I could not get through this show. The whole show was just cringe to me.

I can see why a lot of people do not like the premise of this show, but if you don't take the show too seriously you will enjoy it. There is some melodrama that could get you upset, but the comedy and dynamic between and daughter getting a father is nice and unique that I think you will enjoy it.

The premise involves the FL leaving the ML high and dry for apparently no reason. Fast forward 10 years and the FL finds out she has terminal cancer and she wants to find a dad for her daughter to take care of her when she dies. People are upset about this because the ML was basically distraught for those 10 years, while the FL was living her best life with her daughter and now she wants to reintroduce herself into the ML's life only when she needs him. This kind of act shows how terrible a person the FL is, but like I said it is just a show; try not to take it too seriously. The saving grace is that the FL does feel bad about her actions and does feel regret, but what does that make up for the 10 years the ML felt like shit.

I really liked the first half of this show. It was so unique and interesting to me, but the 2nd half and end was not it.

It is a new story so we are unsure what part he plays in the story. If you noticed, the main character Nam Joo in the previous story had a minor role in the new story so who knows what Baek's role is.

It also looks like the main characters Haru and Dan Oh are extras in this new story which means they have more freedom and aren't as controlled by the writer.

You are completely right. She went full on with the other guy which is why the ending didn't make sense. Nothing happened that should have changed the way the FL feels about the SML that much, but all of a sudden she does not care one bit about him? She would rather raise the child alone than let the biological father be a part of the child's life? It made no sense. But from the start we all knew the leads would end up together. The ML had a complete transformation in his character while the FL remained the same. I honestly could have got over the cheating, but she really did nothing to deserve any redemption. At the beginning of episode 9 she still had the nerve to yell at the SFL even though the SFL was right and everything was her fault. I guess it was her remorse that made her not like the SML anymore? But cmon now...that's not gonna cut it for me.

I found the serendipity so funny lol. Especially for this random Japanese movie. And no arguing this time 😂 I actually like your take here.

I agree. Which was why it was weird she didn’t let the guy she cheated with be the father to the child. She said in the last episode “no this is my child” when he asked if the kid was his. She would rather raise the kid as a single mother than let the biological father be around. Terrible character.

I honestly did not hate the show too much because of the ML. Yeah, some may say he is a "simp" or "cuck", but his character really did a 180 and showcased how kind people can be. It would have been much better if the ML found someone else and the FL got with the guy she cheated with, but nope we know how these stories end. Although, it was disgusting that the ML thanked the guy who cheated with his wife for cheating...

The story would have been better if the FL did anything to deserve redemption but she remained the same person she was at the beginning of the story. The only change was how the ML treated her. Becoming a dad transformed the ML into a new person, while the FL remained the same bitter person. They tried to show her feeling guilty, but she did not act on it and her response was to run away. This show does glorify cheating in that, the wife cheated, lied, had someone else's baby and lied to her husband fooling him into thinking it was his and she received no punishment from it and she got a perfect happy ending. The FL's character was very selfish and self-centered to the end. She would rather be a single mother than allow the child to be raised by her biological father. If that was the case, why cheat with him in the first place? Why make your husband contemplate suicide for someone you never really cared about?

Everyone in the show gets their happy ending. The ML only gets a happy ending because he accepted the FL's cheating as his fault and took the blame for it. Now he has to spend the rest of his life fathering someone else's child which is what he wants I guess.

LOL. Just saw the tag "Villain Female Lead" which is absolutely hilarious.

Her character is terrible, but the actress is so beautiful. Cannot believe she is 40 IRL. She also acted in another show this year which was pretty good! Y'all should check it out. These are the only 2 japanese shows I've seen.

It's a comedy. If you were annoyed by that part, you probably won't like the show. The romance portion is not the greatest either. I am not a fan of love triangles either, but at least in this show, the FL does not show any interest in anyone except for the ML. Although, they do show a lot of scenes of the third wheel sad because the leads like each other which is annoying. Like it will show the leads having a moment, then cut to him being sad with sad background music.

I found the show amusing, but it wasn't anything amazing and was very predictable. Solid show, but if you have other shows you have not seen, you should prioritize those with your free time.

I really enjoyed this drama. The one gripe I had with it was the villain, JJ. They really try and make you feel sorry for the guy but I think I can say for everyone we aren’t biting. He does some despicable things for psychotic reasons and he did not deserve redemption. The entire show is him being a villain then right at the end they try and redeem him. Cmon now. They spend the whole show making him this terrible guy due to his inferiority complex and want us to feel bad for him? Boohoo, his rich family abandoned him because he’s a loser. Maybe if he wasn’t obsessed hating someone who considered him a friend and focused on his business he wouldn’t have any issues. His GF who he supposedly loved was talented and he could have made her a success but nope. He wanted her to stay a failure like him so he deliberately sabotaged her career. Other than that I really liked the show.

This drama is very good. I enjoyed it so much that as I was finishing, I was sad for wanting more. I have seen all the good dramas so I was happy to find one that slipped under the radar.

Nothing to complain about. Just a great drama. I feel like the lower rating is due to some of the melodrama that is going on but you can't fault these dramas for that. There needs to be some sort of antagonist/opposition going on. It can't just be roses and sunshine the whole time. I loved the show from beginning to end. It has a great start and the story progresses very smoothly IMO.

I could not get into this show and had to skim through it. I did not like how the premise of the show is the FL's fiance dying and his heart ending up with the ML. It's kind of messed up her fiance just died and now dudes are all over her. This is not a spoiler either because it is in the summary of the plot.

Edit: Finished the show and it was ok. Definitely a lot of melodrama just for the sake of melodrama. But I enjoyed the show in the end just because bad guy takes a L. That being said, no way I could have watched it without skimming.

Ok I am officially dropping this at episode 6. I googled spoilers and I am disgusted that the ML ends up with the FL in the end after what she did. She belongs to the streets.

The show itself makes no sense. The entire goal of the FL was to get to the bottom of her sister's death, but once everything is revealed there is virtually no impact. My god I hate that I even put this weird ass plot in my head.

The FL ended up sleeping with the SML in episode 5. Some may say the SML forced himself on her, but I do not see it that way. They were at the bar when he kissed her and she did try and turn away from the kiss, but she did not leave. She ended up taking him to his hotel room and after he gifted her a necklace she accepted his feelings and they had sex. He was drunk, she was not. This is not the bad part.

The terrible part is the SML is getting married to the ML's sister and the FL knew this so she is a homewrecker. This is on top of her annoying, won't take no for an answer and leave people alone attitude.

Edit: Dropped it and spoiled myself and I am disgusted by this show. The SML was partly responsible for the FL's sisters death and everyone just acts like the FL and SML did not have a one night stand. People say the SML raped the FL but this is not true. She accepted his feelings and they had sex. This is evident as she tries to pursue him afterwards and never once blames him for what happened.
