There is nothing wrong with his looks anyway. I think he is a cutie.
Like War (Mark) in Love Mechanics or Peterpan (Phanu) in Oh! My Sunshine Night. Although in the latter case it just wasn't worth it to sit through that torture. I'm with you - I'm a little tired of totally useless Victorian consumptive virgin ukes.
Which episode had an almost naked Gawin? I... want to check this drama.
It's a fantasy sequence where he emerges like Boticelli's Venus. It's in an early episode - I can't remember which, and I'm not rewatching this travesty. :)
While it's still awful, the uncut version is considerably better - it explains all the relationships way more and makes a lot more sense. I thought it would be racier, but it's not really.

I think he does that sweet cuteness well and with consistency. Maybe it's also the bad hair they gave him. The tattoos do make him look a little older and add a touch of masculinity that a lot of people don't like to see in their ukes.
You're right, but it's not like Blueming was being original - that's a classic scene construction that you can…
Blueming was a missed opportunity. If they'd made it a comedy like it was supposed to be, it would have been a lot of fun. I don't know why they keep adapting comedies as dramas.
They did it with Love Stage, too. In the original the uke us totally useless - for example his artwork just looked like a 5-year old with crayons drew it, and only the seme found it amazing because he was so besotted. Also, the brother relationship was a bit more questionable, in a somehow funny rather than disturbing way (it was totally desexualized).
Did they let Hiro and Jericho write and direct their own parts? Because it feels like a completely different series - and a much better one.
The problem with Xion Lim productions is that he has no control over self-indulgence. How could anyone believe anyone gives one flying f@#$ about that stupid dog? Or Miss Becky, or any of the other grotesque stereotypes that manage to be offensive, annoying, and boring all at once without any real camp? A real drag queen should have a streak of malice and fabulousness to her, not just screech constantly.
I can't even watch Win & Sky - that actress who plays their boss is so incapable that it's embarassing, there's zero chemistry between the main pair, and their kiss was even fake. Teejay obviously would like to be anywhere but in this disaster, and Miko, who at least has always had charm in his past roles, doesn't here.
Contrast that with Zeke and Fifth whose scene was so scorching hot, not to mention beautifully written, that it's impossible to believe they're in the same show - only the completely incompetent lighting gave away who the director was. The way they touch each other, lean into each other, and interact feels real, like they're really into each other. It's like a more sexual version of Fourth & Gemini.
This show is a 9 for Zeke and Fifth and a 1 for everthing else. Unfortunately everything else is most of the runtime.
That was tedious. I actually thought I was rewatching last episode and looked for Ep 4 - way, way too much flashback. Also, why would Saengtai hear kissing noises (actually eating noises) from Phat? Don't they just hear each other's thoughts?
The enemies to lovers of the secondary couple takes it too far - they're just unpleasant. I really liked the first two episodes, but this last one knocked off a few points for me.
