That was really good. The acting and writing are high quality, and it's filmed well. It was a tad slow, but not so much that I lost interest - I have no idea how they'll resolve the age diffrence, unless saving JH somehow pulls him into 2022 as a 25-year old, which would be really hard to explain. Fortunateley he's a law student, which is still useful knowledge in his future. If he were a computer engineer he'd be screwed. Or a fashion designer, He'd have to wait a year or two until we move out of retro-1980s into retro-1990s. Sigh.
Wait, he survives the abductor this time around, so does that mean he changed the time continuum? Or was the murder…
The kidnapper escaped. JW checked the desk and his "thank you" was still there, so that means JH gets killed later. The timeline can't have been changed, because the kidnapper attack happened before future JW arrived.
So now future JW has to save JH from being killed, and I'm guessing the connection to the past can only exist until the dorm is demolished. So I'm not sure how the situation will be resolved, because if JH survives, he'd be 40 when JW is his current age of 25. So the options are big age difference, or one of them has to end up in the other's time.
Well, as adults they'd be 10 years apart. No big deal for a 25 year old and a 35 year old to date.
Yeah, I don't understand where she's coming from. I have sex with my brother all the time. We started when he was 8 and I was 25. Our father taught us how.
I didn't quite understand the jump from traveling back in time and getting involved with someone your own age and... incest? Okay...
why is nobody talking about the fact they met when he was TEN YEARS OLD, and that he sees him as a little brother.…
I feel like you may have misunderstood what's happening. They just met in the past, and future JW has gone back in time to rescue JH, an so they're both 25, and so I can't understand how that's objectionable. They're not relatives at all.
Obviously it would be messed up if they started dating when JW was 10, but as JH was killed in 2007, future (2022) JW is a stranger to JH.
from the boarding house lady remembering SJW's face to KJH's photograph that was taken while he was holding the…
Something can't work, because if JW saves him, they can only be together if he stays in the past or he saves him by bringing him to the future, otherwise they'll have a fairly large age difference. 25 & 40 isn't undoable, but it's a bit much. 35 & 50 is much better.
I must agree on the number of episodes. I think 6 or 8 would have been enough. Too much of Minato trying to make…
I probably sound like I didn't like it - I did, just not as much as I would have if it hadn't gone in circles. It made Minato's character a bit unsympathetic. I would expect him to have some resistance given Shin's age - but unfortunately we never really got to see him processing, and it was interesting to have a very young and aggressive seme with a much older uke, but that was never really explored either. Still, it had a lot of cute moments and the first few eps and the ending were really good.
Well, I did smile at the ending, and I appreciated the non-standard way it went. I guess for me it was just too thin a story and too dull and repetitive, to the point that I stopped caring whether or not they got together. Making studying vs. romance as a zero-sum game isn't really true to life. Being with someone you love is energizing and their support enabling, so the constant denial didn't ring true and grew tiresome.
If that had been 8 episodes it would have been much bettere. 12 was just too long for such a shallow and simple a story. It was too much of a slog to get to the great ending - but four less episodes of trudging in circles would have made the pace more pleasant - it's a fluff piece, so all it needs to do is get from point A to point B.
I appreciate subtitles, but there's a point where it would be easier to tell what's going on without them. I was disappointed by the first episode. Hopefully it will pick up when Max Liu shows up. The heat certainly will.
It looks like it could be good - great cast. I hope it's not a big 'ole bag 'o tropes. But having an actual dentist (instead of a student of dentistry) is already breaking the mold a bit.

And if it's a boy in a boy's body, what's the point?

I guess next is Once Again, starting tomorrow. Then a spate of new series in October.
