That was a bit better, but too many flashbacks - once they even flashed back to the previous scene. Prakan did let Tuaphee fasten his own seatbelt though - that is truly groundbreaking. Also, I didn't notice any product placement. I'm sure it was there, but for once they let it be subliminal. I do feel strangely hungry...
I guess my problem with this is I don't like Prakan at all. Tricking someone into getting unwanted chemo through a false promise is really low. The casualness with which he broke his promise to Tuaphee was dickish too. How can anyone bear to see Karn's sad-face? Also, I'm not sure about Nut's acting - when Tuaphee said "why are you making that face?", I actually laughed, because he only has one facial expression.
I'm pretty much watching this for Karn - that's a beautiful man. Yacht is doing a great job - it's interesting to see him in a villain role.
Th predictability, though - I wonder what the big Ep 11 drama will be. It's a huge, huge mystery.
Pretty much totally agree again. I had to laugh about "it's not what you think," which has to go in the BL canon…
If you've seen The Crying Game, it was fairly remarkable and ground-breaking when it came out - in 1992. If you were to watch it today, you'd groan and possibly be mildly offended.
It feels like it would be hard to screw this up, but if they lean on failure of communication, it may be frustrating. We'll see - this series has some nice things in it, so it may surprise everyone.
You are rarely happy with anything that has to do with BL anyway.
I might be a tad on the picky side. :) But I like series with plots and character development, preferably with complex and interesting characters. I love Miracle of Teddy Bear, One Love/Rak Diao, Secret Crush On You is a guilty pleasure, I liked My Ride, so far I like La Cuisine, Not Me was good except for the terrible ending, I loved Semantic Error. Maybe you don't follow what I like and don't see me ranting and raving about how great I think they are?
This series is about a cat who turns into a boy, which Dem doesn't seem to have any questions about, so it's hard to expect it to have a meaningful story. This could work as a comedy, but so far it hasn't taken that approach and has leaned on being shallow cutesy and on predictable formulas - not really my thing.
Well, nobody could think it's wrong to be friends with a cat, or even date one, right? You'd have to f#$% it for anyone to have a moral objection. I kiss the dog all the time and nobody cares, but if I tried to f@#$ it, I think there might be complaints. Not least of which from the dog. I don't even know if he's gay, and I'm probably not his type anyway.
As always when I see your comment (in this case a review), my day gets better 😂 But on the serious note tho,…
Thanks! Sometimes a bad series is still entertaining to watch - but this one is just dull to an extent that I didn't think was possible. Son is incredibly cute, and I guess it is nice to look at him, but I'd rather spend the time checking out his social media.
I think this is aimed at a different audience than me. I would have liked it to take a few risks instead of being that predictable. If you can see everything that's happening ahead ot time, it's not fun to watch and the humor isn't funny. Is there anyone watching this who wasn't expecting them to fall on each other when the cat toy came out?
Also, the cast isn't doing too much for me. I realize James is 23, but he's too much like a pre-pubescent boy for comfort, and Gap's wig is silly and distracting. The lack of acting experience makes it hard for me to be drawn in.
On top of that, SH was pushing the whole YT membership being for int'l fans thing quite a bit recently. So, like...how…
$9.99 is ridiculous. I've been hard-line about watching things legally unless there's no alternative, but at this point I'll need a second job just for BL watching. And SH should have paid US to watch GY2.
This show is really uneven. It started out being fresh and original, but it seems to want to abandon that and become as standard-issue BL as it can. I like Li a lot, but TBH I had completely forgotten he even had a boyfriend and if anything, I care even less than that after watching this.
Li had reasons to be upset, but that guilt thing was silly. "If I say you're the only thing that I ever needed, can you say the same to me?" No, of course I can't say that, and if anyone I was dating said that I'd have to try not to laugh at how ridiculous that is, and then I'd be worried that I'm with an obsessive psycho who is so fixated on me that I'm afraid my decapitated head will end up in his freezer. Family, friends, employment, a nice home - these are all things I need other than a man.
And that Ah Guan could have fixed the situation by saying ANYTHING (other than "it's not what you think!" which is the shadiest answer possible) is the most groan-worthy lazy writing that BL can give us.
I was hoping for something interesting with Amber, but I suspect it will be used just for shock value and not have anything to say about the subject. The forcing the rider to clasp his hands around the drivers waist is officially on the "irritating BL cliches" list. I put up with it in My Ride because the story was about well, giving people rides on a bike - here it had no real organic connection to the story, it was done just to do it.
Just finished ep. 6. Feels like almost a complete and poorly written-waste of half an hour in a series that only…
I with you on this - I ended up skipping & FF through most of this. If there's one trope I hate most in BL, it's when there's drama that is dependent on an implausible failure of communication. One sentence or phrase would have been enough to defuse the situation, and in any case, do I care about this relationship at all anyway? I certainly don't now...
Hi. Ur comment in here is so hilarious. I just find this series accidentally from internet, but it's kind of trailer/…
I have no clue. The ep they put out was labeled "pilot", which implies a series. If they read the comments section here (or on twitter where I'm sure it's much worse), then they probably won't continue it, lol.
Omg I laughed so hard at this review cuz of how on point it was... Except for the acting... I'm not saying they…
I agree about the acting - that's why I didn't say they were bad. The script provided no chance for anyone to act. I think both Son and Petch are primarily musicians - there seems to be a tendency to cast musicians so they can be cross promoted, but I can't see what this series could have done for anyone's career. Maybe they're all fantastic actors - we'll never know unless they're cast in something else by just about any production but the one responsible for this mess.
As much as how I enjoy this series without subtitles by using common sense, if it wasn't for fansubs I honestly…
I usually watch it raw and than again with subs. I watched a fansub for Ep 9, but the official subs are much better and it's worth the wait for me. Fansubs are only a few days ahead of the offical one, I think, although everyone seems to have better info than me.
Unless you're the child of a single parent with mental illness it's near impossible for people to understand how…
I grew up in a relatively happy two-parent home, I'm a lot older than Nut, and I need counceling just to deal with my eldrly parents - it's a huge amount of stress. Nut most likely feels trapped - "is this all my life will be?" He needs help and treatment himself, and he has to take care of someone who's condition is a constant worry - it's like living in a pressure cooker. It's difficult to watch him scream at his mother, but it's realistic and human.
