why is it not recommended for under 18s?
The violence, I'm guessing. There are other adult themes, but it's rather restrained and tasteful.

I have no idea what's going on in this - I have no idea who's dead and who's not, but it's oddly entertaining.

so can someone post 8 eng links ? or are we just up to 7
The uncut version is up to Ep 7 - I believe Channel 7 has ep 8 out, but they always cut scenes out.

it also kind of reflects, at a certain point, the beliefs of hardcore BL-shippers. :)
It certainly does! Although you can see in comments sections that people are getting tired of engineers, so that's progress at least.

It is not that serious dude, you really need to chill
So you're saying that if an offensive stereotype of an effeminate gay man is in heterosexual shows, then it's not homophobic? That is certainly an interesting argument. Tropes in general are tiresome, but not all of them are inherently offensive - like for instance the accidental kiss trope which is silly and overused. That's not the same as painting all gay men that are effeminate as pathetic, which is not acceptable.

What is the purpose of a discussion forum if it's not to discuss the shows? I don't get the point of your comment. I don't like this - it's fairly simple.

I was about ready to punch the cinematographer for ruining two important scenes. I had to skip part of the pottery scene to avoid blindness and the scene in the park was making me sick.

I can't wait until the loose 80's slacks thing goes away - you have to be built like Mu Ren to look good in those, and I'm not. I really liked Yong Jie's last outfit - that's more me.

Other than the two OTT shots, there was some pretty good imagery - like more wedding symbolism surrounding Xing Si & Yong Jie, plus the way XS's outfit matched the lights in the tunnel of love.

Normally an episode like this would bore me, but this worked for me. I liked how evil mastermind Young Jie has had every little detail worked out of his master plan but is totally clueless about sweet talking. Also, the guy in the red hoodie? Holy Cow, I didn't realize what I was missing from MODC - I'll have to go watch that, and maybe skip the last ep.

I was just noticing how Mandarin is a great language for sex talk with all the sibilants (like "zh") that make you vibrate when spoken close to your ear, but Japanese is better for both swearing and orgasms. If you think about it you know I'm right.

I think they were meant to be complete idiots, not mocking Sikhs. If anyone took that as a serious depiction of…
I didn't realize that that's a stereoype of Sikh men - if that's the case, then I would agree it's offensive. Where I live, the sterotype of Sikhs is that they'll all doctors.

I thought they were just making fun of Bollywood.

Lol, that gay man is not so overweight, I didn't even notice! It seems he is of normal size :-)
Well, he's not "normal" overweight, he's just "Thai BL" oveweight., which means anything above 0% body fat.

Yes, Pinoy BLs are either fantastic or truly awful, with very little middle ground. Thai BLs have a few great ones, a few awful ones, and the majority are right in the middle.

Unpopular opinon: I don't like it. I like Mike Lin, but Melvin Sia's acting makes me cringe through every scene he's in, and he's in every scene. He overacts, and is not natural or authentic in his delivery. Also, I realize Asia's a little behind in terms of LGBTQ+ representation, but this story feels like something from 20 years ago, down to the detail level.

This week I couldn't make it past the strategizing scene. You could waste all your friends' time like that, or you could just tell your mother and invite her. Concealing a grandchild is just a step below homicide to a middle-aged woman. Probably a step above.

Anyway, I want to support the series, so I click on it, and I have a subscription, so I've done my duty.

On Call It What You Want May 1, 2021
I loved that the actors were required to wear their doctor and engineer uniforms even in the beach scene because "that how BL is done." I've always suspected the producers were making them do all that. "More accidental kisses! More trip & catch & stare! More screeching ladyboys!"

No. We're from a superpower, you're from some poor country that nobody cares about. What we say is important, what you say isn't.

Are there a lot of scenes added?
RIght - but I'm not going to rewatch the entire series without subtitles just to catch missing scenes - I'm hoping their put out a "cut scenes" video.

Black people were dragged here in chains as slaves and are an oppressed minority. Is that the case for Sikhs in Thailand?

Straight guys are also used for humour. Where's the problem?
Not all straight guys. ALL effeminite gays are silly "comic" relief characters. If all straight guys were presented the same way, I'd have a problem with it too.

That wasn't my point. My point was that if a person is going to be sensitive about "appropriation", then don't be selective. You can't complain about one while enjoying another.

I never understood why people find those so sexual - they're just horsing around. There's not even one whiff of…
They're all men, though. Even Chol is 18. It's not necessary, but I think it's cute.
