I think self-respect is not the right words he doesn't have good self-esteem and I think that that comes from…
I have to disagree with passion and interesting not align with him being heir to rich family. Heir of rich people don't have to care about this stuff if they got the money, and Kuea is from prestigious old money even. He had less reason to care about this stuff. I, however, strongly agree that it's about the expectation the he set himself up with that his parents and Lian would be disappointed in him.
I am not sure we are watching the same series. Yor are toooooooo serious. It's a STORY!
Ummmm are you sure you're replying to the right comment? Because I don't think any of that apply to my comment at all. Of course it's a story. Which part of this means that I'm too serious? Especially when there are more serious comments in here.
It's weird that a lot of people don't like Lian, but for me, I don't like Kuea more, lol. I'm not saying Lian's action is justified, but I just don't vibe with Kuea more right now. But it's getting better each episode. I think I just don't have a good first impression of his character. I'm fine with both of them now as this episode is more of a strutting along the path of change and how they will continue to learn more about each other. Another point might be YiDiao. I don't like them when they are together, but they seem fine to me when they're not and this episode in full of them not with each other. Kon Diao is a male version of a disney princess, lol. He's cute and he live in his own world of fluff and stuff. Yi is a good voice of reason when he's with Lian even tho their conversation in ep2 is a bit cringy. I don't think they are portrayed in the best light when they are together yet, but the next episode could be promising development of their couple.
One thing is, I have an inkling suspicion that Yi/Diao dynamic is not supposed to be portrayed like that and something must be lost during directing. And the choice in Yi thinking back to Diao's crying face and smile is so disturbing that it encourage this theory.
So the theory is that, I think Diao was supposed to be more defiant and the scene in front of Gemini in EP2 was supposed to be crocodile tears. Considering his action, he knew Yi doesn't like liars, but he still went along with it enough to defy Yi's grip in various ways. If I were really Kon Diao like how he was portrayed in the show, then I wouldn't be willing to put myself in that situation or even cried. Max's acting at that part was not that intimidating enough to warrant tears. So the direction and the acting at that scene gave an impression of a very abusive and physical violent type of relationship which I don't believe they were supposed to be, or at least at that level. I REFUSE to believe that they thought it was fine to show Yi reminiscing Diao's crying face and smile like that. The dialogue suggest that Yi think it was a crocodile tears, and even how cooperative Diao was with Yi's plan to forbid Kuea not to come to Gemini but not serious enough to affect anything much other than Yi's lost of 200 grands of Thai Baht which Diao didn't even make a big fuss over it so it wasn't even out of true fear. And when I conjured up this theory, everything just clicked. Take it with a grain of salt tho, it's just my personal head-canon/theory. And it made watching Yi/Diao to be more cute and enjoyable. And Max was immaculate.
- The best scene for me in this episode, apart from the obvious kiss and meaty treat of Mr.Zee, is the scene when Lian explain himself to his father that he also has to live up to Kuea for the marriage. It expand depth of perspective of Lian's character and it was a nice change of mood. Despite me having problem with Zee's acting, I think he did ok. - The best Zee's acting in this ep for me was when Kuea had his drunken sleep talking and it affect Lian that affirmed him to erase the camera footage and acted like nothing happened to not make Kuea troubled by it much (even tho it's in vain, lol). I don't like it. It felt like Lian overthink this a bit. But it was best because I can understand that Kuea's sleep talking affect him. Like, I can see where he might be coming from.
Perth is weird in this show for some reason. I don't know. It's like I can't read him, and I'm not even sure if it's intentional or just lack of good acting direction. Like, if a character is intentionally unreadable, then it would be different than what Perth was giving. Let's see how it unfold.
AND FINALLY TUTOR YESS THIS GUY IS SO HOT AND BEAUTIFUL. Tho I have a bit of a problem with his pair. First of all, he came on like a creep toward Kuea. As for Yim's character, I feel like his religious "gimmick" plateau off a bit. It's cute but it kinda lacks depth. I think his character has potential to be more funny, especially with his religious sermon lines stuff. But I guess his comedic timing is a bit off? I dunno. I mean, Poppy is doing the most with his comedic timing, lol. I love him in this. His comedic timing is just fun to watch in this show.
