I really like this series - I think it's my favorite right now. LJ is adorable, and CJ is one of the hottest guys I've ever seen. Not to keen on the hairstyle, which is too old for him, but that facial structure - and of course the body.

You know, it may just be random, but every Korean man I've been with was well above average. I don't think the stereotype about Asians is true - that hasn't been my experience at all.

I loved the morning scene - that was so funny and not something you generally see in BL - characters never refer to penises, except maybe Thai BLs, but only metaphorically as an elephant sound effect.

Have you ever stood up fast and felt woozy? That's caused by a sudden change in your blood pressure. You have metabolic changes when moving from sleep to waking, but beyond that, during waking hours, you avoid having "it" rub against things - when you're sleeping and moving around, you can get into positions where it's getting some attention from your matress or something else. And also, young men's horniness. When I was that age there were times when I had to go to the restroom to deal with it.

To be fair, although I'm really tired of BL binge drinking, Korean work culture really is like that. I worked at a Korean company and fortunately my group was responsible for maintenance & janitorial, so we got tons of sushi and really fine soju - every day. They had drunken dinners every single day.

The having children thing is a good point. But if I were Lom's boyfriend, it wouldn't really bother me if he had to perform his marital duty to have children - he's gay, so it's not really cheating. I'd actually feel bad for him for having to do something that unpleasant.

Remember that they're Asians, and upper-class at that. It's not so easy to just defy your family like that.

I really don't get the appeal of JaFirst. Ja does not have a lot of range, and although First is better, they have zero romantic chemistry. In all their love scenes Ja planks over First to keep as much distance between their bodies as possible. It's weird.

This drama just proves if your hot enough, no one will hate you for cheating. 😭😭
Nobody is cheating. Both Lom and Yiwa have agreed to be in a fake marriage because they're both gay and if they marry each other, they don't have to marry someone who won't understand. I don't understand why everyone is seeing it like you did - was it unclear when Yiwa and Marine were discussing Lom being gay and Liwa hoping he gets together with Nuea? I wouldn't blame you - the subtitles were bad.

This is very civilized for Mame. I was waiting for some savage savageness of some kind, but I think something…
It's good to be on the same page again! I think it probably depends on which version people saw. The iQiyi subtitles were pretty bad and the poor grammar made it sound like Yiwa had been with Marine for 13 years, when she was really saying she'd been with Lom for 13 years. It also wasn't clear that both she and Marine know Lom is gay and that the marriage is fake, so I don't see why Marine is pathetic or why she should have a problem with it.

Lom, on the other hand, is manipulative and should have told Nuea the truth by now - it does make him look bad. But people who haven't had to live in the closet are not going to understand the pressure he's under. I don't think it's easy to grasp the fear unless you've been there.

I'm actually finding it hard to believe this is written by Mame because of the LACK of toxicity - I really don't understand the strong reactions I'm seeing here, and I can only assume people were (very understandably) given the wrong impression by the bad iQiyi subtitles.

What is wrong with Lom & Yiwa's arrangement? They are both subject to intense dynastic pressures, and marrying each other is a perfect solution because they love each other as friends, and they won't have to either deceive any other prospective partner (i.e. if Lom were pushed into an arranged marriage with a woman who doesn't know he's gay) or stay single and/or come out, in which case they'd be rejected by society and their families.

Marine knows the full story, which is why it doesn't bother her. If Yiwa were marrying a heterosexual man, I'm sure that would be different.

I do agree that Lom is manipulative. I don't think he should have kissed Nuea before telling him the truth. It's OK to take time to get to know him, but because Nuea doesn't know the marriage is fake, it's not fair to him for Lom to be this confusing.

What is Nuea doing? Why is Marine putting up with all this? Lom and Yiwa are trash but Nuea isn't any better,…
The subtitles were wrong. Yiwa said she's been with Lom for 13 years, not Marine. She's only known Marine for 2 years - they met in that flashback. Marine knows both Lom and Yiwa are gay, which is why their marrying doesn't bother her.

I don't see how that makes them trash. I think Lom should have told Nuea the truth before kissing him, but I don't see how Yiwa's doing anything wrong, and Marine certainly isn't.

I think the bad subtitles confused many people. The way the grammar was, they said Yiwa has been with Marine for 13 years - but she was saying she's been with Lom for 13 years. That makes quite a big difference.

And because she refered to Lom being gay by saying "he doesn't look at women", it might not have been clear to a lot of people. So to a lot of people, it looks like Yiwa has been stringing Marine along for 13 years and Lom is confused about his sexuality. He's not at all - the whole point is they are marrying to be each other's "beards". Yiwa even discussed with Marine that she hopes Nuea and Lom get together.

This is not an attack - I realize the subtitles were not good, and almost everyone seems to have read it like you did, but Yiwa has been with Lom for 13 years, not Marine, who she has only known for two, and Yiwa and Lom are both gay and marrying to escape familial pressure, Marine also knows Lom is gay, which is why this doesn't bother her. It did, until she had a fight with Yiwa, and Yiwa told her the truth.

It wasn't put very clearly, but Yiwa said that Lom doesn't look at women, and she hopes he will find someone, and she hopes it's Nuea.

It's not ideal, but it's also not ridiculous or unreasonable. I think Lom shouldn't treat Nuea like this and he should have told him the truth about the situation before now, certainly before he kissed him. I get that the first time in the gym he had an uncontrolled impulse, but the second time he intended.

I still like Wedding Plan, although there are aspects that are not clear to me. Lom at times seems to play with…
I don't think Lom has the slightest lack of self-awareness. He's plain gay, he knows it, and he wants Nuea. Yiwa also wants Lom to have Nuea, because they're both gay and marrying to escape familial pressure. They do love each other as friends and it's not the worst thing in the world.

Lom does seem to enjoy teasing Nuea, but what I think he's doing is making moves, then backing off if he sees Nuea's reaction is not positive. Nuea clearly didn't respond to the kiss at the end of Ep 2, and whenever he recoils, Lom backs off and makes a lame excuse for what he was doing. I guess he gets some credit for not crossing the line, but he should have been honest from the beginning.

I'm a bit forgiving because it's scary to tell someone something like that, and if Nuea told people it could mess up his life and cause enormous pain to both his and Yiwa's families, hence his caution. But he could be less manipulative, which is assholish.

I actually think the plot is fairly solid. The only thing that's a bit off is Lom's toying with Nuea, which is an odd way to treat someone you're in love with.

Title Wedding Plan
I can see from below that people were confused by the subtitles, and it's no wonder because the grammar was not very good.

Yiwa has been with Lom for 13 years, not Marine. She met Marine 2 years ago in that flashback.

Lom is openly gay with Yiwa, and Marine is aware of it too, which is is why she isn't more hostile to the situation. Yiwa said it when they met at the restaurant after Nuea left - she put it "Lom doesn't look at women", and she also discussed with Marine that she wants Lom to find someone and she hopes it's Nuea.

So it's not as bad as it looks. Yiwa and Lom are both entering a fake marriage to escape familial pressure. It's understandable given their social class and the dynastic pressures on them.

What's NOT OK is the way Lom has been toying with Nuea. He's an asshole - how would he feel to be on the receiving end of mixed messages like that? I do like, however, that his pisses Nuea off - Nuea is not a passive uke with no agency. He even trained in kickboxing with Lom. That would normally cause an uke to faint with the effort and give him a fever, requiring him to be carried home piggy-piggy back to be wiped with a damp towel.

I think this series should get some credit for having both main characters explicitly gay - that's not common in BL.
