I do like bai lu too, but i feel that her choice of role and pairings since The Legend and AMA is abit off. Like even her latest project with Allen ren in some romantic novel called "forever and ever", that guy is all about the fake or angled kiss while she clearly is not. Got to question such pairings and project. Just another wasted script.

Thats the thing for me too, it seems all these scripts are still going to such A tier actors/actress but they have aged and is just not suitable for such roles anymore. Those dramas you listed, I have dropped as well.

For me I can watch dramas not only in chinese, so there's too many options in the international market. I guess we are spoilt for choice in the era of internet TV. But the important element for me in a drama, is the hook, the cast, the cinematography, plot and visuals. Else its just time spent and its gone.

We both definitely agree on the age being a factor, i just find it a waste that still such scripts are still going to such aged actress and expecting them to pull off the teenager vibe. I am not a hater of any actor or actress, I am just a lover of good drama and visuals.

As long as the cast , cinematography, script and plot is good, I will watch it. But it seems alot of dramas just miss the hook or lacks wow factor.

Based on his cheerful and carefree character, he should heal very quickly after some eye drop tears. Dont worry he still got an arranged marriage.

Like play a ceo of a company even, just play their age or close or an accomplished woman. These older actress still looks good and charming but if they keep picking roles to play teenagers, i am just not going to watch it because my eyes can buy it.

Even at the start when these 2 FL plays school kids and teenagers, it was hard to digest and they looked out of their elements.

Same for legend of fei zanilia zhao as a teenager role also didnt fit in completely.

I always prefer actress to act or play roles thats their age or close. Its just too cringe to watch old actress plays teenagers or school girls, just wrong visual. Etc that new series by zhang zi yi where she plays a teenage princess. Please gimme a break.....

The wolf is another series that i dropped, i just hate the cinematography for that drama. Looks squarish and i am lucky i didnt invested time in it after reading the recaps and the ending lol.

But in this series they are making suo suo out to be an uncle lover. Since she likes that driver from the start, its not surprising that she starts to fall for ye jin yan in episode 28.

NS still ends up with WYZ, that Li Yi Fan is just a side temptation for dramatic effect i guess. At least this series is better than dear missy, no one died there and everyone is happily coupled up, watching paint dry.

Shockwave 2 right? I used to be a fan of andy lau but really guy is old now, should know when to stop. Havent seen any award winning films from having casted him lately. So i havent bother. I have seen shockwave part 1 thou. Its just so so, however jackie chan's 2020 movie vanguard is decent.

As with episode 28, this drama even makes her consciously falls for the old guy for some reason. So thats where we are heading.

Suo suo character is just not constant i feel for this drama. When she ends up with driver which pretended to be rich but wont be with the AC prince is a strange plot change and seems out of character without reason.

Likewise nan sun was fiercely loyal to her ex boyfriend but wont even be honest with her current bf that is so loving to her.

Yup its a loose adaption but in this drama i recalled chinese posted spoilers and trailers that she will end up with the old guy and have a kid too if my memory serves me right.

I meant the fights, its always just 1 punch or 1 kick or 1 skill and the enemy just drops to the ground. Its not even in relation to the actual cgi skills that is being used in the series. So its just cheap shots.

Which means its fantasy right? But after episode 2 theres nothing fantastic about this series. Not the cgi skills, not the fights, not the editing, not even the lore. Even in fantasy there needs to be build up on the various fractions, the lay of the land, the levels of skills, the various elements even.

Its like watching soul land suddenly in episode 100 and not understanding the various levels etc. So no fantasy world can be given the excuse of not first building the lore and then expect the viewers to understand the world.

I can see why. But its not going to happen 100%.

This is an adaptation of sorts from a hk movie, so theres bits and pieces of hints from that as well as this drama's trailer etc. This is a well known spoiler.

Actually i tried that as well and dropped it too. Its just disappointing that the costume and sets looks so cheap in that drama.

I wont even get started on the editing or camera angle/ focus for that drama, just not clean.

I had wanted it to do well too but also zanillia zhao looks out of place playing a younger role and seem to have lost alot of weight.
