That pretty much sums it up. In reading this I was thinking the KBL doesn't tend to use the Accidental Kiss trope - maybe because it comes close to violating the First Commandment.
I know you being sarcastic but how many Korean series have you watched. Because we've got alot of great kisses…
I haven't seen Just Friends? - holy cow Lee Je Hoon is unbelievably beautiful so that's at the top of my list now. But it's a LGBTQ+ short film, not a BL. I agree on Long Time No See, but that's an exception. It's not like any country gets an "A" on kissing, but Japan and Korea are at the bottom. There's just no comparison to the Philippines & Taiwan or even Thailand.
I convinced myself that I would loathe this series, and I have to say this is one of the best BLs I've ever seen. Progress (the actor) is just spectacular - and the way they've romanticized their relationmship is so powerful without being prurient - even the music gives it a tragic Romeo & Juliet vibe. This captures the confusion and longing of that age so beautifully - I don't think I've ever seen that done in a Thai BL. Not with this level of emotionality and authenticity.
There is, however, a bit too much staring. Lots and lots of staring.
My 17 year old daughter tells me there's a corner at their high school campus known for making out. 🥵When I…
I don't see how anyone could possibly find that controversial (although I know people do). I would go so far as to say that you MUST experiment with your feelings and the physical aspect of those feelings.
Age of consent laws are there to protect vulnerable young people against manipulatiion and exploitation by adults, not to protect them from each other.
99% of people who rave about "green flag! green flag!" wouldn't give the time of day to some sexless nice guy.…
What's a podcast bro? I'm gay so I don't do a lot of "bro" stuff.
I can't speak for personal experience with women on dating sites, but I'm fairly sure you're right that men do not read profiles. They might if someone shows them attention, but in general we're shallow creatures and go by looks. I think when it comes to long-term relationships more than looks becomes important, but for most men all those other qualities are secondary, even if necessary (like intelligence and conversational ability, which I can't do without. Well, for more than two weeks.)
That's a good point about Tinder not being the real world, but ChatGPT tells me that over 50% of people aged 18-29 use online dating as their primary means of dating. I asked it to provide studies, and they all seem to range between 53% and 60%, so there is some consistency.
Pat shoud run off with Kim - he's nearly as hot as Elyes (and has a better body) and he's really nice, too. And…
Yes, he sure does need work on himself. We haven't gotten any backstory on him - this ep was the first time we got an inkling of anything that's happened in his past, but nothing can even begin to justify his emotional abuse of Patt.
I have a genuine question.. I'm not a native Thai speaker so I completely rely on english subtitles when watching…
It's just a misunderstanding of English grammar by whoever is translating. He means "make an appointment" It's kind of like when people say "I'm enthused", which is wrong (natives do this) - it should be "I'm enthusiastic." But in the case of "appoint", the verb refers to putting somoene into a position, like "the king appointed Mr. Smith as Defense Minister" so it is confusing. In any case, you should read it like Elyes is telling Pat to schedule dinner for him with Kim.
this series is like giving me the same vibe as unforgotten night, where it's so terribly made and written but…
Unforgotten Night had bodyguard shower orgies and a stoned tiger. This series has a way to go before it's in Unforgotten Night territory, although James is about 1,000 times hotter than Yoon.
Few of the viewers forget the title is BAD GUY MY BOSS,so it is supposed to be that way, justifying the title !Not…
I agree, but it's so repetitive that it gets boring. This episode has a lot of shirtless Kim and the new secretary is cute, so it had that going for it, but it needs to get moving somewhere instead of running in circles.
I won't sleep with anyone else except of Kim .... Bruh Elyes is so f*ing annoying I want to punch him sooo hard.…
Pat shoud run off with Kim - he's nearly as hot as Elyes (and has a better body) and he's really nice, too. And is slightly better dressed. In case we're counting.v Actually, I might take the new guy.
Ep4 and dropping this. It's like one of those romance novels where the plot is so thin and predictable that they…
It's running in circles. I can't tell if I've already watched each episode because they're all the same. While it's predictable, I don't see how it's possible to stretch this out for 8 more episodes.
That was cute, and I usually disagree with everyone when they say something is too short, but this is too short. It would probably be OK if it were released daily, and I get why they break them up - they need the clicks, but they could just release all 7 at once and would probably get more. Other than my intense desire to see the boss reveal the spectacular body he obviously has under that shirt, this wasn't enough to grab me to the point that I'll remember to watch it next week.
It's also a bit cliche - I don't think it has the originality or heart that Strongberry productions have.
The guy playing Noh is one of the best actors I've seen in a Thai BL.
There is, however, a bit too much staring. Lots and lots of staring.
