Title La Pluie
First, if Tai was begged or forced to help Patts, okay, but he wasn't. He started it, he built up the heat, and…
When Tai put on the brakes, I immediately thought "well, he could at least give him a hand-job" and I nearly had a heart attack when he went even further than that, which is a major miracle by BL standards. I'm not sure why he's ready for that but not sex - if he's not comfortable with it, he could top - although BL treats ukes and semes like totally different sexes so that would never happen.

What is ViAn?
I actually dropped it once they introduced the evil female trope AGAIN.

let's be honest here Thana craves intimacy and Patis is not giving it to him, instead of cheating communication…
What cheating? Time isn't human, so I doubt anything will happen there and there's no romantic energy between them. Time tries to guide Thana in constructive directions.

Give it to me straight: I watched episode 1 and it was a waste of an hour+ of my life, so I've been dragging my…
I had the same reaction to Ep 1 and continued because of what Thana looks like with his shirt off. It does get considerably better, and Ep 3 is quite good and doesn't waste time - a lot happens. Ep 2 is better than 1, but it takes off in Ep 3.

Dome looks amazing. Where did you see the ep 4 preview?

I actually like this series. I actually paid more attention to it this episode than the other 2. This is about…
It's definitely grown on me and I thought Ep 3 was quite good. Everyone pooh-poohs the main couple, but I think they're interesting and actually dealing with problems that are organic to their characters and not ridiculous external drama like implausibly misunderstanding a hug.

For me so far, Episode 3 was the most watchable. The stories of both couples advanced without wasting much time.…
I think Time is the opposite of the cafe lady - despite looking young, he always tries to point Thana in a constructive direction. I think it's an Angel/Devil situation.

I'm not sure about Pie - I thought he was another supernatural being until he made that phone call. Dome has grown up nicely - he's gorgeous now.

Guys, how tall is the actor who plays Thana?? Man filled the door frame of their apartment giving 'give me a big…
I'd guess about 6'3" or 190 cm.

Dang! Gun's acting is as soggy as those overcooked veggies they had for breakfast. The toxic, angry sex is awful…
Sex can be a little rough without being toxic. Most people don't just have over-romanticized sex like in BLs. If Thana were my boyfriend I wouldn't mind him being aggressive.

the magical bakery aspect of the show is not needed and to be honest.. I skip through the lead couple storyline…
The magical bakery is the center of the story, so even if you're skipping the lead couple, the secondary couple will be drawn into that aspect of the story, and it's acutally gotten more interesting with the intro of Dome's character, and the kid Thana hangs out with, who is obviously a supernatural entity.

What's wrong with the main couple? I've never liked Gun but I think their story is quite good.

I think the biggest mistake of the show is the choppy flashy editing whenever something happens between two characters.…
Can you give me an example? I'm not sure what you mean. I thought the editing for this ep was fine. Are you watching the cut version? Maybe that's choppier.

Thana was smoking pot, not tobacco, right? Why is Patis so bent out of shape when he himself has gotten messy drunk? That's actually considerably more dangerous.

I would kick a puppy for 5 minutes with Thana. That scene in bed...

I have to admit Gun has improved since Golden Blood. The crying scene wasn't perfect, but it wasn't embarassing, either, and until Thana left the room it was really good and not exaggerated.

So other than the cafe owner, who is supernatural? Pie (Dome) can somehow always find the cafe, so probably him - and he's not afraid of the cafe owner nor is he frightened when she gets angry and the lights flicker.

I think Time is too - the cafe owner seems to be the devil, and I think Time's name isn't a coincidence. He's probably the person who will save the day. Although he's kind of rough, he always points Thana in a constructive direction - tell the truth, take charge of your life and find a job, etc.

I didn't like this series when it started, but it's grown on me. I wish the cafe owner's character was a tad more subtle, but she's less irritating in smaller doses, and she's more interesting when thrown off balance by Pie.

the series confuses me a bit. Patis doesn't seem to want to be intimate and every time he does it with Thana he…
There's nothing wrong with consensual rough sex - sometimes it's nice to have a big muscular guy do what he wants to you. That fight they had seemed a lot like role playing - either that or they're having some sort of power struggle.

