take into account context. But I get it since you did not finish the show.

Title Marry You
Loving this. Similar to Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha in that the ML is also the islands go to guy and he can do it all. But this show has the element of single father and the funny kid interactions. The kids were absolutely hilarious 😂 Glad to see the side lead from Marry my Husband get a main lead role. The FL is great here too and the leads relationship is very strong! FL is very direct and straight forward which I love. I really have nothing to complain about. The show was perfect to me.

I hope the rating improves! Cause I am enjoying this for sure.

Edit: I realized why I like the show so much. There is not a lot if any melodrama. There is no filler and no repetition. I read some comments below and the critiques for this show are weird. I guess people want to see the same ole romance melodrama with the umbrella scenes, and girl falling scenes.

I liked that they didn't waste time with the FL's love triangle. She denied that guy and did not give him even a sliver of a chance. I think people are upset about that and wanted to see more flirty scenes with the FL and SML but I am very happy they did not go that route cause i am not a fan of triangle relationships.

This show is a breath of fresh air and is definitely unique. If you want to see the same ole romance melodramas with all the cheesy stuff, there are plenty of other options. Enjoy this show for what it is. It is a nice, short, family oriented rom com.

Episode 6 and I'm seriously thinking about rage quitting. How can these people be so damn stupid. Shes not even…
It's supposed to be funny. This show has comedy in it's genre but it didn't match with the depressing nature and I did not laugh, but still found it amusing. That being said, I like the show mainly for it's uniqueness.

Appreciated this review. I was going to start it but that ending is a big miss for me. I'd rather not invest any emotions into a show that I know is going to get me pissed. I skimmed through the last episode and YUP, I would have been LIVID. I do not get how he did not get any punishment for his actions. Hell at least have the FL be mad at him damn. She was smiling at the man and then the man still gets to take care of a kid he essentially kidnapped. That dude did not have amnesia. Everything he did was done maliciously for his own selfish desire. His actions benefited no one but himself and actually hurt people and ruined lives. Why build up all these actions just for a lackluster conclusion. To me an ending like that makes the entire story before somewhat meaningless. Even reading a spoiler review got me heated LOL. I cannot believe some people feel sorry for the SML and believe he redeemed himself. All he did was accept the truth. This story I will never understand.

She admitted she wanted to kill herself and the child. And being a husband does make you a patients health care agent. Meaning if they can’t make a meaningful health decision, the husband will. You don’t know shit and are using your bias to make terrible subjective comments. Yes the husband shouldn’t have done that. Yes he’s crazy. But that’s the point. All the characters are crazy. Why are you so hurt? Did the wife installing cameras in the house watching him 24/7 not bother you (which the ML is traumatized about due to the past). Did her giving all these pills to the ML and creating this whole plot to get him to commit suicide not bother you? Did her cheating not bother you? Where do you draw the line? A husband in distress making a decision to save his child. He didn’t say kill the wife. He said prioritize the child. It’s not right. But, he explained his reason which was enough for me. He said due to his trauma with his abusive father, the child was going to be everything to him. When she tried to kill herself and the child, something broke in him and he apologized for it. I don’t get why you are so upset about that.

1. Way to spoil everyone. There is so much build up behind this mystery and the reveal is a huge part of the mystery behind the story. The spoiler ruins the entire show.
2. You are so wacky to criticize the ML but not all the other crazy people in the show. No character in this show is perfect. They are all messed up and crazy including the ML. Why else would he agree to the wife’s ridiculous proposal to marry someone else in the first place. Her entire goal was to get him to kill himself after she learned what he did.
On When My Love Blooms Dec 11, 2024
Title When My Love Blooms Spoiler
The FL messed up putting her son through all that for her own selfish independence. Her son got to the point of contemplating suicide because of how bad it was. All because the FL could not suck it up and take handouts or the bare minimum child support from her rich ex-husband who cheated on her. I understand divorce but the child must always come first.

Also it kind of annoyed me that they introduced the ML’s wife immediately as a bad character as she was cheating on the ML with a young model. Then once the ML reunites with the FL she does a complete 180 and acts like she loves the ML and can’t lose him. Then from there we get so much screen time of the SFL being sad about losing the ML. Like are we supposed to forget you cheated which normally would be the end of a relationship right there. I mean the affair went on for years while he was in jail and even after. Like why are the writers making us feel bad for her 😂 She does get redemption and I liked her by the end because of the actress but didn’t want too lol. On the other hand, they introduced the FL’s ex husband as an ok person who ended up being the worst one in the show 🤣 all the money and even CEO evil grandpa didn’t try and get the ML killed, but the ex did with no hesitation. He also says some evil shit. Like “I don’t care about my ex or my son, I just want the ML and FL to suffer”. He did not deserve any redemption because he did nothing to deserve redemption because his motives were psychotic and done simply to harm. The SFL deserved it because they explained her background and there were a lot of scenes which showed she had a clear line of right and wrong when handling things which is why she explicitly criticizes the SML for his actions in the name of love. The show does not explicitly explain the SML’s motive but we can assume it is due to his need for possessiveness and control. He let the FL do whatever and take the kid but once the ML came into the picture he went crazy. At the end, he becomes a changed man with regret but I don’t see a psycho doing what he did changing like that. It’d be different if he had a better motive tbh.

