The actors in BL are more vulnerable, though, and the main issue in this is not shipping, it's sexual harassment.
They hire a lot of people who are 17-18. For some people acting is their passion - for many others, it's pocket money for college. Nobody should have to give up their goals.
Mean quit BL after he was successful because he could - he's an established actor. Would he have when he was just starting out?
Oddly enough, I was also sexually harassed when I was 19, by of all things, an Italian musicologist who was a visiting lecturer at my college. It took a little work to disengage from the situation, but he didn't try to force me, and treated me no differently after that. This series reflects a situation in which a Thai actor was denied work for turning down a producer. That's much worse.
And in my case, it didn't occur to me that's what he wanted because I was young and naive, but in retrospect it did look a lot like we were on a date, and that's probably what he was hoping it was. In your case, you could quit to avoid a repitition, but by then he'd already attacked you. If you had been who you are today, I'm guessing there would have been a different outcome for him.
In other words, sometimes you can't get out of a situation if you don't know there IS a situation - until it's too late - and you're a lot less likely to identify a bad situation when you're 17 than when you're 30.
Personally, I love being objectified. Or I did love it when it used to happen. Sigh.If people could just take…
The internet tells me that an new actor makes 50,000 per hour for an event, which is about $1,600/hour, but I think that's for mainstream drama actors, so probably less for a BL newcomer, maybe more for one of the bigger stars. A list of highest-paid drama actors had the lowest at 70,000 Baht per ep, and that's for the super-popular lakorns. An entry-level BL actor probably makes a small fraction of that. The internet says the average actor salary equates to about 349 baht/hour, or $11, so I'm going to guestimate 30,000 for a series, or $800. That could be totally wrong, but it sounds like they make far more from events than they do for acting in the series.
Something like a GMMTV series probably attracts large crowds to events, but it's hard to imagine there were any Cupid Coach events, so for a lot of the amateur actors, getting cast in a low-end BL is likely the equivalent of working as a waiter in a diner for spending money when you're in college.
So in the CC example, Nite 1 probably just had other things going on when production resumed and couldn't be bothered. The pay he'd get for just a couple more episodes is so small it wouldn't be worth the hassle. Tae on the other hand, was cast in another production of the company, so that's probably the reason why he was the only actor who came back.
Let's all decide not respond to any poisonous attacks - this forum is friendly and rational. I went over to BL…
I'd never heard ot BL Tea Cafe until all these people showed up to attack someone who posted one sentence that didn't even mention the site.
That anyone even thinks this has anything to do with me or anyone else being an Aam fan points to all this being way too important to you. This show is on the World of BL schedule, I watched it like I watch the first ep of everything, and I really liked it, so I'm going to watch the rest. That's all there is to it.
Read the posts above and below and tell me they don't sound unhinged.
Let's all decide not respond to any poisonous attacks - this forum is friendly and rational. I went over to BL…
Well, you just followed someone somewhere to scream at them, so I'm not sure how you define toxic, and I'm not sure how cowardly it is to post in a discussion forum, which is what you're doing. In fact we're all doing it. Are we supposed to post videos and give out our personal details or something?
I had second thought before watching too. But now I kept screaming due to the main couple's cheesiness hahahaha.…
Sometimes Prab is so sweet and wonderful to Chon that I actually have an emotional reaction - that doesn't happen to me much except in the very best BLs.
I still can't believe the fight between the boring couple - nothing like that has ever happened in a BL before. Seriously - one hour of cooling down, an apology for overreacting, discussion, problem solved. I was really thinking "Oh great, now we waste 10 minutes on a flashback montage of all the good times they've had doing boring things followed by 2-3 eps of sulking."
Yes, definitelty, if you like people being good to each other. This has almost nothing dark in it, and where it…
I think the intro would be less objectionable without the teacher - but they're just shirtless and not doing anything remotely sexual, so I never really noticed it as something that might bother people.
Anyway, I think this show is unique. Cupid Coach was along similar lines about talking through conflict and solving problems, but it's not nearly as well-produced and coherent as this is.
A lot of people refuse to watch it because they're stepbrothers. It's not like they're going to have a two-headed baby or something. I don't even know if they'll end up together.
I think you are wrong about the budget, it's have bigger budget than a lot of others series, that is why they…
I've notice a lot of people object to the shirtless thing - why is that disturbing? They should probably have not included the teacher, but it's just cute, not sexual. it's less sexual than when Prab came out of the shower glistening and Chon gave him the slo-mo lookover to the porn soundtrack.
In the last scenes the got back on track, but the first part was really dragging. That scene in the clinic with…
The clinic scene was OK, but it would have been better if they'd condensed it. Also, that's not how getting your wisdom teeth out works. Or at least not since the 19th c.
I don't like the way Pi is treating Mork either, but a large part of it is cause he is jealous of Mork , he is…
I'm OK with Pi being immature and jealous, but he's being too rude. Mork gave him a very sincere apology, and he should have the basic manners to accept it. He could have done that and decline to be friends and not seemed quite as awful.
I'm hoping the theme will be that his problem is he's unattractive on the inside, and he needs to work on that.
If you want fluffy, Brothers is about as fluffy as it gets. I don't like fluffy and it's my favorite BL airing at the moment. It's not the BEST BL airing, but I love it.
Maybe his secret friend is his mom (now THAT would be funny). Or the older brother we haven't met yet.
Okay. So this series is based on a bunch of crap that happened during 2Moons2 (and probably a number of other…

If people could just take fanservice as good fun, it would be fine - but it's become this weird twilight zone where people of normal intelligence lose the ability to distinguish between fantasy and reality.
It BL actors were highly-paid, I would just shrug. But they're not, and they're vulnerable to exploitation. And since they are paid almost nothing, they have to do the fanservice to make any money. It's not an easy problem to solve, but it doesn't look like anyone is trying.
Actually I didn't thought , I liked it that much....this brings a total different Vibe to the BL-Genre in Thailand.…
It's based on two different real experiences of the director. None of it is "real" as it's fictionalized and the events changed, but I think the themes are about common issues in the BL industry.
A couple of weeks ago Mew Suppasit Jongcheveevat released a music video that was judged by Jaehyun's fans to be…
I don't even know who Jaehyun is, altohugh image searching him seems to indicate he's a person who changes his hair every day, if not more frequently than that. searching "jaehyun shirtless" was not disappointing, I must say.
I am, however, a music major and composer. No art is original. It is all inspired by others and built on what has come before. I wouldn't be surprised if both Mew and Jaehyun were inspired by some third source, or by the pop music scene in general. Since they're writing in different languages, if there are similarities in the lyrics, it doesn't seem likely there was any plagarism going on.
Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata was inspiried by the Commendatore's death scene in Mozart's opera Don Giovanni. I doubt rabid Mozart fans went nuts over it. But it's a good thing they weren't in today's world or Constanze Mozart would be cyberbullied by all the Mozart-Salieri shippers.
give me the discord link...so I can cuss the shit out of their delusional asses
OMG, you are the best - that cracked me up. I went over to BL Tea Cafe and I need to be decontaminated like in those movies where people are exposed to radiation or some deadly virus from outer space. It's really gross.
