You can tell this was written by a woman with a blow job treated like something huge and a big sacrifice - if a guy said "you'll be my first blow job" I would burst out laughing.

I like Lee Long Shi mostly for his body, but that smile this ep was killer! I've never seen him do that. But why is Day acting like cake is natto? I can see not having a taste for sweets, but finding it disgusting?

I'm never OK with violence, but if there's a situation where just about anyone would just lose it, that was it. Can you imagine what that felt like to Day? What a manipulative asshole Itt is - doing that and then making Sun feel guilty. He should hit him again on the other side so his cat makeup is complete.

Why does Frank have a perpetual bed head in this series? The bad haircut that Drake gave him in 'you're my boy'…
That is the worst wig since Ja's in Until We Meet Again. They could have just done it with his military cut.

It's Asian BL writers, because the author of "Addicted" posited that you'd get diarrhea from wearing damp underwear,…
You can do that in erotica and I have no objection - many or most people fantasize about really twisted things - but when you're doing a serious drama, then no. I think sometimes the bar for rape is set a bit low by BL audiences - e.g. a guy being persistent and another giving in to what he wants anyway is not the same as force or coersion from a position of power being applied against an unwilling person - but especially in dramas aimed at early teens like these, it's a bit irresponsible to have someone fall in love with their rapist. That's very 19th c.

Yes, I've tried to read a BL novel and I didn't get far. In the series, the abduction was played for comedy and was actually quite funny - from what you're saying it was a lot darker in the novel.

Were they more typical useless frail uke and big athletic seme in the novel? One thing I liked in the series was they were fairly equal. In the big love scene Gu Hai even offers to bottom.

I've been following Force on Instagram since Enchanté. Let me tell you: It's been a pleasure watching him work…
I love his muscles - but even without them, his face... How did he get that stunning in a year? Maybe he was so depressed over how awful Enchante was that he didn't look his best or something.

All that may be true, but Force takes his shirt off a lot. 20/10 for that, which raises it from a 7 to an 8. Actually,…
Oddly enough, I was unaware of that site.

But I liked Gun weaponizing his body for passive-aggresive territorial marking during the live-stream. In general, though, this series is losing steam fast due to the lack of any plot and the static relationships.

no, sometimes emotional neglect can be super traumatic too unfortunately
Yes, that's certainly true - it's just that Yutaka's manifestation of trauma is very specific and very severe, which we didn't really see motivation for - it looks from Ep 2's additional snipped that it will be delved into more, which is fine. I think maybe the flashback was too benign to really have any emotional impact on the viewer. I'm guessing it was scarier in the source material.

It was more than hinted, even in episode 1, that Yutaka was certainly shamed, belittled and ridiculed for his…
It does look from Ep 2 like they'll delve into it more - I was afraid that's all they were giving us. Not being able to eat in front of other people is socially crippling and very specific - it's a bit odd for that to be the only manifestation of trauma, but I'll go with it for now.

The fever thing didn't strike me as weird. Probably because I was around young kids a lot and heard parents say…
Well, they could get hit by a basketball instead - that's produced a fever in at least one BL.

I remember that and thinking, hunh? It's certainly unpleasant to wear damp underwear, but how on earth would that give you diarrhea? Even if it were soaked in cholera-infested water. What a strange plot-point. I'm guessing there are some old wives' tales I'm unfamiliar with that BL writers think are true.

This drama is not ground breaking. Its nothing special. It's fine, I'm enjoying the dynamics between the two leads,…
I remember the passive-aggressive "Hey gaming world, he's mine." scene, because it involved Force with his shirt off. That's about all I remember and I just finished watching it 5 minutes ago. And there was also a scene at a beach where everyone frolicked in the sea fully dressed, which was so strange that it stuck in my mind a little, mostly because I was angry Force didn't take his shirt off.

this is just really really good and I’m so happy when watching it! The 2 romances are amazing! Watching Gun…
I think the friendships are much better and what keeps my interest. TBH, I don't feel Gun & Cher at all. I don't think they have any chemistry. I feel a little from Force, which might just be the radiation from his hotness, but almost none from Book, although I do find his character cute, unlike in Enchante.

How many years later and we still don't know how to close doors in BLs
I'll bet his phone isn't PW-protected either.
On A Boss and a Babe Apr 15, 2023
Sigh. There were some good things in here. Mostly surrounding Force taking his shirt off. Also, Book did a good job of being bummed out about his brother - I liked that he was "adult" sad instead of bawling-like-a-child sad. I also liked Gun's passive-aggressive insertion as Cher's public boyfriend.

But the leaving-the-door-open-so-50-people-see-what-they-shouldn't trope is so, so so old at this point that it just makes me feel tired and disappointed. I'm also so, so so over ukes absolutely loathing sex and acting like a kiss on the cheek is attempted rape. Let's be honest - if Force were your boyfriend you'd call in sick for a week and climb all over that 24/7. And the whole point of a relationship is having someone to cuddle with to sleep. At least Gun knows that. A little reserve before you're together is fine, but if you're going to put them together early in the series, then they need to act like they're together or it gets frustrating to watch. I'm not saying they should have on-screen sex all the time, but I'm not feeling much chemistry other than what's innately given off by Force's hotttness.

A contrasting example: Fourth & Gemini have played young couples that are not sexually active, but they behave as if they're into each other - subtly leaning into each other, brushing hands, just wanting to touch - it's so believable that it hurts a little as it brings up old memories. This is so artificial that I'm bored, except for staring at Force, which I don't think I'll ever tire of.

What the hell is the rating are they buying this shit?! It shouldn't get more than a 7 rating. The chemistry is…
All that may be true, but Force takes his shirt off a lot. 20/10 for that, which raises it from a 7 to an 8. Actually, I wouldn't give it much higher than a 7, either.
It was OK. Too reliant on cliches and tropes. Tripping & falling on him, past connection, etc. But it involves a character with a great body taking off his clothes constantly so I'm in.

Why did they blur his lower abs in that scene toward the end? Just because they're close to his naughty parts?

There's some more detail to it in manhwa. Hopefully it's explored well
They added another snipped in Ch 2, so it looks like it will gradually flesh out, which is actually good writing, so I'm mollified!

One of my exes was Thai and he was always very anxious to dry his hair after rain or washing his hair. In Thailand…
Once I was in Tokyo during a heat wave - they have water sprayers all over the place to keep pedetrians cool, but it was so hot it was basically steam.

If they put those in Thailand the entire population would die if you take BL as reality. But that is a good point about air conditioning, and in humid weather hair takes a long time to dry. I'm used to California where it dries seconds after you leave the shower.

Wait, 18 degrees?! I'd hate to see the power bill.

Cute, with Yutaka being a weirdo without carrying it so far that it's annoying or unnatural. A rarity.

Is it Asian drama in general, or just BL writers that don't seem to know how human physiology works? Like you don't fall ill with fever if you're looking forward to something, and you also won't get a fever if a drop of rain touches you in 35-degree weather.

Minoru is gorgeous.
On Our Dining Table Apr 14, 2023
This is cute and I enjoyed it quite a bit, but that is the silliest trauma I've ever seen, That older guy needed to at least be abusive or something, It makes Yutaka seem mildly ridiculous. I hope that gets delved into a bit to give it more substance.
