That pretty much sums it up. In reading this I was thinking the KBL doesn't tend to use the Accidental Kiss trope - maybe because it comes close to violating the First Commandment.

He's too mopey. I like Earn for his positive energy and confidence. I don't dislike Phun, I just like Earn better.

I haven't seen Just Friends? - holy cow Lee Je Hoon is unbelievably beautiful so that's at the top of my list now. But it's a LGBTQ+ short film, not a BL. I agree on Long Time No See, but that's an exception. It's not like any country gets an "A" on kissing, but Japan and Korea are at the bottom. There's just no comparison to the Philippines & Taiwan or even Thailand.

The On1y One had actors in their 30s.

The guy playing Noh is one of the best actors I've seen in a Thai BL.

Phun & Noh's love theme does have an Old Hollywood quality to it, but I'm glad it's about young love - it's suprisingly perfect.

I convinced myself that I would loathe this series, and I have to say this is one of the best BLs I've ever seen. Progress (the actor) is just spectacular - and the way they've romanticized their relationmship is so powerful without being prurient - even the music gives it a tragic Romeo & Juliet vibe. This captures the confusion and longing of that age so beautifully - I don't think I've ever seen that done in a Thai BL. Not with this level of emotionality and authenticity.

There is, however, a bit too much staring. Lots and lots of staring.

I don't see how anyone could possibly find that controversial (although I know people do). I would go so far as to say that you MUST experiment with your feelings and the physical aspect of those feelings.

Age of consent laws are there to protect vulnerable young people against manipulatiion and exploitation by adults, not to protect them from each other.

I can't speak for personal experience with women on dating sites, but I'm fairly sure you're right that men do not read profiles. They might if someone shows them attention, but in general we're shallow creatures and go by looks. But in the case of "appoint", the verb refers to putting somoene into a position, like "the king appointed Mr. Smith as Defense Minister" so it is confusing. In any case, you should read it like Elyes is telling Pat to schedule dinner for him with Kim.

It's running in circles. I can't tell if I've already watched each episode because they're all the same. While it's predictable, I don't see how it's possible to stretch this out for 8 more episodes.

That was cute, and I usually disagree with everyone when they say something is too short, but this is too short. It would probably be OK if it were released daily, and I get why they break them up - they need the clicks, but they could just release all 7 at once and would probably get more. Other than my intense desire to see the boss reveal the spectacular body he obviously has under that shirt, this wasn't enough to grab me to the point that I'll remember to watch it next week.

It's also a bit cliche - I don't think it has the originality or heart that Strongberry productions have.
