I agree with the second point but not with the first. Imagine you have a child and he gets taken to the hospital…
It looked like she ran into him randomly - I don't think it was premeditated on her part.

Remember that as far as she knows, she's talking to the person who raped and nearly killed her son. I don't get the attitude that a mother has no business being involved with her son's life. They are family and she has every right to protect him.

But I totally agree about the slap - there's a point where you can't hold someone responsible for a reaction like that. There was nothing premeditated in it, and the whole situation was a parent's worst nightmare.

So, no one talking about the fact that they made two 14 year old boys kiss each other in the 3rd ep? I mean, it's…
Of course it's OK. There is nothing wrong with people the same age kissing. It's when there's an adult and a minor that there's a problem.

This gave me so many chills.🥶🥶🥶 Angst & cringe gallore but am glad they are tackling issues like PTSD…
There's nothing wrong with minors fornicating. It's when they are victimized by adults that there's a problem. Exploring your sexuality is part of growing up.

Jiang Chi's voice does things to me. That plus his smirk.

I love how natural the physical affection is between them and how they both seek it. I like that Jiang Chi finds Bu Xia so cute and enthralling and is so happy to put up with him.

This series has a unique vibe to it - it might be my favorite airing right now.

I checked comments to see if I'd made right choice when I dropped it at ep 2. Looks like I did. Many are bored…
Aw, shucks - you're making me blush.

Title Stay with Me
Well, so far they are following the original novel pretty faithfully, except all the sex and violence of course.…
Yeah, the thing that bothers me is Su Yu's passivity - that takes the edge off the story and the interaction between them, which is too "standard" uke & seme as opposed to the original power dynamic. The rest of the issues are not too important.

Well, that’s YOUR opinion & that is fine. I’ve rewatched this drama like 3 times already, cos it’s THAT…
I don't think you were paying any attention to what I wrote. I said it's understandable that they cut out the sex and much of the violence. But I tihnk they also lost the edge of the story. Su Yu is too passive a character and the whackiness that gave it disctinction are gone, and I don't think the actor playing Wu Bi is physically imposing enough to be as scary as other characters find him.

But at no point did I say I want sex and violence. And of COURSE it's MY opinion. What else could it possibly be? I suggest you work oh your anger issues along with your reading comprehension.

a BL or?
Not overtly, but it clearly is.

Title Stay with Me
I love the actors, but this doesn't have any of the edge of Addicted. Xu Bin isn't imposing enough for the role - when he's trying to look fierce he's just cuter. I really like him, and he's a great actor, but he's obviously supposed to be a bit scary and he's just not. Zhang Jiong Min, on the other hand, is perfect for the role.

The censoring doesn't really work - it's clearly written to be a BL, but taking that aspect out of it makes it neither fish nor fowl. With lesser actors I doubt I could sit through it. It's disappointing that they've watered down the original story so much. It's inevitable that some of the violence and all the sex would be taken out, but they also made it into a generic story with the cliched misunderstandings caused by an evil ex-gf, and made Su Yu into a more or less standard uke - who just stands there while Wu Bi is trying to fight off an entire gang to protect him. One of the best aspects of the original is that Bai Luo Yin wasn't a willowy thing that needed protection. It's also missing the campy outrageousness that made Addicted distinctive.

The things that elevate this are the high quality, especially the acting, and the family story (Su Yu's). That's certainly not nothing - I did just binge the first 12 episodes - but I doubt I would ever rewatch this. I would have rated it an 8.5 or even 9 before the ex-gf story, but that's so tiresome I think the series has declined to an 8.

Ki Hyun Woo is implausibly beautiful. It's ridiculous.

There is a lot to like in this, but I'm a little worried at how formulaic it was, from waking up late to trip/catch, to past connection, and the recent cliche of the suprise boss.

But the actors were charming and I liked their interactions, and they didn't start with the boss being a total asshole.

It was weird to hear them call him "director" (boo jang) because that was my title when I worked at a Korean company.

Title Jun & Jun
It was a good first episode. I usually skip these office romances from kbl because they all end up being very…
I just started watching it and have gotten through 15 seconds and unfortunately I have to go somewhere and will have to finish it later. But just the shot of his back was enough to make me fall in love. I haven't even seen his face yet!
I don't hate this or anything. but I get no pleasure from it either and if it weren't on the World of BL schedule I would forget about it. The characters are way too static and so is the plot. What was the point of Minato's confession last season? His being uncomfortable with PDAs is understandable, but what about private displays of affection? He's 30 and he acts like peck on the lips is some apocalyptic event.

It's not that this is impossible - but we get no context that gives it any realism. There has to be something big going on for an experienced person in their 30s to be that 19th c., otherwise it's just tiresome.

And we get it, Shin thinks Minato is cute. He's done nothng else but say it over and over, to the point he's starting to seem weird and pathetic.

Actually, if anything about Minato's behavior can make sense, it's because of that - Does Shin love him, or the idea of him? His incessant harping on how cute Minato is - and it's always about how he looks - can't help but make me wonder if there's any depth to his feelings.

I don't have time to watch everything, and I'm going to have to let this go. Maybe if something happens that explains Minato's behavior, I could finish it in the future.

Minato hasn't really changed much since season 1 and confessing to Shin at the end of the season which is really…
I completely agree with all this except I don't think Shin is immature for his age.

The prologue managed to do lot in a mere 15 minutes. It established strong acting, directing and writing. I noted…
The guy was probably either Archie or Kelvin of the second couple.

I agree, it was quite good. The kiss was a bit BL-cliche, but other than that, I like the realism and as you said, the writing is excellent. I got more out of that than 2 episodes of a "standard" BL.

MORE boring than Star & Sky?!?

By Xion Lim standards, 10/10. By normal standards, 5/10. Maybe a little higher even. It's hard to go completely wrong when you have an implausibly attractive cast.
On Low Frequency Jul 16, 2023
There are some interesting aspects to this, but it lacks any energy. Ping is doing his best to inject some, but Guitar is emotionless, other than mild impatience. The directing deflates whatever there is, and because Ping is the only person that isn't acting like he's dead inside, he seems out of place and irritating with all his begging. They needed someone with good comic timing playing Mon to give their interaction some back-and-forth energy.
Replying to Chelsea Black Jul 16, 2023
Mon needs to put up more of a struggle. He gives into Thames too easily
He does, but only after a long and repetitive begging session which is getting boring fast.

As much as I love Forth & Gemini, the special episode was a laundry detergent commercial - that was the entire plot.

And the thing I disliked abotu MSP, Gun's fakeouts for the affection Tinn needs, is crammed into every corner of this.
