*insert Adachi surprise sound here* Did we miss an episode or something??? WTF? How did we get from where the…
It was love at first sight for me with Richard Lee, and his pairing literally got no screen time until the very last scene, which was a huge WTF for me. I didn't even know they were together.
This was bad. The acting, superb. Costume design, best I've ever seen. Story, what story? I didn't even know the pair at the end were a pair! This was a meandering mess that didn't know what it wanted to be. In the end, we got some strange fan service to try to make everyone forget how pointless this season was.
Since when did Pei Shou Yi have a disassociative disorder? What even happened between him and Zhen Xuan at the end? We got a powerful and wonderfully delivered good-bye monologue from Zhen Xuan, and then essentially a "never mind!"
Unless the 3rd season rewinds and shows us Zhe Yu and Bing Wei's story, I can't think of anything that I'd want to see.
I can't say I hated this, because it had some nice things in it, but it was a wasted opportunity and a letdown after the excellent first season.
I love this! I laughed a lot watching this episode. I am in love with the couple already, so I will enjoy this…
I thought Pond was handsome in the trailer, but in this ep he's just - yikes. He's such a prince that my eyes would water whenever he was on screen because he was so kind, caring, thoughtful and what he looks like doesn't hurt...
He does have good comic timing - Neo (his brother) is also really good a comedy, so it helps to be playing off…
I love Neo so much. I hope he has a bigger role in this than he had in Tonhon, where I thought he totally stole the show. All the acting in this is really good so far. Pond is just... yikes. More than his looks it's the presence he has. Even though Mork is very reserved, you can almost see into him and know what wonderful person he is.
I'm actually really not a fan of changing the way you look to get someones attention or love just because of that…
I got the impression that what he really needs is be be more beautiful on the inside, and that Mork will be the person to bring that out in him. He may actually become more obnoxious if people are suddenly paying him more attention because he's better styled, and find himself sadder than he was to begin with.
Most people are not completely "awful" and worthy of hatred or "perfect" and worthy of glory. Most of us fall…
I think the theme will be inner beauty, and Mork will bring it out in Pi - but I think the writing made him a little too unpleasant so that there's not any particular reason for Mork to like him, unless it's purely physical, which wouldn't fit the theme, or because he feels sorry for him, which is not the best basis for a relationship. Or he likes dorks, but if he's going to be de-dorked next episode, that doen't really work as a motivation either.
It's a negative quality to hate someone because they're friends with your crush, even though he's really nice to you, to accuse your brother of tricking you when he's trying to help - I just don't see any balancing redeeming qualities.
I totally get his thinking Mork set him up for ridicule (I thought that was well-written), but Mork gave him an extremely sincere apology - if someone like him looked at me like that at that age I'd probably collapse into a puddle and have to be mopped off the floor.
I think we needed to see something more than a 2D self-loathing jerk - self-loathing is necessary to the story and the character, but I needed something to connect with other than his obvious looks and the fact that he's the protagonist.
Also, the piano tuner was here while I was watching it, and the relentless pinging and our traumatized dog howling all the way through the process probably made Pi irritate me more than he would have.
I was really looking forward to this show, and I'm pretty sure from this episode that I will enjoy it quite a bit - but I wish writers would be more subtle and stop with the extremes.
Mix also had that club outfit going for him. Yikes.
I'm definitely tired of the college setting, but this first episode was pretty well done. Pi is kind of annoying…
KIND of annoying is like saying getting cancer is kind of inconvenient. I actually hate him. I think maybe we're supposed to, and the message of the story is that if you're ugly on the inside, nobody will be attracted to youn on the outside.
Notice that nobody has criticized his actual physical looks, just hs styling and personality characteristics.
Off to a good start, I would say. However there’s something that I am not a fan of, which wouldn’t affect…
Thai humor is broad, to put it kindly. Dark or dry humor can work well in a drama, but the slapstick in the Thai shows is jarring, and feels to me like it's for children. Vietnamese humor is more accessible to me, but I like it dark & dry.
Is anyone not already in love with Mork? And can we talk about Neo's legs? I don't remember that from Tonhon Chonlatee, and he was the only thing watchable in that for me.
I like the actor a lot, but I really find Pi to be loathesome and self-absorbed. He hasn't shown any redeeming qualities. He hates Mork, who has been unfailingly kind to him just because he's friends with Mix and Pi has made himself misunderstand the situation, he's really not pleasant to anyone, ungrateful to my precious Neo... I just don't see what there is to like about him.
Pond is just a prince - he has an aristocratic grace and serenity that would be totally believable as an actual prince. Wow, where has this guy been? Grade A+ leading man material.
And that crazy foreshadowing with the random lady that was staring at Kaow and Khun. Did she just hate seeing…
Isn't it garden boy's mother? She was a little disturbed at the teacher being so close to her son. But that doesn't really make sense, although she works at the mall.
This series is quite a bit different than the others, because there's a huge age difference and they've been a…
The forbidden quality certainly has an illicit appeal. I wonder if some of the strong reactions are because they feel it and don't think they should. I'm sure it's different for everyone. For me, if someone tried to make me have sex with my brother, I'd become physically ill. Watching fictional brothers do it is a different thing.
I couldn't help but respond to your bathtub scene comment. In my opinion, there was nothing 'infernal' or 'inappropriate'…
I think that the best images are one where people disagree over what it means. If something is art, then people should see different things in it, and nobody's really wrong. We can probably agree that scene was art.

I agree, Neo has already gotten sexy - in 5 years I'll feel pain in my chest whenever he's on my screen.
