Tai shouldn't have lied, but he was afraid Patts would react exactly as he did, and lying was 1% as bad as what…
Tai was in the wrong, but nothing, repeat nothing Tai did is remotely as bad as physically assaulting someone. Has Patts shown himself to be calm and cool? He's been glaring death at Lomfon all series, and he violently assaulted him. That's not calm and cool, it's attempted murder.
And he shouldn't have to reassure Patts - he's already committed himself to him and told him he loves him. Yes, he could have anyway, but if you had just watched your bf try to kill someone, you might not be in the mood to make any concessions.
I don't even count that as a SaC, and you KNOW how I feel about those. Because they were kind of wrestling, plus,…
It was implied almost to the point of being explicit that he was having that reaction. I agree, that was one of the most original things I've seen in a BL forever.
Why is everyone stuck on Tai lying when Patts punched Lomfon as hard as he could in the head a dozen times? That's so much worse than Tai lying that it's imcomprehensible that everyone is more upset over a lie than something that should earn Patts a 25-year prison sentence.
Be honest with yourselves - would you feel safe with a man after watching him try to murder someone over very little? I think the production is consistent in it's laziness by having Lomfon come out of that without a scratch when he would most likely be in a coma or dead and look like he'd been through a meat grinder.
But that shouldn't change the fact that Patts is murderously violent and has no self-control and Tai should steer clear of him.
Shouldn't the writing be the cheapest part of a production? Think about hiring all the actors, the lighting, editing, etc. These are all adapted from bad novels, so the expenditure must be close to nil.
Why was it black with white flowers? That's so funereal that it's more of a death threat than a romantic gesture. Although it looked very Deco with his outfit.
I need ONE person to tell Tai that he's in the wrong please for lying to Phat and mocking the soulmate thingamajig…
He's in the wrong, but is anyone going to press charges against Patts for trying to murder Lomfon? What he did is 1,000 times worse than lying. I'm a little amazed that almost everyone here thinks lying is worse than attempted murder.
Another week, another episode with Tai spending most of it quiet and staring at nothing.Mom got married again,…
Oh my gosh - I was stuck on what terrible and lazy writing for Patts to show up at just the precise second for him to misunderstand, and didn't think about how he could possibly know Tai was there - that's really funny. Awful.
The fact that Tai was waiting on Patts to call or text him first just shows that he’s not taking ANY responsibility…
Did Patts apologize to Lomfon for trying to beat him to death? Is he taking responsibility for his actions? Tai never showed even the slightest interest in Lomfon, yet he has zero trust in Tai's love for him and demanded he express it to him, moments after committing attempted murder, then again when drunk. Tai was wrong to lie, but are you equating that with Patts' violent attack? I don't think Tai owes Patts anything at all - he's a dangerous psycho.
Tai shouldn't have lied, but he was afraid Patts would react exactly as he did, and lying was 1% as bad as what…
He should not have lied - I don't dispute that was wrong. But Patt's violent reaction was so much worse than that, and I'm not sure why people are having a hard time seeing that. Patts didn't just punch Lomfon, or slap him, which we can all probably understand - he tried to beat him to death, and if this were real life Lomfon would have been killed or severely injured by that attack.
And he didn't do it because of the lying - he did it because of a kiss that was obviously not reciprocated. His anger (but not violence) should have been directed at Tai, not Lomfon, who is a teenager, not an experienced adult like Patts and Tai.
On top of that, he demanded, of someone who has already committed himself, that he tell him he chooses Patts, when Tai has never shown the slightest sign of liking Lomfon - so isn't it Patts that's insecure? Have you seen Patts apologize to Lomfon? Who isn't taking responsibility for what they did here? At least Tai apologized.
Patts murderous jealousy was almost totally unmotivated, and a gigantic red flag. What happens if Patts misunderstands something again in the future and thinks Tai has cheated on him? I would break up with Patts and never look back after what he did. Tai made a mistake, Patts committed a major crime and could be imprisoned for decades if Lomfon were interested in pressing charges.
The writing on this is utter garbage - something like Physical Therapy had writing was passively terrible, but this is aggressively awful. Is there anyone here who wasn't dead certain Patts would show up at just the right second to misinterpret something? Ugh. The writer only has one trick up her sleeve and she's going to use it 100 times in one drama. I can't even watch Tai & Patts anymore - it's so stupid and lazy. Even dropping the gift on the ground - its not just a stupid lazy plot device but identical each time.
Lomfon & Tien are still good though - it's like the writer has a much more talented assistant that she subcontracted out the subplot to, and as miserable as the Patts & Tai story is, the acting is still good, but it's just not enough anymore. I'd live to see Pee & Title in something else - hopefully a story that can leverage Pee's comedic talents.

Tai shouldn't have lied, but he was afraid Patts would react exactly as he did, and lying was 1% as bad as what Patts did, so I have no problem with him waiting on Patts, especially since Tai broke up with him - what should he do? He made his position clear, and it's up to Patts to repair what he broke.
I surprised myself by really liking that. I thought the humor would be OTT and annoying, but it was clever and integral to the plot.
I also liked the injection of realism to BL tropes - Jiang Chi really struggled to carry Bu Xia rather than the usual effortless lugging of a grown man for several miles in the heat without breaking a sweat, and that chips scene - I loved that Jiang Chi's... um, physical reaction to what Bu Xia was doing was what would really happen. Good thing he had a book over his lap.
And I like that it's got a horror element to it - Bu Xia's fear of ghosts is not at all a throw-away uke weakness. And he's a jock, not a weepy home economics major.
The cinamatography was excellent, supporting the story and action - check out the shot where they're around the corner from each other in the hall at school - that was beautiful.
For the first time ever I did not mind the old Slip-And-Catch (SAC), because the bit with the chips that followed…
I don't even count that as a SaC, and you KNOW how I feel about those. Because they were kind of wrestling, plus, I liked that Jiang Chi had a normal reaction to a cute guy doing the chip thing - it's too bad he had that book in his lap.
And he shouldn't have to reassure Patts - he's already committed himself to him and told him he loves him. Yes, he could have anyway, but if you had just watched your bf try to kill someone, you might not be in the mood to make any concessions.
