I wish they pick an actress for the thief with a much similar features to Mudeok. The little girl in the painting…
I quite like the actress for the thief so I'm willing to suspend disbelief a bit there ahaha. But I have to agree the casting for the younger versions is a miss, especially for younger Yul. They don't even look similar π
I think it is absolutely crazy the amount of negativity people are posting in the name of "opinion". I get that…
What are people supposed to post here if not their "opinion"?? This isn't just a Hype Fan Board. This is a discussion board. It's not like it's one person repeating stuff over and over; if different people are expressing similar criticisms, they are allowed, just as different people are allowed to express similar praises.
That's a phrase for mostly children pertaining to treating individual people with kindness or respect. That doesn't apply to TV shows, etc. Have you never criticized a TV show in your life? If I go into your watchlist (which I won't) will I not see any negative reviews or ratings?

I'm sure they'll find something else to bitch about. I just ignore them for the most part. It's the same old,…
"It's the same old, tired crap" can go both ways. Why is it only that when it's criticism, but the constant praise isn't "old tired crap"? To be clear I am enjoying the show a lot, but people are allowed to express their opinions on here and criticize the show. It's not 'bitching', it's called having an adult discussion. That's what this board is for. Getting overly defensive about it is not necessary no matter how much you love the show.

I agree with you. I love the show but the toxic positivity from some users here is more obnoxious to me than any criticism (most of which has been deserved) is. People are allowed to critique a show, regardless of the opinions of other fans who think it's perfect. Just wanted to let you know I've appreciated your comments!
I love Seo Yul, so I'm one for sure glad he's in this drama.
I agree with a lot in your original comment, but I'd still keep him in the show precisely for what you say here. If they focused more on this conflict of his instead of the unrequited romance, that would be way more interesting. Honestly could've just made them former/current friends. He doesn't need to be in love with her for that conflict to come out.
It's not ideal but remember this is literally a matter of life or death for her. The others might be just in romance…
Agree with you, I don't like that. But I blame the writing π Yul clearly knows she is lying and has known that for many episodes now so I think it's also on him for not backing off.
I think Naksu is actually doing manipulation on Yul and CP. It's true she is smart and strong FL. But things are…
It's not ideal but remember this is literally a matter of life or death for her. The others might be just in romance fantasy land, but for Naksu the stakes are high, and these people are all she has. I can't blame her for doing what she must to get people on her side and try to get which she wants. The girl is trying to survive!
Yea, and what's more sad is that this is the only plot point his character has going for him. He's already too…
Yes, this is the problem. If his residual feelings for Naksu were just one part of his character, fine. But him basically only ever appearing on our screen to be sad in her direction is getting old.
But the main leads can't grow fast cos many characters who are in power are blocking their way. So, they are being…
Yes, the show is over halfway over and they've had little to do. Cho Yeon especially is just a love interest for Dang Gu these days which I find disappointing.
But the main leads can't grow fast cos many characters who are in power are blocking their way. So, they are being…
I think the writers could've been more creative with what the main characters are doing though. I mean, they are supposedly powerful well trained mages and assassins. But characters like Yul and Dang Gu have gotten barely anything to do aside from their romance lines.
okay but some viewers complaining about why is there romance when the genre of the show itself is fantasy romance…
There is a difference between a drama being a fantasy romance and being more like a romcom though. The genres here are "action, historical, fantasy, romance." I think it's perfectly valid for people to be a bit annoyed that so much time is spent on lovelines (many of which aren't going anywhere). I loved the romance parts when they were integrated well into the action fantasy plot.
I've noticed this drama tends to have plot given to us in chunks consisting of several episodes. Calm beginning…
Well said, I agree with you. I think that's part of the problem. I'm still enjoying the show, but episodes like this one feel frustrating to me rather than exciting/making me look forward to the building. I think they could've executed it better. I hope things slot into place later in a way that shines a light on why are they doing what they are doing now because it appears to me like they are going in circles a bit too much.
Eh. The problem with this show right now for me isn't that it is filler episodes. That would imply nothing of importance happening, whereas we still got new info this episode. But it's just not living up to my expectations based on the first few episodes of an action packed drama with big worldbuilding that yes, does have a lot of humor and romance in it, but isn't a romcom. Being over halfway through and still having Mu Deok nagging Jang Uk to train is pretty tiresome, the SL "romance" has been the same for many episodes now. I thought by this point we'd have some higher stakes with our main characters working and fighting against a common cause. Instead we're still doing he same comedy loveline routines over and over and slowly learning info through our villains. I just want something more interesting and dramatic to happen at this point.
Yulβs actor is pretty but he has only one face. Itβs not helping that his character is more reserved and much…
I think he is okay when he expresses more obvious emotions (his smiles/happiness in episode 10 for example) but I agreeβhe is not very good at expressing the more subtle emotions through microexpressions.
Fully disagree with you. All opinions are welcome here.
