People are watching FirstKhao making out on repeat, otherwise part 4 of ep 2 wouldn't have more views than 2 and…
That's interesting, I thought it was so passionless that it made me uncomfortable to watch it and I ff'ed through it.

πŸ‘€Am I the only one around these parts who wants Mew to genuinely be who is presenting himself to be? I want…
Why? It's a drama - what's the point of a boring couple? It's... boring. I've started ff through their scenes unless Force has his shirt off, which I have a hard time looking away from.

They don't really have any potential to be interesting. If Top sleeps with Boston, Mew, if his character is consistent, would have nothing to do with him whatsoever and could not be won back over, so that's not going to happen - so where can they go? I want something cute that just stands around not doing anything I'll buy a chinchilla.

i want to enjoy the Ray Sand couple but they are boring me, I'm just not feeling it. I just feel no sincerity?…
I agree about Ray & Sand. I think part of it is the couple is stale - when you have the same actors playing essentially the same characters over and over, I imagine it's hard for them to stay interested too.

I don't agree about Mew - I find his character tiresome and ridiculous. He's a man in his 20s, not a junior high school student. In Victorian England. For him to make Top eat a cookie out of his mouth than act like Top propositioned him for BDSM because he gave him a peck on the cheek was absurd, and the boundaries he's setting are way, way too restrictive. To me he's everything that's wrong with the uke-seme thing. They're written as entirely different genders instead of both being men. Why does Top have to court him? Why don't they just go on dates and get to know each other like normal people? Why would someone like Top put up with him? I don't buy it. The are really cute when cuddling, though.

The only couple that does anything for me are Neo & Mark, who have the most interesting characters and I think are the two best actors - and are on fire. I think First & Khaotung are good, just not so much in this series. Maybe it's the directing.

It's an interesting subject - I suspect the answer is as simple as one sounds better than the other to enough people that it catches on.

I'm sorry, but Mew & Top are redious (except for when Top has his shirt off, which will never get old). Mew was making Top eat a cookie between his lips, and then freaks out when Top gives him a kiss on the cheek. Is a kiss on the cheek the equiavalent of a blow-job in Thai culture or something? Whay does everyone always make a huge deal out of something you do with your grandmother? They are good at cuddling, though.

What exactly were Boston & Nick doing in the second part? They were whacking it and then came, sat up, and were wearing underwear. Did they just soil their underwear for no apparent reason? I realize they can't show them naked and hard, but they could have had a coffee table between them and the camera or something.

I seem to be in a minority, but I'm not feeling First & Khao at all. The dynamic between them and the dialogue are good, but the romantic chemistry isn't there for me - it was even a little uncomfortable to watch them kissing.

The only couple that's really doing it for me is Neo & Mark - they are amazing and really good actors. Mark played crushing & pretending not to be in a semi-transparent way pitch-perfect.

I think First and Khao are good, but it's stale - I think maybe from being paired too much together - there's only so many times you can play the same dynamic before your enthusiasm wanes.

Mew isn't really a milquetoast - that's someone meek and easily dominated. He's shy and innocent, but it's not the same because he draws boundaries and defends them. Not everyone would put the brakes on Top. I would have been on my knees for two weeks the minute he said he wanted me if I were in Mew's place.

I want to ask something - if I am not get killed - I am just curious ... Why FirtsKhao? not KhaoFirst? If we are…
In English at least, a word describing the order of something goes in front, so "second marriage" not "marriage second". But in a more active statement, it's the other way - like on the Titanic "women and children first." So FirstKhao sounds normal and flows, while KhaoFirst sounds like Khao goes first, which is not the point of a ship name.

Also, F comes before K in the alphabet. In Oxygen there was Phu & Kao, which was PhuKao, which sounds pleasantly amusing to a native speaker because Moocow is a word children might use to refer to a cow, and it's from a famous line in James Joyce's 'A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man'.

In other words, I'm horrendously overthinking it, but I blame you because you asked.

Does anyone know what order the names are in in Thai?

I can totally see why people questioning rating because I logged in last night it has 7.7 with 275 users and also…
If you click on the graph icon to the right of the rating, it shows the vote by age category, and there you can see that the average is actually about 8.5, which is extremely high - but for some reason MDL's algorithm pushes it way below that. So fear not, almost everyone feels as you do about the series.

Perth Chimon chemistry in the series is insane. They never show too much skin ship in real life, so I thought…
For a lot of couples, they're chemistry is all in the "skin ship" and not in the drama, so if you haven't seen the BTS you don't understand why anyone thinks they have any chemistry. In the case of Chimon & Perth, you're dealing with real professionals with real talent and ability, and it makes all the difference in the world. It doesn't hurt that Perth's skin actually glows.

