1) The diary fell and the photo fell out of it. It's not the same thing
2) So? The difference is that when asked he told the truth. When God asked Diew he flat out lied, several times, that Pee wasn't his ex, which is really bad. You never do that.
3) This is not an unreasonable leap. He was wrong, and it would be better not to jump to conclusions, but Diew was lying to him about Pee being his ex. Also, Diew could have easily cleared it up but he didn't - instead he refused to talk.

He's not being childish at all. Diew is also an adult, and he's incapable of the most basic honesty and communication. God has been totally open with him. There is a big difference between not volunteering information (and why would it ever occur to God to talk about exes? Nobody does that) and lying when directly asked. If Diew had been honest, none of that would have happened.

I largely agree with you, but I'd rate it higher than 6 just for the acting.

OK, that's good. Well, it's good if they actually make the second season. But it's still cheap to do a time jump. The reason that's lazy is because then the author doesn't have to resolve the conflict because it just goes away on its own.

10 years is also too long. Nobody is going to hold onto their high school crush for 10 years, especially if you moved somewhere else. It's possible to reconnect later, but it's starting all over because you're totally different people and you've processed your pain and gotten over it.

I don't know what you mean. There's only one ep left, so by definition it's rushed if they're skipping 10 years. If they end prior to the skip and then resolve it in a second season, then OK. I don't agree at all that Taiwanese BLs don't rush things - or rather they take everything painfully slowly, then vomit the conclusion into a ridiculously short period.

If they're doing a time jiump to paper over the conflict, I've lost interest. That is the worst form of lazy writing.

I just have to not find him attractive that long. :) What I'm basically saying is that I find him attractive but it's uncomfortable because he's underage.

I agree with you. When it's totally obvious they don't speak any English but are just mimicking the sounds, it takes me out of the story. Plus, then the actor isn't acting, they're reciting words they don't know and it drains the scene of any emoition. They could have cast any of a large number of Thai actors who speak English well - how about Pavel Phoom? That would have been a great role for him.

Also, not only does he not speak English, he did not even remotely have any musical ability, which was even worse (and again, Pavel Phoom.) The autotune was brain-damaging and he was barely even pretending to touch his guitar.

Where I differ from you is I'm not skipping over any scene with the manager in case they show him with his shirt off again because Jesus Christ.

I found this 100% predictable, dull, lacking in any kind of tension, and leaned heavily on cliches and implausible miscommunication. It was still better than most Thai BLs, but I don't get the hype I'm seeing here. I'm also getting sick of the trope that everyone wants p0rn. Nobody wants that. But JBLs more than any other nation's lack a physical aspect to the romance - it doesn't have to be sex, not even kissing. But they're all basically stories about friendships, not romances. I was loving I Hear Sunspot, but it went nowhere and threw in the obligatory manipulative evil female character to boot.

When people say "they just want p0rn" it says a lot more about them than it does anyone else.

I'm not sure I find the outfits hideous, but a lot of them are inappropriate, like wearing all black in Thailand during the day and unbuttoning your shirt more or less totally... at the office.

The boss' acting might be bad - it's hard to tell since he's been in the same scene over and over for the entirety of these two episodes. Patt's is pretty good, though.

OK, I don't dislike the series, but the non-linear aspects of this are really bad writing.

Why on earth was it necessary to flashback to Elis doing exactly the same thing he was doing in the present? That was just repetitive and tiresome, especially since all their interactioins are identical. James' smirk is incredibly sexy, but it loses its effect if he's always doing it. There was a scene where his smirk melted into insecurity which was really well-done and powerful, but other than that we haven't seen a lot of range from him.

Also, it was not clear whose fantasy that was around 3/5 of the way through the ep. I presume Elis', but it would make equal sense either way.

And come on. No executive, no matter how hot, is going to wear a shirt unbuttoned down to their navel at work. That was ridiculous. Nobody would be able to work around him.

A central problem with this series is that Elis is so awful that it's hard to respect Patt for not quitting.

He sleeps around in front of Patt's salad? I'm guessing that's a Korean expression or something, but in English, well, it creates a very... interesting image.

I agree, the time jump was confusing. I think you have to look at haircuts to decipher it, but the question remains, what was the point of the time jump? Why not just have a brief segment at the beginning in the past?

You can watch it on GagaOOLala. Actually, that would be nice instead of pirating, which is stealing. If companies that produce BLs can't make any money, they'll stop making BLs.

There was an accidental kiss in love stage that resulted in broken teeth and blood everywhere - but because they turned a comedy into a drama, it was just weird. But I still liked that scene.

Red, White & Royal Blue was rated R?!? That was a much more... involved love scene than you see in Asian BL, but it was still chest and above, although there was that non-sex view of an exposed behind. What that did to the gay audience would probably earn an R, but still.

RW&RB was actually terrible, but the leads were so hot it didn't matter. And it was filmed well and creatively. In BLs, the interminable texting is coma-inducing, but here they made it charming and fun.

I will check it out this weekend.
