hey everyone I'm seeing this show is getting a lot of good responses/reviews but I'm just watching the second…
So the show apparently went through a lot of edits to air bc of China’s censorship laws which made the aspects of the game itself pretty irrelevant. I’d say disregard the concept of the game when watching it since it was out of their control but watch it for the awesome chemistry between the cast :)
Tbh I wouldn’t mind if he ends up with Jimin since Pu reum keeps breaking his little heart. And it’s cute…
Yea I wouldn’t mind if he does end up with Pu Reum since the end of s3 got me really excited for their love line. But she’s been rejecting him left and right since the beginning of this season. Jimin seems like a decent character (as of right now) which is why I don’t mind if she ends up with Hanel. Best case scenario for them to maintain a good friendship is for them to either get together and stay together or each find their own separate partners. I just don’t want PR to realize her feelings right when he’s ready to move on or has just moved on. That wouldn’t be right :/
IF PU REUM AND HA NEUL & JAE IN AND YOON DOESN'T END UP TOGETHER, I WILL HAVE A LOT TO SAY!!! >:/
Tbh I wouldn’t mind if he ends up with Jimin since Pu reum keeps breaking his little heart. And it’s cute how she’s been looking everywhere for him (Jimin)! But Jae in and Yoon <3 the reason why I couldn’t enjoy s3 that much was bc they broke up.
Well, there is no story to begin with. its your usual cohabitation nonsense. Still, writer could have put some…
I think there's a clear distinction between Fu Pei and Gu Wei Yi in terms of personality and actions. Fu Pei from the beginning is immature and really only thought about himself. It's fine if he had reserves about getting into a serious relationship or wants to keep it as strictly platonic friendship but he should have been upfront with Mo Mo from the start and let her make that decision (and not ask her out and say let's get together once we graduate hs). He strings her along by giving her false hope to keep her by his side without really having any intentions of being committed.
Gu Wei Yi on the other hand does have his immaturity but I think it's very warranted. He's an introvert and usually fly solo so he's not very good at expressing himself to others. Plus this is the very first time he has ever truly liked anyone so he's learning how to navigate his emotions and handling things like jealousy. In terms of love, he's still very much a boy which is great because that leaves room for growth. Imo he has already grown so much through the short time that they've been together too. He listens to her and is extremely attentive and tries his absolute best for her -- everything Fu Pei should've done if he actually wanted to be with MoMo. I think the biggest difference is Fu Pei is all talk vs. Gu Wei Yi actually acts on it.
I can get why this show is not for everyone tho. It's a lot of fluff and very slice of life. You're watching ordinary days of 2 people who are falling in love. A freaking recipe for fluff and cuteness but I think you've been forewarned by all the comments on this page. Yes I do agree that the plot is meandering a bit but honestly the chemistry of the leads and how cute they are together made up for it for me at least. I think if it's not for you, it's okay to drop it :) i've dropped plenty of dramas that weren't for me but went on to become cult favorites hahas.
Is anyone planning on subbing more episodes than what the official channel is releasing per week? o: so sad that there are 8 eps out but only 4 subbed );
What a shame they made a movie instead of a drama, this had the potential to be one of the best drama adaptation.…
I agree, I wish they made this movie a little longer or maybe make 2 parts to fully flesh the story + characters out. I was actually pleasantly surprised at the chemistry between the main leads and was left wanting more. What docked the score down for me was how rushed the entire movie felt
Honestly didn't think I would enjoy this drama at all even though I was a huge sunny + grim reaper fan. Decided to start it as a filler drama 3 weeks into the run thinking I wouldn't be too addicted -- yea no I'm totally wrong. Each episode just made me love the leads even more and now it's getting into ultimate cute zone that I'm dying for the next episode. OYS's character would have probably been an annoying af character if given to a different actress but Yoo In Na just makes the character absolutely lovable and you can relate with her heart fluttering moments. KJR may seem like the coldhearted lawyer but he's such a huge softie and a cutie. They didn't make him into a stuck up character which i appreciated, just a focused, oblivious cutie <3
This might be the first drama that I've had a true episode of second lead syndrome. I love the main cast and they all have great chemistry together but I'm not a huge fan of the way the story and character relationships are playing out on screen. Haruto and Oto are really cute together and they bicker like great friends/siblings but it's way more convincing to say that Tenma and Oto have deeper feelings for each other. It also doesn't help that Hana has better chemistry with Taishi so it's unfortunate that they aren't the main leads ):
It's an open ending but hinted that it'll be a happy ending. And yes there is romance but the main characters are still in high school so nothing is physical (i.e. kissing, holding hands), at least in their hs days. However, their relationship is very sweet and the feelings are obvious ++ the famous head pats!
What kind of drama is this? Romance? Cute? Sweet? Heartbreaking? I am happy with the slice of life genre as long…
Literally everything you listed above will apply to this drama. The ending is open ended but imo it was happy ending b/c their intentions were very obvious (that they'll end up together). i highly highly recommend this drama, it will stay on your mind for days after. very worth the investment in time :)
Best Couple: Bai Yu and Bu Guan Jin (Zhang Yuan and He Luo in Suddenly this summer) Best Couple: Bai Yu and Zhu Yi Long (Zhang Yun Lan and Shen Wei in Guardian)
Hi again! And once again I agree with what you said. I also think one of the reasons for the low rating for this…
Wait so they're making TWO dramas from the same source? That's a bit odd... but also i'm not sure if HYT can handle a character that is not stoic like Jiangchen. His last scandal really paled his image in my eyes so it'll be really hard to stan anything he's in down the road but I'll probably still check it out to see if it's any good. Hbu- are you planning on watching his production or the one that's projected to come out in a few months?
Just curious but why does fifteen years to wait for migratory birds have such divided opinions on it? I might check it out but atm I don't have the heart to start something with the possibility of it having a sad ending hahas. I've also been debating on starting Where the lost ones go. But i'm still on the Suddenly this summer high atm and just want to see watch everything Bai Yu.
I saw the first 2 episodes of When We Were Young and I was already getting major second lead syndrome since I'm such a sucker for childhood friends and I tend to ship them together. But let me know if you end up liking WWWY!
Really appreciate all the suggestions! will definitely be adding them to my list~

Hey Jay! Good to see your comment again :) Yea I think this ending is definitely happier and more concrete than With you’s. And I loved how natural and realistic this relationship was (Bu Guan Jin is so freaking natural on screen it’s like she’s not even acting). Someone mentioned that there might be a movie to finish off the story since there’s a second book. Have you heard anything about it? I’m currently obsessed with Bai Yu after this dramas ;)