This needs to be rated higher. Such a unique show focusing on older adult romance. Reminded me of The Glory but without all the evil shit going on 😂

On Come and Hug Me Dec 11, 2024
Title Come and Hug Me Spoiler
The duality between the ML's brother and the FL's brother was so well written that I am glad they explicitly explained it...It went over my head but when they brought it up it gave me chills...There are so many great scenes in this show. The acting is so good.

The ML's brother is one of the best characters and best storylines of the show. His character was written so well. His dad never showed him any affection as the older brother and gave all his attention to his younger brother. Both kids knew the dad was a killer as kids, but could not do anything about it. The father saw psychopathic tendencies in the ML which made him want to groom the ML into his protege. The brother never had those tendencies and due to his lack of affection at home and abandonment issues, he lashed out. He became violent to prove to his father that he could be like him. Even in jail, he clung to his father and forsook his brother. Once he got out of jail, he felt that he no longer belonged anywhere. He did not feel right staying with the step-mom and step-sis. He wanted to get revenge on his brother for ruining everything and blamed his brother and the FL for it all. He felt his brother was living a good life, while he was in jail (which was completely inaccurate). He also had an inferiority complex to his younger brother as a kid who was top of his class, good at sports, and a model kid basically. But, the bottomline is although the ML's brother is violent, he does not have it in him to kill anyone. His redemption was a great one.

The FL's brother was adopted into the FL's family at 12 when he lost his biological parents. Then he loses his adoptive parents as well. I'm not sure if they explicitly explained what happened to his biological parents but it is stated that the brother stabbed someone during the incident. Thus, he himself is an actual murderer. The FL's brother condemns the ML's family for their psychopath dad and believes the ML is the same, but this is him reflecting his inner thoughts of himself onto the ML. Unlike ML's brother who is trying to be a psychopath, the FL's brother is trying to hide that he is one. He is not a psychopath, but due to his trauma, he thinks he is one. Although, after the scenes between the brothers; he has a good psychopathic laugh LMAO. Both older brothers could not save their siblings or family from falling apart and they blame themselves for it.

I really enjoyed this show. I love a good healing show. The actors are so good and the way they show their emotions is beautiful and you can feel for them. There are so many emotional, heartfelt scenes in this show. The stepmom is such a good actress. Most of the characters are written very well. The ML's brother and step-sis are also great characters. I am someone who likes to focus on the leads when I watch a drama, but in this show the leads were secondary for me. The leads acting was ok but compared to the supporting cast; the scenes they were given did not have the same emotional impact that the other cast showed.

The ML is kind of stoic in all his scenes which I did not love (similar to how he was in my roommate is a gumiho) and the FL is kind of bland. A lot of people hate on the romance or chemistry, and it may be due to the actors. The characters themselves had a great romance. The FL from childhood to adulthood was always an angel. It was love at first sight for them when they met at 16. For her to not blame the ML once and only feel pain for him for them both being in such a messed up situation was such a nice change to see. The show is not just a romance show and is not a melodrama. There are so many sweet moments between the leads, but they were not the best scenes nor the focus of the show. The highlights of the show were the emotional healing scenes and the climatic confrontations.

Great show that had me feeling a rollercoaster of emotions and I give it a 9.5/10.
On What Comes after Love Dec 11, 2024
Not a fan of the plot tbh, but still enjoyed watching it. You have a Korean undergrad going to Japan alone for travel and possible graduate studies and she meets a Japanese graduate student who she falls in love with. They break-up sporadically with the FL just leaving and going back to Korea and 5 years later re-unite under new circumstances. And ofc they still have feelings for each other.

This is a common plot and nothing new. It is hard to do well because the leads will have new love interests after a break-up which will be left hanging once the leads reunite. This always makes you feel sad for the side characters, but in this case you do not feel too bad because they do not show enough of the side characters for you to feel invested into them. But both side leads are genuinely nice people.

The thing that upset me was their reason for break-up which could have been resolved with a simple conversation. If they are still in love after a 5 year break-up, they obviously had strong feelings for each other, but can't have a convo? I guess they set that trait in the ML prior to the break-up as he had a similar problem with her ex-gf before the FL. He is someone that avoids conflict and does not know how to resolve these situations so he did not try and talk to the FL; while the FL just up and left immediately LOL. I won't spoil the reason for break-up but it was one of the dumbest reasons for a break-up ever. I get people falling out of love, but this was not the case. Beginning and ending were good. Middle with all the melodrama was meh.
