I'm pretty sure that Put established that Pat spent time overseas when he said "Why didn't you tell me Pat was…
I think the chances that the original Thai said that are about 0%. The translator probably ran into something culturally Thai that foreigners wouldn't get, figured most foreigners that watch these are from "white" countries, and stuck that in.
I already said my part about Jeng’s management on my post so I’ll tackle the BL part here. Even though I’m…
Mature and meaningful relationships without lust are friendships, not romances. I don't think it's necessary that the lust go anywhere until much later, but it needs to be there to fuel the development of the relationship and the conflicts on the way there.

All these BL dramas where people sleep with each other immediately? You're watching different BLs than I am. If you get a kiss in the last 30 seconds of the final episode it's racy. If you'll recall, 2gether ended with a high-five. My School President barely had a kiss. There is a minority of BLs where there is sex, and an even smaller number where it happens early, and when it does, it's usually a problem like in Love Mechanics.

I agree - I didn't say the show is bad because there's no BL, I'm saying it's time to start on the BL now. If there were to be another episode of office politics with no BL, it would be tedious.
That translation of whatever Pat said to the gross guy was offensive and non-applicable. "straight white male"? How would that make sense in Thailand, and it's offensive in any case. And I loved how they translated "shit!" into "oh, my!" He said it in English - that's an odd choice.
But otherwise, although I think this is good and well-written, and finally by someone who knows what a workplace is like, it's a little unpleasant to watch, and it's time to get to the BL - there's really no whiff of it yet.
As far as management, Jeng was out of line in telling Pat to keep his distance from Nan - that's a discussion he should have with her - Pat has little control over it. He has also allowed a bad environment to develop and that's his responsibility. But otherwise, his critiques of Pat's work were gentle and he always included a compliment with ever correction.
If y’all thought Daddy Jeng was harsh, y’all have not worked in a competitive work environment. The delivery…
Jeng was out of line when he told Pat to cool it with Nan, He should have had that discussion with her, not him - and he has to take responsibility for how awgful an environment that workplace is.
But I've had much worse boses and none that looked like Jeng...
This episode ruined it for me. I agree about Mike - and I'm saddened they used him as a vehicle to introduce ridiculous…
Also, the internship is over in 2 weeks, so why does anyone care? It just makes no sense. I'm not going to drop the show, and I've enjoyed it so far, but it needs a plot and not to try to give us drama by throwing stuff like this at it.
What's with all the plotless series lately? And wow, Frank is really bad at kissing Lee Long Shi threw himself into it, but without a response it was weird and a bit icky. TBH, Frank is bad at almost everything in this series - I'm hoping it's the directing. He's normally charming, but I guess that would be hard for anyone if they had to wear that wig.
I really enjoyed this - Japanese BLs are good at quickly drawing and realizing characters and letting them drive the story rather than the other way around.
It can be frustrating and disappointing when people behave out of character to suit a formulaic plot point and that rarely happens in a Japanese BL. Some of them go around in circles too much , but so far, not this one.
Our Dining Table and this one are both very character-driven and apparently they are both too much to grasp for…
Well, there's nothing wrong with being horny - but I much prefer character-driven stories like this to plot-driven series, where it doesn't matter who the character is, they have to be shoe-horned into a formulaic plot. I think usually more than being horny, many people watch a series to see cute boys being cute to each other, which is a similar drive - it doesn't matter if nothing makes sense as long as there is cuteness.
When the plot is driven by the characters, it doesn't matter where the plot goes, you just enjoy the ride.
That look Minoru gets on his face when he's moved - if it were aimed at me I'd probably start crying. That man is just beautiful, and I love that he has the deep voice.
Usually a kid is annoying but this one is adorable and so natural.
This might be my favorite BL airing at the moment. Also, I'm hungry now. There's no Japanese restaurant in easy walking distance and it's freezing outside, but no pain, no gain.
