I'm on episode 2, and Tin said he went to college. And he just was in an art class, in college, and talking to…
I don't doubt it, but I watched it weekly and had no recollection of it at the end because it didn't really come up after the beginning. He does occassionally have a white college shirt on, but that's about it.
the way Kim Hyunwoo (Choi Jun) is carrying this drama on his back is insane lolMost people were interested bc…
Agree about Choi Jun, and he's a good actor, too. I'm curious to see the manwha, and whether or not it's this bad, and if it is, one has to wonder why it was adapted.
If it's so bad why have you watched 6 episodes of this?
Because Choi Jun is hot. It's the only reason for me. I keep interested because I'm trying to figure out how it's possible for anyone to be that beautiful. Other than that, this series doesn't have a lot going for it, which is a pity because it had a strong start.
Since I have nothing new to say about the plot or pacing AGAIN this week. Here is a character analysis of Lee…
You are totally off with this one and giving Lee Jun way too much credit. :)
I would love it if it turns out Lee Jun isn't clueless and is in fact an evil manipulator and all of this is a plot to take over the company. But that's impossible because it would assign too much agency to an uke, who is lucky if he doesn't accidentally slash an artery trying to tie his shoes. That sounds exaggerated, but I've seen one cut himself with a butter knife.
I think because it's a remake of a series they really liked. Some actors have exceptionally fanatical followers,…
Interesting - I felt that way about Fighter & Tutor, especially Tutor. They deserve credit for really going for it in the physical scenes, but there's something insincere about Saint that I can't get past.
wtf why is everyone in the comments hating on this?!?! I fell in love right after the first episode, seriously!…
I think because it's a remake of a series they really liked. Some actors have exceptionally fanatical followers, and they'd never accept this series because it's different. I didn't like it, except for the Zon & Saifah storyline, which was unfortunately torpedoed by COVID.
I think "insufferable" is the best word to describe this series. Nothing makes sense. First Choi Jun lets Lee Jun think he's engaged for several episodes, then when both he and his "fiancee" have explained that they're not, Lee Jun still acts as though Choi Jun is engaged.
Do writers not get out much anymore? It might help to meet some actual human beings so they can get a sense of how people of our species behave, and then use that knowledge to create characters that make sense.
The only thing keeping this barely watchable is Choi Jun, both for his ridiculous hotness and the wonderful jealous expressions he manages - genuinely funny and well-done.
They both did wrong. The difference is that one clearly felt guilty about it and tried to stop multiple times…
You could argue that Nuea should have confronted him or cut him off, but he did neither. Lom is clearly much more to blame for the miscommunication, but the action taken was Nuea's. Lom didn't get him drunk and seduce him, Nuea came uninvited and of his own free will to Lom's room.
I think 'emotional torture' is too strong - they were not involved, they were in a professional setting, and it wasn't months, it was a couple of weeks. If they were a couple and Lom behaved that way, I'd be the first person to demand he be strung up - but Nuea was playing with a dangerous situation and he knew better.
The central problem, though, is that the writing is terrible and there is no consistency or logic to the way people behave or react to things, which is why I can't say you're wrong - it's 100% valid to interpret it in wildly different ways because if nothing makes sense you end up having to fill in the blanks yourself.
I'll give you a personal example - I was on a business trip, and there was a party at by boyfriend's place (this was when I was much younger and he had 3 roommates), and an ex of mine was there. My bf had a bit to drink and went to bed. My ex entered his room and the inevitable happened. Fortunately I didn't find out right away, but when I did, I felt hurt - by the ex. My bf was drunk and the ex was so hot that when he came after you, you were giving in, period, and I'm not sure I can say I wouldn't have done the same thing - but my ex knew what he was doing, knew it was awful, and did it anyway, and that really hurt.
Maybe that's why I see Nuea as the more guilty party, and your personal experiences may point you the other way.
Can someone who likes this series explain to me what I'm missing? What do you like about it? The only answer that makes sense to me is "Lom's black t-shirt". There is no energy to anything except the mothers, I don't feel an chemistry between the leads, although I give them points for not holding back in the love scene, which, while weird, I give points to for trying something other than the seme pinning one or both of the uke's hands over his head and kissing his way down.
I don't hate it, and it's not terrible, but it's really dull, and the writing is quite poor. People don't have authentic reactions, by which I don't mean the acting, which is fine, I mean that the way people react doens't really make sense or follow what they're reacting to. Because of the lack of a coherent cause-> effect chain, it's hard to connect with the chracters because they're not behaving like real people.

He was sober and still slept with a man he believed to be taken - there's no getting around that being the worst thing anyone has done in this series so far.
this week's translator /subtitler is giving summer intern vibes :D
The result would have been better if they'd run it through DeepL. A few mistakes here and there are fine, but getting the persons wrong (like using "your" when it should be "his", which they did at just about every opportunity).
It seems a characteristic of BL that the writer forgets she had a plot after the first couple of episodes and the story meanders aimlessly.

Also, built on lies is a bit strong since all four people involved know the situation and agree to it.
They can do artificial insemination. I hope.