I like the show because of the production value, the hot people, and the acting, but I agree with basically everything…
definitely agree on the final paragraph. I think that Zee could give us more while Max did gave something, but I'm not liking it that much cuz sometimes it felt overacted. New was more on the safe side I think. I don't like Diao's choice of crying that much, it felt like a weird direction and it does make him too frail and hint at abusive nature of their relationship.
I understand why people love this show, cuz there's many amazing points throughout and the plot is kinda fun to see unfold.
But for me I wasn't a fan of the acting and some direction of this episode. NuNew has the best acting out of the lead bunch so far, but I find his character annoying, but less so in this ep. And I'm sorry, but his drunkenness in the bar was more like he was on drug rather than just alcohol. I'd have concerns if I were Lian.
I like the show because of the production value, the hot people, and the acting, but I agree with basically everything…
Actually, iirc, I think it was because the 2 couples were on two different books and they had to squeeze them together because they need to sell MaxNat too. Tbh, I wasn't a fan of the acting in this episode.
I think maybe I had expectations for this that were too high, but I was disappointed. Except Zee's shower scene. There's…
I agree that arrange marriage plot in this doesn't make that much sense and weird, especially not in the actual arrange marriage (i mean they justify it in the show), but the mentality of Kuea and the people around. And the point about what engineer actually does too.
Oh fun...... I just realized that Lian's real name, Gilen is basically the same word as Kirin in different language. Both of them is basically Chinese mythological creature Qilin.
EP2 really makes me wanna drop this one. I don't like how the story is told that much. The editing, the acting, the pacing, I'm not feeling it. The house dealer lady gave me life tho. Her acting is chef kiss.
This observation is funny. But if it really Kavin, I wonder whether this drama did that intentionally or just…
I think it is not intended to be Kavin, lol. My guess is that cuz Covid restriction for how many people are allowed on set is still active, they had to find someone to do it and it's either they have Win do it or he just went for fun.
That talk was a month away tho. Will be aired on March 4th.
started watching and it's not bad but meteor garden will always be the best for me. the only issues are the acting,…
I was gonna say the same thing about his lips too. It really does feel like he has a permanent crease at the end of his lips that make him look like he's smiling all the time even tho his eyes doesn't.
I haven't watched Oxygen yet, but it must be a huge step up for him since everyone seems to like him in this much more and then there's me who is still not feeling his acting that much. I find his pouting face.... a bit unnatural... Other than that, he's okay. His role as a cute ghost trying to contact a human boy is kinda cute.
1. Creepy landlady tells the mom she has to give offerings every day to the spirit that protects the house, which…
I was wondering about this, so thank you. If what you said is true then I still think the plot is moving too fast. Phat acted like he knew Phob already didn't flow that well in the dream sequence. If the editing was a bit better, I would buy the "this has been happening for a while" comment that Phat said to Dream.
I don't missed out much then. As a thai audience myself, I picked up the uncle in white's role quite easily because it's pretty obvious for people who know the culture.
I'm snatched by the new guy in the preview who seems to be Tawi's subordinate.
Btw, I have a weird inkling that Nuch is a director's self-insert character for some reason because of the same name and gender. Like, she was inserted in to argue with Gram so he can have a foil for the viewer to broaden our perspective and to break stereotype of how transgender are usually portrayed in bl. If the character already exist in the novel then maybe not.
I enjoy this half and half… I like ep 1-2, but ep 3 is a huge letdown for me, and ep 4 was okay? I don’t know…
One reason for that would be how concise and compact this version is with its plotpoint. You should checkout other versions too that has more time to flesh out its plot like chinese or taiwanese version.
It's interesting because I remember on earlier days that they announce F4 Thailand, there are also thai threads…
I haven't seen much craze over it yet, but so far I've seen a lot of positive comments about it. Especially how manga fans are praising Bright being a better Doumyouji than they expected and how a lot of things aren't as cringy as remakes usually is.
