I'm a little surprised at how quiet it is over here and on social media in general for this show. I figured Min Jae at least would pull a small crowd after Dali 👀 I guess people's attention are on other way more popular shows right now. It's doing well in ratings so far though so I'll be interested to see how that goes.

Agreed. Sounds like more time needed for postproduction. If they were making changes to the story this late in the game we'd be waiting way longer to get those episodes lol. They can't just call back cast members and change schedules on a whim.

First ep = a really solid start! It was packed. They really set everything up super efficiently 😅 I like how deep longer sageuks can go but it's a refresher to have a 12 ep-er. Right to the point and no millions of flashbacks 🙏🏼 Both leads doing amazing so far but shoutout to Kye Ji Han for bringing the humor this ep. He's fun!

WOW, what a take. First of all this is a fantasy drama. They can have Kpop hair, do water magic, and carry magical pendants, but women joining in on the fighting is too much? LOL. Also you seem to be under the false assumption that women were not active participants in Korean history. If Sageuks can show women participating in fighting, politics, medicine, etc. then so can a fantasy drama. It's called historical FICTION for a reason, and it is of course going to be (and should be) affected by modern context. And this isn't even a straight up historical anyway. "Woke shit" Please 🙄

Playing safe is all well and good at first, but a storyline can't run on the FL "playing safe" for over half its runtime imo. Good writers could've imagined something for her to do/a way to make her more active within the bounds of the story. They've created a whole magical world here—let the FL explore more of it.

Yep, it's like she can only work via Uk and otherwise she is a sitting duck. I'm fine with her not being physically powerful for a while, but why isn't she using her resources? You're totally right. She has an in with the CP. She has info. As a maid she can easily sneak around (at least she could've if she took advantage before Park Jin got sus). She has a friend in Dang Gu, and an ally in Ju Wol at Chwiseonru. She has a history with Jin Mu. Why is she not taking advantage of any of this?

Omg I know, it is frustrating! These episodes could have included her investigating that because she is afraid of running wild, but instead she is just calmly sweeping and dusting...wtf? Really disappointing.
