Watch this for the male lead since he has the most interesting personality in the slew of boring perfect male leads (I discovered Kikuchi Fuma's talent thanks this). Don't watch for the plotline or the female lead.
also i have to say . who was singing in that ost during the beginning of the ep … dude had me emotional as hell
Kim Feel. I recognized the husky voice and emotional tone right away. If you haven't checked out his busking videos in Italy, I highly suggest to enjoy your weekend with those amazing music and views.
I beg to differ. I like this drama a lot. It is my fav currently airing drama. It is better than My dearest but…
I understand that it can turn away audience because of the extramarital part, and I have my own aversion of that too. However, I didn't even consider that that was happening since I and a lot of the audience presumed that that the husband already abandoned her after assuming that she did lose her chastity. Actually, she had the same assumption as well.
And regarding if she did become a prostitute or not, I don't think so. She knows it because she was already sold once, but remember, she bit her owner's ear and was let go afterwards. But even if she did experience it, I share the same beliefs as the leads -- women who have been victims of war shouldn't feel ashamed of themselves since they are not the ones to blame.
I'm sure you've heard of the history of comfort women in South Korea, so I do love that a drama is tackling a taboo subject like this. Again, this is just preference since I love history and novel-like storytelling.

This just proves everything is subjective when it comes to preference. I actually think My Dearest is better than this drama (performance and the Joseon horrors of war storyline). In fact, Moving and My Dearest are equally good since they're just completely different from the rest.
6 years after and Minmin is still so whipped lol. Well, who can resist Bong Bong who is just a combination of the perfect ingredients -- sugar, spice, and everything nice lol.
Everything else that is on air, pales in comparison to this drama. Definitely the most anticipated. But that wasn't the kind of reunion we were waiting for. War does spare no one.
Hahahah, I'm not the only one who rewound the scar scene, over and over again?
Include me, and the other thousand fans. We were totally trying study Rowo-, the scar just like how doctors look at their patients. We're all calm and studious adults in here. Yup.
I was definitely only looking at the scar and nothing else. No, I absolutely didn't stare at the abs, muscly arms, tanned skinned, and perfect "v" curvature. Yup. No, sir.
Okay, I lost my marbles after "that scene" since this is a Kdrama, but I remembered this is Netflix and cable network, Jtbc. It all makes sense now. But that came out of nowhere, and I was pleasantly surprise because that "scar" zoom in was a treat lol.
i disagree but i do respect your takethis isn't edo period anymore, stop holding all jdrama domestically when…
I never agreed with how their copyright distribution works. I was only referring to the style and plot of their dramas. As a foreign fan, of course, I would like more Jdoramas to be available worldwide. Nobody wants to scour around for subs, and this is coming from somebody who has been doing that for more than a decade.
Hidden Gem, Guilty pleasure & Highly Recommend. Started watching it because I thought it was going to be about…
The original source is actually much older. It is from a 1979 manga (and is later made into an anime) which is also an adaptation of the 1905 French novel Arsène Lupin. I highly recommend the French Netflix series Lupin for a more serious take on the adaptation.
I couldn't stand King the Land even though I love almost all of Lee Junho's dramas. Imagine my disappointment…
That's some persistence right there lol. I gave up after my 3rd or 4th attempt (it's a really bad sign if you keep doing other things while watching a series), and I found a better drama that was airing at the same time -- See You in My 19th Life.