So I have to say Gun has definitely been working on his facial expressions more. He`s doing much better, less…
As a person who has thought Gun ruins everything he's in (except comedy), I have to agree with you - he's much better in this. Maybe it's the directing.

How can chemistry be one way? It’s either there or not.
Yes it is. You are very rude, but I've noticed all Krist fans are brittle, so I forgive you.

The role of Pisaeng is really well-written and acted. It's unusual and special,
I love that he's rich and beautiful but also lonely and depressive. It seems clear from Pear's concern that she's seen him in very dark places in the past. I hope they treat depression with realism and sensitivity - I think that will make him relatable and a really memorable character.

Also, I hope he takes a shower or goes swimming, because that body needs to be shared.

100% agree, although I also really like Lomfon and think Copter is a very strong actor. Suar has a lot of charisma,…
I completely agree. The love scene was well-done, but overall I find their story dull and shallow. It's sort of a version of telling and not showing. We're constantly hit over the head with how they're soulmates, but we never really see what makes them suitable, other than that they're both good-looking, which is enough for a good 2 weeks of nonstop bedroom activity, but it's clear they haven't been doing that if they haven't even been alone together for a month. Other than staring at each other 25/7, I feel no heat. Even though the love scene was good and the actors weren't afraid of getting physical, because there's no heat between them, it wasn't an exciting culmination to 7 episodes of tension.

Lomfon & Tian feel more organic - they have more in common and they interact like people instead of a man and his porcelain doll.

I don't get Lomfon at all. He doesn't believe in soulmates but consider someone he never saw his first love. He…
The soulmate thing is random, whereas in Lomfon's case, someone saved his life, which is substantial and has a rational basis. Lomfon didn't really notice Tian in that way because he's been fixated on Tai - now that prospect has been crushed, and so he's more open to something else - and I think he was stricken by Tian's protectiveness and loyalty, plus he IS incredibly cute. And they have a lot in common.

I thought the love scene was really good, but otherwise I find Tai and Patts a real bore - we keep being told they're soulmates, but we're never really shown why they're right for each other, other than how they look shirtless and grinding, which I'll admit is no small thing.

It's 1,000% predictable that Nara just grabbed Patts and kissed him, and Patts will push her away 0.000001 seconds too late to avoid a 10,000% predictable implausible misunderstand-based plot because the author has 0% imagination and picked the laziest route conceivable to continue to not move the story forward.

Sorry, that was a bit of a rant, but it pissed me off.

Title La Pluie
That was awful. I don't know how else to characterize is. First of all, the "uke hates sex" trope is really, really old and starting to feel homophobic. Patts and Tai's relationship is already shallow and very greeting-card, so how to improve it? Throw in a meddling ex-gf. Sigh. And of course have Tai show up at just the right moment to misunderstand - the weakest, stupidest plot device possible, which just confirms this is terribly written.

On the positive side, when Tai brought the well-done intimate scene to a screeching halt, again, I was thinking "you could at least give him a hand-job", and he upped that to the next level, which was a minor miracle in BL terms.

This is too slow and the relationship between Tai & Patts too insubstantial. We're told they're soulmates - never shown - unless you count endless staring. Why do they like each other, other than how they look, which is admittedly not a minor impetus? What do they have in common? How have they not been together for an entire month? Has anyone ever been in a new relationship? A month would be excruciating torture and dangerous to your emotional health.

Lomfon & Tien, however, are wonderful. What draws them together is much more organic, and the symbolism of the camera is quite well-done, although I'm assuming totally accidental given how weak the rest of the writing is.

I think it harkens to my theory, which is that secondary couples are often, or usually, more compelling because they're free to develop outside the "schtick" of the series, like soul-mates who can hear each other in the rain.
