Yup… and he acts like he’s just trying to get to the truth but his tone was accusatory and distrustful. Like why ask if you’re gonna just jump to conclusions 🥴 Side note: truly no one beats our Zhang wansen 🥺 I miss him

I definitely see where you're coming from and in reality we won't know for certain how we'll each make these same decisions. I'm not blaming MH and this is more a critique for the writer(s) bc I personally think they butchered a lot of the plot points and maybe with better writing some of her actions can be better understood by the audience. But when multiple things are written/developed poorly I think general audiences can be more critical of certain aspects. Personally I thought that with a sick child, she would be more inclined to get them in touch sooner bc there's a possibility that QQ might not survive his heart condition or the surgery. They really deserve the chance to know of each other's existence before it's too late. Esp when XQ never wronged her to start with. Like if he made a terrible mistake towards her and she thinks it was better off for QQ to never know him so he won't have the opportunity to be disappointed then that direction would've made more sense imo.

He can tell her to abort QQ all he wants but at the end of the day it's her body and if she decides to keep the baby or not is ultimately her choice. I think he still has the right to know that he has a child that he's responsible for regardless of whether or not he takes up that responsibility. I can understand not telling him right away given how tense their relationship was at breakup but he still deserves to know. Plus QQ deserves to have a chance to meet his biological father. I think the circumstances are very different if the parent willingly gave the child up vs not even knowing of their existence
However, I think her reaction to the custody lawsuit was a rightful reaction. They also wrote that plot point so annoyingly frustrating like she gave him the time to explain and he was "lost for words" when the it mattered was really dumb af writing.
As much as I like the leads and the kid, this story is full of cliches that aren’t even done right. Side characters and their relationships are so boring. I’d just rather they give us more family fluff with the leads than waste time on their stuff. Sigh I’ll prob continue to scrub through this until the end but it just amazes me at how this type of bad scripts still gets produced every year ??

Also since douban ratings are more critical, if a drama manage to get 7.0 and up, it's considered pretty decent. 8.0+ are typically given to dramas that have been widely recognized as really good and 9.0+ are almost nonexistent and they have to be near perfection.
she's another one I sorta wanted to see with CXX. She's not as good as Landy esp with expressions but I like her.…
I would also love to see CXX with Bai Lu. Might be the most exciting pair for me if it ever gets announced (aside from NiuDi reunion of course. they'll aways be #1)
Idk about Dilireba. Shes beautiful and is an okay actress imo but I always feel shes not that expressive. Other…
I think dilireba is not the strongest actress out there but I think she's been improving. She has a certain draw to her and works really hard which makes me fond of her. I think a part of it is she hasn't picked up that many quality scripts. Loved her in TMOPB and YAMG but haven't really found attachment to any of her other roles (including ELoD). I'd actually be excited to see her pair with CXX and hope they meet with a good script!
But a lot of high profile/traffic stars aren't actually the best in terms of skills. I was once obsessed with WYB and XZ after The Untamed but couldn't continue to stay drawn to them bc of the lackluster performances in projects that came after.
So happy to see the number of viewers almost hitting 11K and still fresh comments of people who are going through the show for the first time !! I hope you guys have been enjoying it as much as the rest of us had
