Yes, I agree. In BL, seme and uke are not just top & bottom positions, they're completely different genders. Most men wouldn't like it if another man always drove, opened the door for him, and otherwise took care of him. And even in the context of a man and a woman, would anyone write a woman like that? Maybe a teen princess in a period drama - and notice that when BL characters have parents that somehow survive their 30s (it's 75% survival for fathers and maybe 5% for mothers), the mother is usually not passive and useless like an uke.

It's very common to use English words or names, and Aries is a good choice for this character. That name can only be approximated in Thai letters (เอริส), hence Eris, although I think it's pronounced closer to "Eh-rít"

BL writers should all be required to take a music class, drink a beer so they can see it won't erase your memory and make you violently ill, hold a basketball so they can see it's not a cannonball that will knock someone out if it hits them, and watch gay porn so they can see that bottoming won't hospitalize you and is enjoyable, not some sacrifice to the monstrous lusts of the seme in exchange for his protection and guidance. Also bottoms can generally descend stairs without tripping, not die of fever if water touches them, and manage to use a butter knife without cutting themselves.

It is an American thing. In lieu of giving people anything they actually want, like more time off or a bonus, they give you a $25 gift card. Good God. Can we stop with this "all you want is sex" nonsense? The point isn't that there wasn't a sex scene, it's that the romance didn't progress. Kohei kissed Taichi and told him he liked him, Taichi said to himself he liked being kissed, and then nothing happened for 6 episodes. If you market something as a BL, then it needs to have BL. I don't thing a sex scene belonged in this series, and I don't think one single person here is saying so - this is your issue.

The fact is that they DID kiss, half the series ago, then nothing progressed from there.

Also, criticism isn't hate, it's criticism. What's the point of a discussion forum if it's "hateful" to express your opinion.

"This show SUCKSSS!!!!" would be unwelcome and pointless, but a reasoned criticism is what this place is for, not an echo chamber for people who get hurt when other people have a different opinion than they do.

Second couples are often better written and acted. The primary couple is sometimes saddled with something limiting, like "a boy who lost his smile", or some other factor that works in print but not in live action, whereas the secondary couple is freer to develop organically. Also, they're not onscreen much leaving you to want more, whereas you might lose interest in the boring and repetitive story that the leads tend to be stuck in.
