this lead combo is going to make this drama amazing

I honestly loved it, but i did skip all the parts people hated. Pretty much any part with the SML with the glasses i skipped.

The FL is so gorgeous and the mother in law was the best part of the show.

Rewatched this and it’s still amazing to me.

Han mi still best girl.

21 jump street, but korean rom com version. it has all the best dynamics you love to see.

this is a pretty accurate review. this is your classic chinese fanservice drama, but a little higher budget than those temu ones on youtube lol. Honestly the show is good for what it is.

Honestly a masterpiece. An amazing melodrama fitting the title. No BS melodrama though. No triangle relationships. Nothing that will make you upset.

Just a beautiful story with a beautiful soundtrack and beautiful life lessons. I went through a rollercoaster of emotions binging this show. 10/10. This is definitely one of my top 5 shows and I’ve seen so many now.

I was hesitant to watch this highly rated show for so long. After watching most of the top k-dramas, I can't even get through the first couple episodes of the lower rated dramas or some of these new dramas. Recently tried Love Your Enemy and although the summary was right up my alley, I couldn't get through it and it felt cringy.

This drama was a breath of fresh air. Funny, lighthearted and not meant to be taken seriously.

It was the FL. Not the older sister. And it wasn’t rape because the FL consented. Even after it happened she wanted to have a relationship with SML but he didn’t want that. The FL has to consider it rape for it to be rape. Just because she resisted the kiss doesn’t mean it was rape when the character herself doesn’t consider it rape.

You def are mixing the story up but I can’t blame you because it’s a shit story that anyone would want to forget

I only skimmed through episode 1 so I’ll take your word for it. But the point is the writers go out of there way to make ML appear like a loser. They give him a fat suit with glasses and label him as a 20 year old virgin. He lives his whole life into his 30s+ still obsessed with a girl who left him and moved on with her life. The show may get better but episode 1 did not introduce the characters in a likable manner for a lot of people. You have the ML who is a complete loser. And a FL who doesn’t care about anyone but herself. It’s obvious she decided to cut the ML out of her life completely as the people doubted she would even go to her “grandfathers” funeral.

It’s not about sex. It’s about being obsessed with someone who left you high and dry. The writers clearly go out of their way to make the ML a loser hence the fat suit, glasses, and explicit virgin label.

Shows are created to be criticized. Just because you don’t agree with someone doesn’t mean people aren’t entitled to their opinions. You can’t watch any show or read any book without analyzing what you are watching. People can enjoy the show just like people can dislike it. IMO The writers wrote a shit story. They introduced the ML as a fat 20 year old virgin obsessed with his childhood friend. they literally gave the dude a fat suit…Most people aren’t going to like a show where the ML is a complete loser 😂 A shit story is a shit story. And I can share my opinion if I want. That’s the point of this comment section. But hey I only watched episode 1. Maybe the show gets better but I personally don’t appreciate a show where the leads relationship is so lopsided. Feel free to share one thing you like about the show. Maybe you’ll change my mind.

It’s all in the first 10 minutes. Weird show. How is anybody supposed to care about a ML who is introduced as a fat 20 year old virgin who is obsessed with a girl who steals his virginity before she leaves the town. He literally didn’t want to have sex with her but she was hell bent on taking his virginity because she wanted his first time to be “special”. Then they time skip and he’s still a loser obsessed with her. But post time skip they remove the fat suit 😂😂😂 Man I wanted to like the show because I like the actors but can’t get into a show where the main character is such a loser.

This show is damn near perfect and is a breath of fresh air. After watching all the good K-dramas, the last 10 shows I tried to watch have been damn near unwatchable because of the annoying melodrama and cringe, but this one got me back wishing for more.

Now this is a good show. First episode was very well done. Pace was amazing. Characters introduced well and you start to love them quickly. This is how you do love hate relationships. Unlike Love Your Enemy, this did not feel forced. This show is honestly perfect when you add the comedy.

Only bad thing is I know the leads will end up together and the SFL gonna get done dirty; even though the SFL and ML are perfect matches. There can't be a romance K-drama without love triangles. They portray the SFL as such a nice character too.

In the first 10 minutes of the first episode the FL literally says verbatim she wants to take the ML's virginity because it's when he is most pure which is weird. He’s not making it up…the show and FL literally uses the words virgin and pure when she forces herself on the ML.

And I don't think people are upset with the FL sleeping around, but are upset with a loser ML who keeps waiting for 1 girl while she moves on with her life. If both leads were on level playing field, people wouldn't care. They go extra to make the ML look pathetic by giving him a fat suit. He’s literally supposed to be a fat loser virgin 😂 Such a weird premise. I really wanted to like the show but man the guy is too pathetic off rip. And then you get a huge time skip and he’s still obsessed with a girl that explicitly left him behind and moved on with her life. So weird. Would have been way better and watchable if the ML became somebody instead of staying a loser. Sure he has a nice career now but dude still stayed a loser. This is all displayed in the first episode which I skimmed through so I wouldn’t consider any of my comment a spoiler.

I had the same exact feeling. I was saving it for when it finished, but when I finally started it, I could not watch it. Maybe if I pick it up again later I will enjoy it but it was literally hard to watch.
