I'd give GSP an 11 if I could, and GB, HS, and Quaranthings were all way better than any Thai BL ever made. But not this one - this is awful. I don't think it has to do with Filipino vs Thai, although judging by the high score that Oxygen has, a lot of people like the Thai formula. Filipino BL has a much higher level of passion and creativity, but I'm not seeing any of that here - this is full of tired BL tropes and the acting is actively bad.

What you missed is that there are a lot of people that somehow enjoy robots interacting. Actually, that would be more interesting than this. Maybe wait till it's over and hope for a PhuKao cut.

Ep 6 of Gaya sa Pelikula was light and happy, but I was in tears all the way through it. The acting is stellar and I felt everthing the characters felt. They should rename Oxygen "Android Love" or maybe "Xenon" - an inert gas. I keep hoping for Hydrogen. They could mix it with Oxygen and then at least something interesting would happen.

Kao was looking pretty good in the wet t-shirt, I must say.

I'm surprised they went in the water at all. If you judge by BL, Asians instantly fall deathly ill when water touches them.

Khem is adorable and the actor playing him is better than most on this show. Maybe he'll get Dr Perth.

How about Khem and Perth? Both of them have been used and abused by Petch - they might make a nice couple.

I actually like Khem, and I hope he gets something interesting to do. The actor seems to have some ability. But most likely they'll just waste him on the stupidest and least interesting storyline that's ever been written.

I thought it was a good episode too, but I think it was because the actress playing Big Momma was so, so good that I was instantly deeply invested in her character and very moved by her. But then the last few minutes were ruined by Gui's cartoonish sobbing - that was probably the fault of the sound editing, but still, I don't now what they were thinking. His stiff upper lip routine at the temple was more appropriate and a stronger reaction.

Good-looking isn't enough, though. I don't think either actor has any experience and is shows. The only positive thing I can say is that they're certainly not OVER-acting. I am absolutely astonished that anyone could rate this as a ten, or think Solo & Gui have good chemistry. I suppose mixing room temperature distilled water from two beakers is technically chemistry... Phu is also supposed to be a stoic character, but the actor is talented and so you can feel what's going on beneath the flat exterior, and Kao is an annoying person, but also played by a good actor, so he manages to make annoying charming - I think the problem is the writing. A character who's lost his smile can work on paper, but not in live action. Plus , if you have the character show no expressions, he looks like a serial killer or an android.

I can't believe how high the ratings are - I can usually understand why people like things that I don't care much for, but not in this case - the main pair actors are so bad it's hard to believe anyone is invested in their characters. They're not even bad in an entertaining way, just totally lifeless. I do enjoy Phu & Kao, but they're not in it enough to really make the viewing experience worthwhile.

It's over-scored (meaning there's too much music - you don't need it every single second. Also, it's boring as f#$% with no characters that I care about. The acting is bad.

Both! But Tan is more my thing. Tin is very pretty, and I like him with Sea (who isn't hard on the eyes either).

I think I do enjoy it as much. I actually feel a little like a pedophile because I'm head over heels in love with Tan and he's barely legal. He's so beautiful it actually hurts sometimes.

The plot is frankly a little too slow-paced, and I'm not a big fan of flashbacks within flashbacks, but the show is more subtle and psychological than your typical BL, and it's interesting to see the issue of class difference explored - generally all the characters in a BL are rich, or nobody pays any attention to class, but that's not how the real world works.

The actors are very young, so I dooubt we'll get to see much physical love, so I'm bracing for disappointment on that front, but anyway, this is one of my top BLs at the moment.

He looks like that except his hair, which looks a lot lighter in this. I like it darker.

I think you're right about that - he does look like he's had a nose job or three.

I think he lied. He also said the black dress Ken's mother was wearing in the trailer had no significance. Fat chance. Someone sitting around getting drunk alone wearing a black dress is most certainly significant. I'm not criticizing him - there's no way he's going to give away a twist like that - NOBODY expected it. I thought all the foreshadowing meant a death was coming, but I thought it would be Shake, not Ken (and probably also Shake). I didn't expect it, but once it happened it was perfect. I think this goes towards the top of the list of BLs, and is another home run by the Filpino BL machine - what an incredible year.

I'm not trying to justify what she did, I'm saying it's relatable and made sense for her character. Everyone is out to make her Hitler when she's a teenager.

How about Ken? Sandee outed Ken, but Ken killed Shake with his reckless driving. Is Sandee worse than that? Is Sandee to blame?

Absolutely not. He behaved poorly in response to a situation just like Sandee did - but he had no right to put Shake's life in such serious danger just because he was upset.

I have to differ with you on one point - friendship IS an obligation, not a book you can take off a shelf, put back, and ignore. If you think that friends are not entitled to your time and attention, they're not friends, they're acquaintances. If they had just felt like doing their own thing for 2 weeks, that's no big deal - but if she's been trying to contact him for 2 weeks and he's been ignoring her, that's not OK. I have never in my life done that.

I have a serious problem with statements like "Could not the stupid bitch wait till Ken goes home when the weekend is over? Did she have to order him home at once? Idiot cow." and "What she did is pure evil". No it wasn't. It was selfish and spiteful, not evil. And there is no place, ever, for misogyny like that - I haven't heard one single other person object to a woman being called a stupid bitch and an idiot cow.
