Chot is a pleasure to watch. OTT characters can be cringe but he's pulling it off so well because he can actually…
I think Bruce is one of the strongest actors in BL - like in the top 3 or so. He saved Lovely Writer for me. I think Up is good too, but his character was terribly written and he was paired with a fencepost. An attractive fencepost, but still a fencepost. Well, actually how Ken looks in knit shirts (or without one) also helped me stay interested.
But anyway, Bruce was stunning as a character that could have been a 2D villain played by a lesser actor but that he made sympathetic.
Actually, it makes perfect sense for Lomfon to fight for Tai’s attention. Lomfon doesn’t believe in the idea…
It's becoming less common as societal attitudes change, but a huge number of gay men got married and had children in homophobic societies. I new a guy that came out at 55 after having 3 children - he and his wife decided to remain married and live together.
The whole point and importance of coming out or pride parades is so that we don't remain hiddne to society and ourselves. In a pre-internet era, I had no idea what gay was (until our priest showed me, but that's another story) - it wasn't until college when I could really be myself.
Maybe the story of Tai's parents is just a throw-away plot device and it will never have much impact on the story. That would be a pity - Tai & Patts' story is already very boring to me - but I think Tai is so hot that I don't mind yet.
That was quite well-written and respected the audience - there was a lot of subtle interplay with people noticing things happening without having to say it out loud like most BL adaptations from books. That's what you can do when you have a talented cast - but...
The crying scene added new meaning to the word "cringe". Ben is really cute, but that was not the best acting I've ever seen. Man is really carrying this pairing, and his character is really compelling and complex. Even Saint was pretty good this ep. Pat's character is already immature, and his acting just magifies this, and it makes him hard to like. Contrast that with Chot, who is OTT, but professional and controlled when he needs to be.

Again, he hasn't done that yet. He's basically just been told "I have a boyfriend". What he does next is what he should be judged on, not his behavior without knowing that Tai was taken.

Lomfon didn't know Tai had a soulmate or a boyfriend, and Tai didn't tell him before, so isn't it Tai that's the asshole? It's clear Lomfon was interested, and he should have told him he's not available.
I don't think it's defensible to call him an asshole - he can certainly still be one if he keeps going after Tai, but so far he's done absolutely nothing wrong. Even his pursuit of Tai has been respectful and non-intrusive.

I think that situation will be much more complicated - note that Tai's mother is remarried and his father isn't - so did she have another man on the side? Or maybe Tai's father doesn't like women. I doubt it's as simple as him cheating.
Some people are being so rude about the stopped sex scene.. I’m pushing 30 and I like to take it slow too, and…
It's actually not rude to express an opinion. It is rude to personally attack someone for expressing an opinion. The first is a mild critique of a piece of light entertainment, and the other is an attack on an actual human being - but I know a lot of people can't distinguish between an opinion opinion contrary to their own and a personal attack, and so they launch a personal attack.
Unpopular opinion, I guess, but whenever Pee does this gentle smile (so... always), he looks like he is faking…
I've been thinking that, but didn't say it because I thought everyone would lunge at me murderously, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets serial killer vibes. I hope Tai doesn't ever look in his freezer.
I actually think Copter is the best actor in this by a wide margin. It's hard to play a character like that and make him compelling, but he's pulled it off.
I liked the 2nd ep more than the first - mostly because there was less comically evil cafe owner. And I really like Bhu as Mai, and that couple is quite engaging. Thana's bf doesn't understand him at all - that seems like a doomed relationship, although it's BL so it will all work out. I suspect there's something dark going on with pot boy - that isn't going to end well.
I thought the pacing of the scenes was better, especially in the 2nd half of the episode, where I wasn't tempted to ff through anything.
I feel like the cafe should have been more subtlely mysterious rather than hitting us over the head with it. And I wonder what the deal is with Dome's character - I suspect he's something supernatural.
