Slice of life type of drama is exactly that, boring at least for me.

Its better to watch reality tv for such slice of life experience. For dramas, I want something to happen in every episode considering that for some episodes the time spent is as long as a movie.

But to each its own, I have no issues with viewer's choice of what they watch. English as a language can also mean different things in different culture settings. However I am entitled to feel slice of life dramas = paint drying or water boiling or in other words boring.

edit: Trust me, I also dont like to get involved in this kind of thread, but the clear bias and support is clear from its fan base of this drama. A mere simple opposition view of this drama would just stir up a hornet nest.

I feel that for a school drama at least "Always Have, Always Will" cast is "fresher" or rather more suiting in a school environment.

The children cannot get visas back to china because they are surrogates, this a loophole in china, as surrogacy is illegal.

So for this couple to have gone to the US and planned to do this without consideration of the visa and legality issues, then abandoning the kids is badly frown upon, even prada has canceled her contract because of this.

Chemistry is average between ML and FL.

But plot is considered unique and is at least of this era, since FL is so bold and looks adorable. Early episodes does not explain why ML does not remember FL.

Its a decent filler watch with its colorful sets.

the opening is titled 醉清欢 / Zui qing huan and closing can be 风花 /Feng hua or 花信 /hua xin or 心心念念 /xin xin nian nian. my preference leans towards 风花 /Feng hua that is sung by ML and FL.

You can be bias or as dimensional as you choose and procced to whine or cry about how there are opposite opinions but it wont change anything.

Its just a drama, don't be a frog in a well with your obsession , there are many other dramas to watch in the age of internet tv.

10 episodes in and its an easy to watch ancient costume drama. Nice chemistry for ML and FL, love the FL costumes, the sets and cinematography looks top notched too. Some very unique sets like an ice skating rink. This is a series that is hard to take your eyes away from all the historical visuals. Even the OST is good for this series.

However FL personality and character seems confusing. Like sometimes she can be so direct and clear with her feelings with some guys, while with some other guy's proposals she will just "loosely" accept it unconditionally.

Also for 2ML shi jin, FL always seems to generate confusing signals and touches /"skinship". I guess its intentional for drama effect but such confusion makes the romance with ML complicated to sell to audiences.

In terms of chemistry in a side by side comparison there is higher chemistry, ship ability and cp in "when we write a love story" for neo huo and chao yue. This has been a talking point since the variety show is also airing.

When you choose to just leave insults and 1 liners, you need to grow up and self reflect on your life choices.

Some likes to watch paint dry or water boil, its just a choice. There are no right or wrong since we are just viewers and watch what we want. For viewers choice in the current era of internet tv, this would not be a drama that is high on my list.

However for actors and actress, taking upon any projects are at least important career decisions. I dont think FL be winning the same awards as her last project, with this choice.

From winning best couple and actress in rookie historian with cha eun woo to this series, i can understand the disappointment with shin se kyung's choice of project. This drama just lacks hook for me, much better drama series being aired during this period.
