Not sure about the other cast but I can talk about BillySeng 🥰 Have I watched the trailer for “New Ship/Couple”?…
I agree - that's why I said they can definitely do convincing love scenes. They really committed and were believable even a very silly series. It's be nice to see Seng as a "normal" person showing off his looks.
Sigh. I've never really understood what everyone found so appealing about Boun & Prem - maybe it's just the contrast with crybaby and his robot. This hasn't helped me understand, except Boun is interesting-looking.
Lee Long Shi, though, I get the appeal of. Holy Moly. I have to admit I'm intrigued by that pair, if for no other reason than that they're both muscle-bound and aren't going to fit into the usual mold. I'm looking forward to lots of shirtless boxing scenes with their glistening bodies intertwined, muscles straining... sorry, got carried away. But those two are a hot pair.
The other standout for me is Earth Chitsanupong - I don't know what his character's name is, but he's handsome and funny - I'm looking forward to his series.
The writing on this is strange - people do a lot of things that I don't think real people would do.
I didn't think it worked in Cutie Pie, although I agree with you on the ratio.
Zee was much better, and the wardrobe was definitely better, but the way businesses are run is so bad it's funny - like wheb Zee was making copies, which no CEO in the history of civilization has ever done or ever will, especially since nobody prints things and makes copies anymore.
They also always write rich and powerful people as extremely untalkative and unemotional, and everything they do has enormous gravitas, as if the Pharaoh were conducting a sacrifice to the gods - in reality they're just like other people.
the tone of Japanese BL's are so good.. it feels so different to thai and korea in a good way.. I felt this way…
I think it's because Thai series are all based on bad novels and tend to be formulaic and cast people who are inexperienced actors. Japanese BL has a quirky edge to it that keeps it fresh. You would never in a million years see a 17-year old aggresively pursuing a 30-year old in a Thai drama. Although Shin is taller. That will never change. Someday a short guy will be aggressive and the world will end.
Do you think the teacher is Shin's father or uncle?
I'm really enjoying this - I like breaking the age barrier, especially when the younger one is the aggressor. I doubt Shin is as domineering as Togawa in Old Fashion Cupcake, but it wouldn't bother me if he is...
OK, I'm scared. it looks like it will be good... but while we've gotten some good things from this direcctor, we also got That's My Candy, which may have been the worst BL ever made.
As for the cast, they were great at OTT whackiness, but can they do serious drama? I don't know. They can DEFINITELY do convincing love scenes.
OK, first, take your shoes off before climbing into a bed. I don't care if it's your own bed. Second, every single person watching this knows how a phone works, and you can't plug a dead one in for 10 ten seconds and then make a phone call. If he'd at least left it plugged in I could buy it, but you have to turn it on first even then.
Third, if everyone is going to wear a face mask, then they need to wear name tags. Speaking of which, is this a drama series or a skin care infomercial? How did Cherry get there to listen in on Kamol? His guards changed their minds? Lazy, lazy writing - and all so, sigh, we can have the evil scheming female character that for some reason are de jure in BOY Love. They need to start calling it BETHOTSICBSBL (Boy even though half of the screetime is consumed by schemng bitches Love)
This is terrible. Not as terrible as the first ep, mostly because nobody left the sink running, but it's just so boring and stupid, with a 12-year old's imagining of what a mafioso is like. The supervillain black suits are LOL. The writer is Thai, right? Has she ever been outdoors? I live in CA where it's not as hot and there's no humidity, and I wouldn't wear a black suit even at night. Not even to a funeral - people would think it's weird.
And that piano theme. What is that supposed to be? It sounds like Chopin f#$%ed Vivaldi then they kidnapped Satie. Is it supposed to sound Mafia-esque?
Anyway, the chief problem is it's deathly boring. At least the LOL love scene was, well, LOL.
OMG. Do the manga already finish? Is it good, better, or nah compare to this drama adaptation?
That's a tough question. I like the series because Togawa is perfectly cast and he's hot, but the manga is a little better storywise - if for no other reason that it continues past where the series ends. I'd have to say the series is better.
LOL. I don't know how they are gonna do a 2nd season when so much of Volume 2 of the manga is sexual content.…
A lot of that was in Vol 1. Vol 2 is 99% sex too, but that was chapters 5.5 and 5.6 of Vol 1 - sort of a post-lude. It doesn't bother me that they followed the manga, but to stop it before the racy bits - especially when it's only 5 episodes, is a little disappointing, although it's way too much for a series - I mean Togawa really pounds him over and over and it's fairly graphic. I guess you could have most of it off-screen.
To everyone who said "the kiss was interrupted in the manga", yes, yes it was, and then Togawa moved into Nozue's place and f#$%ed the bejeezus out of him. You forgot to mention that.
i would have enjoyed other kiss scene as well. Lets hope they release a season 2 (with lots of kisses of course)
I've found class difference the biggest problem. It's not necessarily a problem between the two people, but it's usually a huge problem between families, i.e. one's mother thinks the other boy isn't good enough for hers, and the other mother thinks he's too snooty for her son. A family friend married a Korean guy, and her parents were aghast - until they met his parents, who were at about the same level, so everything was OK. They were probably imagining him selling designer bag knockoffs from a cart on a street corner.
He wasn't really calling him out - he was encouraging him to use the notebook.
Well, that's a very good question. I still don't understand how Tin gave him the notebook, being dead and all. You'd think if you were just shot to death you wouldn't be thinking about a notebook if you could return as a ghost like that. I'd go haunt Dr Sak or something.
Wasn't there a kis ep. 4 just before the finger thing? It looked very much like one! Am I mistaken?
Thanks - I'm glad to know it's in the original. I should read it - except I usually walk away thinking the manga is much better than the series, like the one with the guitarist.
