I'm not usually one to complain about love scenes, but that one felt a little creepy to me. Mario's facial expression said "eww." and Jethro looked like he was trying to swallow Mario like a fish. The slo-mo just accentuated the weirdness.
Jethro has become tolerable, but now Mario is unlikeable. Sorry, but he's a grown man acting, not like a 12-year old, but like an 8 year old. His "move" was a bizarre peck on the lips, and his response to everything is to storm off and sulk, and his best friend is a cartoon character. Jethro shouldn't have posted that, but he erred out of love and exuberance, not anything negative.
I was at first hoping he'd end up with Arnold, but Arnold deserves so much better. It was clever of them to cast Ron Angeles, though, because if they hadn't I would have dropped this.
the part of the blow-dry hair made me laugh out loud because just a few days ago i did this to my sisters, and…
That is a good insight you've given me - BL is written by women, and they do this. Men to not ever blow dry each other's hair - ever, for any reason whatsoever, so it comes of as bizarre to me. Especially if you have short hair - it's just such a weird trope.
Also can I just say the theme song is super cute and catchy- I love the vibe and the harmonizations ;)
Their names more or less reveal it will be Mix & Match. This would have been the perfect series to do poly, but that will never, ever happen in a BL. I'm grateful there was a French kiss. That's downright kinky by BL standards.
This has to be the most underrated BL of all time. It's not the best BL of all time, but it's the most underrated. My theory is that people on MDL punish brevity. I'd much rather watch a 6 episode series that has a story that keeps moving and gets somewhere in a logical way with characters that are consistent than a 12 episode series that meanders all over the place and everyone acts like a completely different person in Ep 11 to generate artificial drama.
Let me ask: at the end of this were you thinking "I wish there was more!" That's because it was good and you liked it. What did you think at the end of Fish Upon the Sky? Problaby something like, "Well, that's over. Pond is handsome." (that's really all I remember about it). Craving more is a reason to give it a high rating, not a low one!
I agree that the fighting is really tedious, but ITSAY was a drama and this is a comedy - you can't really compare…
I don't like sound effect either - I thought they were more restrained than usual, which is progress - I had to turn off the volume of the earlier episodes of Lovely Writer and just read the subtitles. It was just out of control.
I love their chemistry but I'm just really tired of gmmtv's editing style and their way of telling a story. Fights…
I agree that the fighting is really tedious, but ITSAY was a drama and this is a comedy - you can't really compare them. Plus comparing a normal BL to ITSAY is like comparing Monet to Thomas Kinkaid.
The acting of the main couple is comparable though.
A problem I'm having is that Pat's friends are horrible human beings. Anyone who would treat a server like that when he's powerless to do anything is a coward and has no morals. And what Drake was doing was harassment. Can you imagine how a girl would have felt with four loud men pounding on her door? And the fighting is just tiresome and I end up ff through it.
But Ohm and Nanon are wonderful in this, and their chemstry is excellent and natural. I couldn't stand Nanon in My Dear Loser, but here he's first rate - I felt like crying when he was hurt after what Pat's father said. And he's so handsome now - those eyes...
I really hate the fighting, but the symbolism is cool with Engineers and Architects destroying a structure even though both their disciplines are needed to build things - I presume that eventually they'll all be friends and have to work together.
OK. First, if you're thinking of having a cartoonishly evil villain, just don't. And please, no more shallow evil female characters. Seriously, it's enough. The plot makes no sense. There is no reason to do what she's doing - in fact it's so against her own interests it's mind-boggling.
Second, if you're going to have a kiss, then have a klss, not whatever that was. A good hug is better than a bad kiss. Pinkies overlapping is better than a bad kiss.
And if you're writing something and a cliche comes to mind, beat the cliche to death while it's still in your mind and don't inflict it on your audience. This entire episode was just a grab-bag of cliches.
And while there's a certain predictability to BL in general, it shouldn't be so severe that every single person in the audience can write EP 7 word-for-word, because everyone here can. The last scene of Ep 7 will be___________. Is there anyone who can't fill in that blank?
On the plus side, there can never be enough of sunlight hitting Jang Eui Soo's liquid amber eyes. Also, I give him points for being the only actor in Asia who trims his fingernails. That was the first time I haven't thought "9-1-1 - emergency manicure! Stat!"
This ep lost me. Very disappointing. This has declined from "upper-mediocre" to "there needs to be more shirtless Jang Eui Soo to compensate us for this dreck."
The way yall saying this show is so bad lmaoo when it's just a simple kbl like everything else. Enemies to lovers…
The length is irrelevant - a well-written drama can make any length work. This is just badly written and full of cliches. BL is always a bit predictable, but I'll be I (and everyone else here) could plot out ep 7 word--for-word.

I agree with everything you wrote.
