That was too long for the content. I liked the first part, but then it started to really drag. The fan event should have had a lot more energy than that - they need to tighten up the editing.
Also, enough with having Sib just staring for 15 minutes whenever Gene asks him to explain himself. It's really getting old and seems like a cheap way to try to generate drama. Now Gene will be in danger because Gene just stared again instead of explaining.
Tum made a big mistake - he should have asked Tiffy when he was wearing one of those tight knit shirts. Nobody would be able to say no. Am I the only one obsessed with him? Nobody ever comments on how hot he is. Is it because he's short?
Aey is way worse than Nubsib though at least in the novel. If they follow the novel we will see Aey do some pretty…
This isn't a novel, so we can only go by what we're shown. The existence of not of a novel is irrelevant when judging a series. It can be interesting to note where the series diverges from the source material, but that's still not relevant to whether or not a show is good, and so far, all we've seen is Aey being mistreated by everyone, in some cases, severely.
Ok, Aey has his issues for sure (lol) but Nubsib’s behaviour from the beginning and still now is bordering on…
Sib is a psycho. That he can't be bothered to be the slightest bit polite to anyone but Gene is a serious red flag. His emotionlessness is another serious red flag, although that might just be Kao's acting. Before anyone attacks, telling us he's feeling something is not the same as showing us.
Demn Aey, it is not gene's obligation to step back just because you expressed that you like nubsib. and it is…
Aey asked Gene before if he liked Sib, and Gene lied (he didn't really, he's such a cconfused disaster). Aey is not ridiculous to be upset about that. But it looks like he's going to take it way too far next ep.
It's interesting how some series they lack time, this one seems to have too much time. It would benefit a lot…
Yes, that was very dull, but it would have worked well if it were 10 minutes shorter.. They also need to stop having Sib just stare for 15 minutes any time Gene asks him to explain something. It's just lazy writing.
Who else thought that the first Episode moved very quickly? Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed it but now I'm…
Did it move quickly? I felt like not much happened. We know: Pi likes Mix, Mork likes Pi, and we know Pi's brother is the best thing about this show. And we know the ending because for some reason they showed it in the first scene. Maybe that's why it felt fast - you know the entire plot ahead of time.
I watched this again to see if I'd have a more positive reaction, and overall, I didn't, except I noticed how good the direction and cinematography are, with a lot of visual symbolism playing with the idea of fish reaching for stars. This has Neo in it, so I'll watch the rest of it, but it's too formulaic for me so far. Also, I think Mork is pretty special, and I've always liked Phuwin. I did like how the guy he's texting who is obviously Mork listed over 100 things wrong with him. That was funny. Also, why did they use the Mork actor for the texter? Wouldn't it be more interesting if it were played by Mix because that's who he's fantasizing about?
But I can't stand it when they show the ending in the very first scene! Now when that happens it will be "whatever" instead of the climax of the romance. Why do they keep doing that? Can you image how devastating and powerful UWWA would have been if you didn't know THE THING THAT HAPPENED until much later in the story instead of the first scene?
You mean Ep 7? I agree - it didn't delve into either character's emotions in the huge flashback, which left me…
Exactly - and even if he did have a strong reaction, we needed to understand why he got over it with the flip of a switch. When the episode aired of him crying, I assumed there was something big we didn't know, like they were lovers or Sib had done something awful to him in the past, or at least was led to believe that was the case by mean-looking father (who was so nice in 1,00 stars!)
You mean Ep 7? I agree - it didn't delve into either character's emotions in the huge flashback, which left me…
But it could have. You have some advantags in te visual formal that novels don't have - that's the problem with only setting novels and not writing original screenplays. The people filming the story seem to forget that it's not a novel and we can't read the character's minds. I got that Gene was upset at being lied to which made him question everything else. What wasn't clear was why he had THAT big a meltdown, and if he did get that upset, we needed to see him processing it so it wasn't so jarring when he immediately got over it.
You mean Ep 7? I agree - it didn't delve into either character's emotions in the huge flashback, which left me wondering why Gene got so upset if they were just friends, and why if Gene was so upset that he completely got over it instantly with no processing. I'm hoping the show starts moving in some direction this ep - it's trying to be a satire while also being a very conventional BL - it looks like it might get more satirical this ep, but it may also just use the shippers to manufacture a crisis in their relationship. We'll see very shortly.
But it was made pretty obvious on last week's episode when he was talking on the phone. We needed this to happen…
I think Prab is completely aware of his feelins for Chon. He goes nuts with jealousy whenever anyone shows interest in him and is always smiling lovingly at him. He may feel he can't act on his feelings because of the family relationship, and he doesn't seem to know Chon has feelings for him. I could be totally wrong - this show has already fooled me a few times.
I was actually hoping Nick would finally have enough of Prab this episode and move on. He’s such a good sport,…
I think there's a lot of confusion because there are two teachers that have shown an interest in Maping. One is the one that's been in the series a lot, who seems to just want to help Maping - he was too hard on him intially and felt bad. The other teacher who warned him touched Maping inappropriately, so his warning was more like "hand off, he's mine." Or at least that's how I saw it. If I were to guess, I'd say bad teacher will do something bad and good teacher will rescue Maping. But I could be totally wrong. This show hasn't been too predictable. Maybe it will end up as "We can't do this. You turn 18 in 3 months. I've already made the hotel reservations." I doubt they'll go anywhere unethical with this - it's not that sort of series.
Thwe weekly episode was surprising and cool, Although usually I don't like the second couple I did like them now…
I thought it was almost revolutionary that he got upset and jealous, went to cool down for an hour, then came back and apologized for overreacting. I don't think that's ever happened in the history of BL. There wasn't even a montage of all the good times they spend together.
It's kind of fun to have a series where every single member of the student body AND the faculty and alumni are gay and it's taken for granted that everyone is pursuing boys. I realize Chon's dad is straight - allegedly - but I've got my eye on him. He and that teacher would make a nice couple...
