Some cases were really good and some case were just meh...
After the first five or so episodes I haven't seen anyone discussing the cases much. Actually I've missed some episodes and I don't even know if there *were* cases in them because I have not seen even a mention of what they were about. 😅 I don't expect every case to be dramatic, I actually liked that they were realistic seeming here. However I do think it's a problem in the writing if people are just mentally fast forwarding the cases to get to the romance.
I have not watched recent eps, but seeing so many people say "I don't care about the court cases, only the romance" or "stop focusing on the court cases" and what not does not inspire me to keep watching 😅 I mean I think the romance is fine but I didn't start this show to watch a romance drama. I cannot help but feel something has gone wrong if a majority watching are tuning in for the romance only rather than the show as a whole (though I do not blame anyone for that). And it does indeed seem like majority discussion of this show has been overtaken by the romance line.
If not many care about the cases, what is the point of this being a law drama, instead of any office drama where the work doesn't matter much to the plot? Again I am not caught up but I cannot help but feel I wish the show had been more rounded overall, with more relevant cases to get invested in and a nice romance on the side that doesn't take over with its conflict. I imagine that if right now everyone was talking about the outcome of a very interesting case or overall conflict, with the whole team of characters banded together, something like that, I would have been more motivated to tune in and see what happens. But the "will they won't they" of the romance is not enough to grab me back in 😕
Darn 😰 It seems to be flying under the radar so far too, not seen many people talking about it. I wonder if it will be hard to even find subs 😬 Crossing my fingers!
Really have to commend the character writing and chemistry of the cast on this one. Everyone is just so likable and I'm attached to the group just 3 episodes in (haven't seen 4 yet). This drama has some "cosmetic" imperfections shall I say ahahah--choppy editing, the storytelling doesn't always feel smooth. However I find it so nice to watch I'm easily able to forget these things, at least for now! :D
I'm enjoying the story a huge deal, the found family aspect is the thing that sold me the most tho! I'm so attached…
I feel the same! Don't normally love "case of the week" type dramas but so far so good here. I haven't watched 4 yet so it's good to know I should have some tissues nearby! The found family aspect is wonderful ❤️
I really appreciate that unlike most of the usual k-dramas, the main leads start their relationship with respect…
Awh you're right. I will admit I'm a sucker for enemies-to-lovers and bickering ahaha but that would have been totally out of place here. The start to their relationship was really lovely!
I didn't expect to have a change of opinion but somewhere in the last few weeks I ended up enthusiastic to see…
I'm more and more excited to see her too! I love So Min but I think the show could use some refreshing so it doesn't get stale.
I'm not sure how much GYJ should try to mimic JSM. It's a double edged sword. If she doesn't try at all, the character won't be recognizable. If she tries too hard, people could resent her and just want So Min back. (Like when they changed an actress in the show Hello My Twenties, she tried super hard to copy the previous actress' mannerisms, and everyone found it cringeworthy and hated her for it). GYJ's a great actress though so I hope people would give her a chance :)
To be honest, I really was hoping AoS could do much better. These are decent numbers but not amazing.Currently,…
Yes I agree, and commented something similar recently. It is far from a flop and its numbers are great! However it hasn't generated the kind of massive, chart-topping buzz I thought it was capable of when I watched the first few episodes 😕 It's popular, but not a sensation.
Anyone notice how Mudeok's korean is different from the others...I don't understand is it different or not?
Yes, other comment is right. Naksu is putting on a slightly exaggerated accent as Maid Mudeok. Most noticeably you're probably hearing her end her sentences with a "-yoo"/"-yu" sound instead of "-yo."
Respect to the father for taking responsibility of what he did and kept Young Woo, babies don't ask to be born…
The one being "punished" would be the grown, sentient woman with a fully developed body and brain who has to carry a child for 9 months when she didn't want to.

I am happy that the story is moving forward but the way they are coming to the conclusion is pretty absurd .......like....1)…
You're not wrong 😅 Some of these annoy me more than others. But yeah, if you start poking at all the scenes like this, you realize how contrived they are. It's like they planned each ep going, "We need *this* bit of info to come out now. Okay, just throw anything in there to make it happen." Instead of working it organically into the story.
They really are not doing Naksu’s intelligence justice with how long it’s taking her to even idly WONDER if…
If I were in her shoes I would have been trying to find answers about who MD is much earlier. To be clear I'm not saying Naksu is stupid—she is very smart. I am saying I am frustrated with the writing for not letting her question things sooner, due to them wanting to hold off on the reveal for very late in the season. But agree to disagree :) I hope she figures it out next episode!

Still weird to me that she mysteriously opened the door, could see through boxes, has a scar, and that when Cho Yeon specifically brings up several of those things in relation to her sister, we don't see Naksu *IMMEDIATELY* going "wait a minute...could it be?" They obviously delayed Naksu wondering about MD's identity because they knew they didn't want her to figure it out until this late, but to me it seems OOC that she wouldn't have thought more about that identity sooner.
That was the first episode I enjoyed from start to finish in quite a while. It felt like the AOS I fell in love…
They really are not doing Naksu’s intelligence justice with how long it’s taking her to even idly WONDER if MD could be the lost Jin sister. I mean, she’s had several pieces of the puzzle for how many episodes now, since she was mysteriously able to open the door? I find it hard to believe she wouldn’t have put some of those pieces together now, at least enough to have *questioned* MD’s identity more before this.
That was the first episode I enjoyed from start to finish in quite a while. It felt like the AOS I fell in love with at the start. Why couldn't we get some of this stuff sooner? 😭
My one major peeve though...(spoiler comment below)
