her last scene w/ manman still brings me to tears. the way she cradles her and said that she'll fix everything and manman will be fine. she portrayed the desperation, disbelief, and grief all so vividly. also the scene when she wakes up after jiejie's death and her dad was there. I loved how she was showing evident stages of grief but was also trying to console her father (wiping his tears as if saying silly why are you crying, she's not dead— denial stage of grief). the details she puts in are so amazing and really allows us to feel every single emotion the character is feeling as if it is a loss of our own!!!

LLD kills it in the emotional department. I've shed tears for consecutive days now bc of her performance. I also particularly love these 2 episodes bc we finally get to see YQ back at the forefront of the story. CXX really portrayed YQ so well.. He's definitely mastered how to deliver the biggest impact with the utmost subtlety and I love that he doesn't act in a way that "steals" the scene but rather adds to it if that makes sense. so so excited to see his future works. I hope he gets casted in something as intricate as NIF. (haven't seen GMP in full as I'm a bit adversed to BE but the many clips I've seen of him in it have been *chefs kiss*. too bad his character was an anti-hero so I can see why the character might not have garnered mass support)

In one of their interviews LLD said that it’ll be a HE. I hope she’s not trolling or it was a mistranslation.

Heartbreak has arrived 😭 now that I've been spoiled on a few things for upcoming episodes I just hope YT's revenge plot is an epic one. I've also been missing seeing CXX's fighting scenes and YQ as his epic 1st self. Aside from the future sword dance, I hope we get a few scenes of YT and YQ fighting alongside one another

If you haven't seen anything at all, it's prob not a bad idea to start now. By the time you catch up the rest of the episodes should be out and you won't be spoiled for the ending (whether it's HE or BE). Come marinate in anxiety with the rest of us 😆

As much as I loved YY in You are my glory, I couldn't finish who rules the world bc the acting was pretty stiff on his part (personal opinion). I also loved Wu Lei and LLTG but I can't see him being able to pull off the various versions of empyrean. Granted, I'd love to see him try tho and prove me wrong! I thought LLTG was a breakthrough in his acting so definitely looking forward to his future works :)

I agree. I personally haven't seen CXX in anything else so I wasn't sure what to expect with this drama. Plus his visual admittedly wasn't for me at first but he really wowed me as all versions of the empyrean. I cannot see anyone own this role as much as he has and he has an aura that makes him more lovable the longer you watch him!

I'm just dying for the rest of the show and I hope the angst doesn't take us to the end. I want to experience YQ and YT in their happily married life with absolutely nothing in the way. YT finally achieving happiness and feeling loved made me tear up. Please give us a happy ending 😭

What a fun and wild ride. It's not a show to be taken seriously and I love that the show itself knows that it's comedy and runs with it. The chemistry was amazing and they're unexpectedly an adorable pairing. give it a chance if you're into something light and funny with just the right amount of cheese!

Still thinking of this drama since I finished watching it. What an absolute breath of fresh air and I’m so happy I started 2023 with it. I do want to preface that this drama may not be a good fit for everyone depending on what you’re looking for. If you want a fast-paced drama filled storyline, this is not it. This is more of a slice of life, introspective drama. In exchange for the lack of dramatic plot (but by no means makes this drama boring), you’re given a realistic and relatable set of characters all going through their own struggles in adulthood who finds community and support through each other. The dialogues are beautifully written yet doesn’t try so hard to be so poetic that you feel like they’re drama dialogues. It’s truly as if you’re watching real interactions between real people. If you’re looking for a healing drama that helps you navigate some of the struggles you might also be dealing with in your personal life, give this one a chance — you won’t regret it !!

I was thinking the same thing! And I’ve seen them in other minor roles so I was surprised at how similar they looked at times. Similar vibe too

My personal favorite is With You. I pretty much watched it in the order the dramas came out so With You (2016) → My Huckleberry Friends (2017) → Unrequited love (2019 ver). Then you branch out to the other adaptations if you want to watch them. I personally think the original 3 were the best

no order! they’re all separate stories take place in the same universe. some characters might be introduced in one story but you won’t be missing anything. they’re more like easter eggs
