Agreed with just about everything you said. (Especially the instrument and ensemble comments!) The only thing…
I still don't understand why they would do that to his hair. I'm getting a little tired of 20 year olds with major heart problems. Maybe a drop of rain touched him and his heart got damaged because nobody gave him a damp towel wipedown.

I like Fluke, but I'm not as much of a fan as l lot of people. I think there's a point where a performance is so restrained that it's not really a performance (like Ohm), but to me Fluke overacts. When I'm feeling bitchy (which is almost always), I refer to UWMA as Waterworks and his Talking Marionette. Not that it's his fault that they give him roles where 90% of his time is spend crying, but I'd like to see him play an axe-murderer or anything other than a frail scared boy who cries about everything.

You've probably seen the type - tight t-shirts and baseball caps.

I didn't think all that much of Noh in Nitiman, but for some reason he's doing it for me here. Probably partly because he's contrasted against Ohm, who could make a sheet of plywood seem exciting by comparison, but also because he's paired with Peterpan.

The years included in the term "middle-aged" have slowly crept up over the years - if you were to run a poll, you'd probably get 50-65.

This made me laugh really hard. Haven't seen ep 7 yet but I imagine the leads are basically doing more of the…
If you laughed, then something good has come of all this. Noh is definitely effortlessly sexy. Peterpan is comfortagbly above average, too. I feel a little bad for Ohm, because he has to be compared to Noh.

The peformance hasn't happened yet, but they're in rehearsals. I'm not sure what the point is - with a cheering crowd and rugby game going on, you're not going to hear a cello & guitar duet.

They keep saying Kim is shy, which is why he's downright aggressively hostile and evil to Sun. I'm not sure that's how shyness works.

3. It's boring and repetitive. I'm here for the ride, but a tricycle going in circles isn't a very fun ride.

Sept 14? Okay I'm going to wait till this finishes airing so that I can binge-watch cause I've been watching too…
I think it might be hard to watch in a binge - it's very repetitive, so even if you like it, it might be a bit trying without a week's break between episodes. The first few could probably be watched all at once - they were cute and funny.

On Minato's Laundromat Aug 17, 2022
I had a hard time even paying attention to this ep - nothing ever happens, or at least it just proceeds in an endless loop. Was this the 87th time Minato tried to talk to Sakuma but was interrupted? It gets to the stage where there's no point watching it as every scene follows the same path as every other similar scene before it. I should have felt sad about the beach scene, but I was just bored.

It's a pity because I really liked this when it started, but it went nowhere. It's odd to watch something to his point and then drop it, but I can't see watching four more dreary episodes. I could take a nap or watch paint dry.

Tiew seemed interested in Mork at the ceramics shop, so I don't understand why he pretended not to know him the…
Yes - the first couple of times 'first' was used instead of 'now' was confusing and came out a bit rude. Another one is "by the way" in place of something, probably, "so anyway" or "oh, ..." so in the middle of a conversation, someone will cut in and say "by the way" in a way that makes it sound sarcastic or hostile. There's also something Thai that probably means "no problem" that gets translated "easy peasy", which is a term people might have used 100 years ago.

But the forms of address are so fundamental to the culture and language that something has to be done to communicate it. I was editing the subtitles to a series and I just left the "P". Most BL watchers are familiar with it. it's so cute anyway. How do you render "Phi loves Nong" - you really can't. "Big bro loves little bro" or "You're big bro loves you" - it sounds weird. I think you just render it literally and put in a T/N. A lot of people understandably got lost with the park scene.

I might be in a minority, but to me "gonna", "wanna" etc make me want to poke my eyes out. It doesn't matter if it comes out like that when you're speaking - putting it in writing makes the speaker sound illiterate. I was watching a period drama set in late Qing China, and Dowager Empresse Cixi said something like. "We cannot allow these circumstances to continue. I'm gonna teach them a lesson they're never gonna forget!" Ugh. First of all, the grammar is usually bad. "I'm gonna go to the store" is "I'm going to go to the store," which should just be "I'm going to the store." Second, how "going to" is pronounced depends on where you're from and the words before and after, so consciously saying "gonna" makes you sound like a rural Texan. I'm Californian, and it's never "gonna". Maybe "guyn 'ta". Anyway, I probably need therapy to get over this issue.

I'm seeing complaints about Q's mother. It's quite clear she has zero problem with being gay - she didn't even…
That's a good theory - I like it.

Regardless of where he is with his sexuality, I think Q likes X because X is cute and pursuing his attention. Sometimes its attractive when someone likes you. I thought the saving thing was a clever twist on the trope - their incredibly stupid plan backfired adn instead of making Q look good, made his rival look good, and in a way that would make it dickish for Q to mean to him after that - so in a way his plan to woo Mook forced him to be friendlier with X.

I know it's different for girls, but boys tease each other. It's a part of socialization and often leads to friendship. Flicking water on Q was dickish, but it's water. Penis shaming is more serious, provided its unprovoked. In this case Q spun to confront X with it hanging out, which in 100% of cases would result in teasing. There is no pattern of bullying or anything and X followed up his teasing by being more or less relentlessly nice to Q and his family. Maybe it feels a little like X was being a jerk because he persisted in being nice when Q didn't seem very receptive, but being polite to your mom and giving her a thank you gift and insisting on getting you home safe are not exactly horrible things to do.

And sometimes you're just attracted to someone you don't like or want to like, and that can get sublimated into hostility - maybe it's like you said - he just finds X attractive, and maybe he knows it - and he may think at this point that X is into Mook.

I'd say18-20 years. If In and Sasimiwol haven't spoken in 20 years which is probably not coincidentally how old…
I thought In and Wang's dad were the same age - but we'll probably find out soon enough.

Yes. I was thinking that if my music teacher looked like that I would have spent all day in a practice room playing my instrument, IF you know what I mean.

It says 14+, but it seems likely to be a bit much for 14-year olds. Not so far, but we'll see.
Well he could be Wang's father if they don't do anything. There might be a hot gardener for Wang to end up with. Or the hot gardener's father.

You've posted so many comments like this that I take it you have a problem with age difference. It's not important…
Thank you - I missed this below. That is probably a better guess than mine. I thought from what Wang's mother said to In that she was suggesting In was Wang's father, but now that you laid it out it seems obvious to me that you're right. Wang is merely In's stepson. :) So we'd have a boy sleeping with his father's ex, who's mother is also his father's ex and yet friends with her husband's ex who's sleeping with her son, and In is sleeping with the son of his ex. Very messy and not recommended. But strangely hot.

I'm still enjoying this but the music scene by the lake had me shaking my head. Seriously, what was up with that…
If for some reason I dragged a $100,000 wooden instrument out to a muddy lake shore in a grove that's on fire, I would hope somone would get me the mental health assistance I need.

That's better than coming to a discussion forum to talk about how much you dislike people talking about things…
I've personally financed three BLs, 2 Thai and 1 FIlipino. You may have watched them. If a BL sucks as bad as this one, it should get negative reviews - otherwise people will continue to make garbage series. I would agree with you if people say "This show is terrible. Bye." But they're not doing that, they're giving reasons why. People can learn from the input they get. If somone creates somehing and assumes he's great and nobody has any right to say otherwise, then is he going to improve, or is a fragile narcisssist? One of he BLs I financed had too shallow a script and I thought it wasn't good enough - they next one went better because people offered critiques - including and especially here, and we learned from them.
