Don't know if you felt it wrong or I, but I do find chemistry is there. Specially the crying of Fah and Sher seeing…
I don't think the acting is bad - it's at least average, and the scenes you mention were good. I mean the romantic chemistry between Fah and Sher, which I don't feel.

I think there's no chance in h$&& they're going to take the twincest (is best) route, even though that would be awesome. That would provide good motivation, for sure, but is probably a bridge too far for BL viewers - you've probably noticed they go nuts when it's even step-brothers.

I think you might have misunderstood my point - which is that because there's no apparent reason for Fah to like Sher since he treats him so poorly, logic says it must be physical. They need to show us a romantic connection for us to believe it, and they haven't. They know nothing about each other, they don't talk, and all they do is have sex. The only moment that was more than that was the sleeping in class scene, which was so one-off and not followed up that it felt like it was thrown in just because the author thought it was cute.

I'm not sure what you mean about becoming evil when you have a physical attraction. For me, the attraction is always initially physical, and that motivates me to get to know the person better. Do you turn evil when you're physically attracted to someone?

There's a coldness to this series that keeps me from investing in it. There's just no chemistry, and they haven't really set up charactere motivations in a convincing way. Sher just says he likes being single, which is clearly not true, and he likes Fah, but why resist? For it to make sense we need to know what happened to him in the past to make him fear commitment like this or he just comes off as an asshole. Likewise, why does Fah like Sher, who treats him like sh$%? That leaves us with the conclusion that it's purely a physical attraction, in which case why would I care what happens?

Prince & Gear are a decent couple but are barely in it, so that doesn't help, and Ping & Tap don't do much for me. Ep 5 was a bit of a struggle to get through, and Gaga doesn't have a +10 seconds button.

I hope that feeling continues for you, but after the 1st episode it quickly descends into the same ole thing.

I'm glad someone called out their shameless ads 🤣 But 1 star for their story is too low tho 😅
Is there a story, though? It's basically "Two guys die and are transported to a parallel universe where they make films until they suddenly go home and don't talk to each other for no apparent reasosn until they do. The End." But I raised it to a 3 just for you.

The former roommate is a lost cause - he's even a Republican, and really racist.

When I saw Big Eden I was actually dating a guy from Montana and I said I thought the acceptance in a rural place like that seemed implausible. He said it's very realistic, because he's FROM the town. They would reject a gay guy from NYC moving to town, but nobody would be bothered by one of their own people being gay.

One thing I don't like is when gay men are portrayed as TOO "normal" - I'm not the same as a straight guy (I'm better) and that's not represenation either. Big Eden did a good job of striking a good balance, and it was the first American movie that did that. There was a British film My Beautiful Laundrette which also did it.

I wish. Instead it's just dull.

This is a hard no for me. I'm not watching yet another BL about "straight" guys falling for each other and the acting and writing is too dull and formulaic to hold me. The guys playing the secondary couple are cute, but it's not enough.

The stereotype of what gays want is what you describe. But the stereotype of a gay man is more like the trio in this series. And there are a lot of subtypes that gay men will be more familiar with, but not the general public, like twink, bear, gym-bunny, etc.

I do get your point, and to me, "straight-acting" (emphasis on acting) guys who work out a lot and are afraid that anyone will think anything they do at any point will come off as even remoteely femine are 100 times more annoying than flaming types, who are at least usually interesting and entertaining instead of dull bores who's only idea of a good time is BBQ guzzling beers while wathing sports (sorry, I had a roommate like this once and the trauma runs deep).

But I don't think that's the general public stereotpye. Governments and corporations are against gays because they want "real men".

Wdym, playing a bunny DOES count!!! 🐰🐰🐰
OK, it counts, but not as character development, since he's been a frightened bunny since day 1.

Not everyone would put a flashback in a work with 90-second episodes. I wanted to shout "Dude! It was literally seconds ago!"

Anyway, I don't think you can really get into a story with episodes this short. It might have worked as one 40-minute film, but I don't think I can maintain interest for a week or even remember this by then.

Maybe it would be worth it all at once, but doing it this way feels like an attempt to maximize views.

It is going to resume where they left off. With a slight sprinkle of independence on Eiw's part.
Hmm,. I hope that comes out better than it sounds, because I've been enduring this to get to 2011.

Didn't Akk admit that he was behind the curse, or at least had been until this ep? I'm not at all bothered by the curse, although it's hard to believe anyone could think it's anything but human agency - although belief in ghosts is a defining characteristic of Thai culture so it wouldn't seem as far-fetched to a native audience.

It would have been interesting if the "curse" were leveled on the three boys because they were openly gay (and not had them act so much like stereotypes) - then the show could have examined homophobia and internalized homophobia, and given dimension and stakes to Akk and Kan's voyage of self-discovery.

I liked the first 8 minutes - after that it was filler. I would have liked if the previous 8 episodes had been more concise and then we got to see Eiw's post-Cake life in more than a few snippets. He got over his sadness, which is good, but I didn't see too much character development - I think that needed to be there. And playing a bunny doesn't count.

This is probably not a popular opinion, but Earth's whiny voice makes me want to hurt something. I was disappointed that it looks like he's exactly the same 3 years later - I hope there is some nuance to his new relationship with Cake and it doesn't just resume where it left off. I was hoping Eiw's voice would sound more mature. And it's not his effeminacy - he could dial that up 100% and it wouldn't bother me at all. It's the whininess. And the crying. I'm getting tired of Earth crying. Poor Earth and Fluke spend half their time onscreen crying.

Lather, rinse, repeat ...If not for the charming developments between Khan and Thua we could have skipped the…
Yes, unfortunately they're focusing on the most boring part of the plot instead of the uncle story, which is more interesting.

The only thing that wasn't predictable in this story was that Akk made it all the way across a swimming pool without downing or even getting a cramp.

Thua and Kan, though, are quite special, which has kept me going.

I really want to be able to enjoy this as much as everyone here does, but I just don't see what's good about it other than Thua and Kan. The "messaging" is heavy handed, the plot is incredibly repetitive, and Akk and Ayan are an endless stream of cliches. In one episode we had a sponge bath, wiping food off the corner of the mouth, and underwater and kiss (which is better than an accidental kiss, but we've already done that). Their relationship is progressing, but it's the same pattern repeated over and over but each time they're a little closer - movement, but dull repetitive movement.

The gays screeching like little girls every time any teeny thing happens is offensive. What's the point of making them flaming, or even gay in the first place?

It's not terrible, and has good qualities, but it's dispiritingly predictable and thoroughly mediocre.

With the exception of Thua and Kan. The development of Kan's sexuality rings all authentic notes, is paced very well, and is beautifully integrated with Thua, who is himself a very interesting and complex character. The metaphor of Kan's closeted nature with his secret persona is a nice parallel, just like it's not fooling Thua who is patiently waiting for Kan to tell him it's him. Louis & Neo's acting is excellent and subtle.

Unlike First and Khoutung, who, no fault of theirs, are stuck with unsubtle characterization and dialog, thought I think they do as well as anyone could with the material. It's hard to have any impact when your're rolling your eyes because you can predict the entire scene from the first 5 seconds.

Credit where due: The dinner scene was really good and cute up to mom's judgment, which while I thought it was obvious would be positive, the way she expressed it caught me off guard and I loved it. Also, AJ's plot is interesting and has taken an turn towards merging with the main plot, which is good writing.