Hello no one romanticizing bullying on this series, there is more to watch in this series and the main character…
Everyone should leave everyone, because every human being that's ever lived has done something bad in their lives, even Jesus - who incidentally bullied the merchants in the temple. I guess we should start demolishing churches and shaming Christians for worshipping a hypocritical bully. And don't get me started on who big a bully God is in Judeo-Christian religion. What did the first-born Egyptian baby's ever do to anyone? How can we glorify anyone so terrible?

I don't get it when people think that fiction is reality or that the audience is so morally moronic that they can't tell the difference or that they'll suddenly think bullying is OK because someone did it in a piece of light entertainment,

Welcome to being a boy. Some bullying is really just hazing and is a normal part of socialization. Bullying can…
OK, but read the statistics for the number of people that commit suicide after not being bullied - it's much higher. And it does matter if you're a boy or a girl because the way boys and girls bully is different.

You seem to be confusing a fictional drama to reality. Whether or not I like or dislike this series has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with being sensitive to people who are bullied, and I really don't understand how you don't make that distinction. Are you saying nobdy is ever allowed to be racist in a drama? Sexist? Kill someone? Get drunk? Drive recklessly? Why are you watching a drama? By their nature they will feature people behaving badly.

You're whole essay above is just stating the obvious and really has nothing to do with the story. Do you think a bunch of BL fans are going to start bullying people because it appears in the story, or think it's OK? What is your point? Nobody here is saying that bullying is OK, but it sound like you're saying that foregiveness is not acceptable either.

Also, it is more than a little arrogant to make assumptions about my experinence, I'm a gay man who grew up in the 1970s and 80s, so I had to deal with a level of bullying likely inconceivable to most people today - at least now it's socially unacceptable instead of encouraged by adults in authority.
On Dangerous Romance Aug 19, 2023
The beautiful directing and editing of the opening scene sold me. Perth & Chimon's fantastic acting raises it to an even higher level, to the point that I can overlook the horrendously overdone and breathtakingly unoriginal plot.

One thing that was hard to accept was Perth picking the one occupied table in the cafeteria and displacing the group of girls there. That is so lacking in class and any sense of decency that if they continue that it will be hard to accept his redemption arc and the only satisfying ending will be his utter humiliation and defeat. Dramas like this often go too far with the "enemies" portion of the story and it puts off the audience - I can see from the below that this is the case here, and it's understandable.

it doesn't matter if the bully falls in love and doesn't bully his partner anymore. a bully is still a bully.…
Welcome to being a boy. Some bullying is really just hazing and is a normal part of socialization. Bullying can of course be destructive, even fatally destructive, but there are degrees. It's like saying slapping someone across the face is the same as murder.

Also, does bullying cause the disorders you described, or do the disorders invite the bullying? That doesn't change the morality of bullying, but it does change the effects on the victim.

The bullying is not romanticized. Romanticizing it would mean Sailom wants Kanghan because he's a bully and the bullying is portrayed as a positive characteristic. It absolutely isn't.

Kanghan is a villain and the series will be a redemption arc. You can't have drama if everyone is perfect. In that case, all you have is 8 hours of tedious fluff, and some people prefer there to be a story and chracter development. If someone prefers 8 hours of fluff, there is Meow Ears Up.

What I found difficult to accept is Kanghan selecting the one occupied table in the cafeteria and dsiplacing the girls sitting there. That is sort of irredeemable - they aren't a challenge to his position. Exerting power over someone challenging you is one thing, purposeless assholery is another.

love seeing these two together and I know some people moan it's toxic but bro it's only just begun and the premise…
The word "toxic" is so overused that it's become meaningless. It's now "If Jesus, Buddha, and Ghandi were on a committee, would they vote against this behavior?" People are flawed, and I would love to see how perfect the people who throw this word around are.

Also, if everyone is perfectly behaved, there could be no such thing as drama. "Why was Othello so jealous? Toxic." "Don Juan was a user. Toxic." "That whale swallowed a puppet. Toxic.' "Darth Vader was a bad parent. Toxic."
On My Personal Weatherman Aug 19, 2023
I liked that - the dynamic is interesting, and it looks like there's a radical diffference in their "love language" - one needs to hear it, the other shows it in his actions. We're meant to see the anchorman as cold and unloving, but he's not at all.

Anyway, I'm into it.

There was a BL, and I can't remember which one, where an uke managed to cut himself with a butter knife. You'd need to saw away at yourself for 20 minutes to cut yourself with a butter knife, yet he managed. I'm surprised they don't accidentally garrotte themselves trying to tie their shoes.
