I think it says something about us as a society or something that we see a sad bittersweet ending as more realistic…
Hm for me it's not about a sad ending being more realistic or less realistic. I think we will get a happy ending just maybe not the "couple happily ever" ending typical of romance dramas which can be true to life in a nice way and actually makes me more hopeful that things will turn out well in life :)
I just want HD & YJ to leave on good terms & not be heartbroken at 2521 & after because they can’t be together.…
Certainly there will be a hint of sadness but knowing Hee Do and Yi Jin I think seeing each other succeeding like that will make them more happy than sad :")
If they don't end up together because"it's realistic” then their breakup shouldbe realistic & not 'they protect…
Sometimes it isn't about "can't make it work" but people deciding not being in a romantic relationship suits each of their personal journeys better. Their relationship was never all about a romance, it was about them having a bond that cannot always be defined, so it makes total sense they would continue to have feelings toward one another, even if not romantic.
(here I come rambling in an entirely too long comment again lol, sorry in advance)I love your view on it and definitely…
"I don't even think that that type of story is bittersweet" I completely agree! So well said. I get everyone feels strongly about their ship but it has started to grate on me seeing everyone saying happy ending = Baekdo Endgame when this drama has not taken that narrow viewpoint at all.
I just don't get people who say this drama will be depressing or have a negative message if the Hee Do and Yi Jin romance doesn't continue. I think it has such an uplifting message about cherishing the time you spent with people even if they aren't by your side forever, how people make each other better, and how you can still support them even if your relationship changed (like how in the 2009 interview, Hee Do and Yi Jin still send their support to each other, even if they're not romantic.) Adult Hee Do seems to be really content with her life and I 100% expect we will see the same about Yi Jin. This isn't the kind of story that is going to end with anyone being miserable. I think this is the kind of drama that teaches us there is more than one kind of happy ending, instead of saying "happiness exists only with this one person", and I really love that. It's very positive and comforting to me.
i'm excited for this drama to end soon so I can know WHO'S THE DAD cuz they draggeeeeed it some may see it as…
My prediction is that we are never going to see the dad. So long as it isn't Yi Jin which I take at face value from the first episode, who she actually married isn't really important to the story they've laid out. I feel a dramatic "who's the dad reveal" isn't something the drama is interested in. But we'll see!
cutting them off sounds harsh. It's far more likely they just lost touch over the years as they got busy with…
Yep. I am younger than adult Hee Do and no longer speak to most I was close to in high school. No bad feelings and nothing dramatic happened. We just live our own lives. Just like Hee Do said in the show, that's not always a bad thing :)
Feel like I am the only person not surprised about anything with Baekdo, who thinks the drama's writing has been consistent and good, and who is looking forward to the last two episodes 😎
I’m thinking what if present yijin won’t be shown? Same for Yurim jiwoong and seungwan none of them d-worded…
I actually have been thinking this too because imagining them bringing in a bunch of new actors in the last episode.......it seems kind of weird 😅 And you're right it is Heedo's story and her POV at the end of the day.
Hope KTR rests well and enjoys herself after all her hard work ❤️❤️❤️❤️ At the same time I'm going to be counting down until her next drama. Seeing her in something has only made me even more greedy to see her again ❤️
I'm kind of surprised considering how it trends like crazy on twitter. Most are watching on Netflix I guess?
Yep I got what you meant! I was saying I am surprised the rating in SK didn't increase because from looking at twitter the show's popularity exceeded my expectations 😋
Me: worrying about whether or not Seung Wan and Ji Woong have kept in touch 😰😰😰😰😰😰
