Anyone know if it's official about Dylan Wang taking over Ning Que's role? Is he any good at acting?Edit: damn,…
I am curious if it is just a rumor or if it has been confirmed also. Even if the actor is amazing, it is hard to come in and take a role that was previously filled by someone that was well liked. I did watch the new Meteor Garden with Dylan Wang. It is kind of unfair to say Dylan Wang would be a bad NQ based on his role in MG because it is such a different character and such a different type of drama. The character he is playing is supposed to be a little goofy, so if he comes off goofy, it is hard to say if he would come off that way no matter what role he is in or if he was delivering what the director asked for. There were moments in MG that I was personally impressed by DW because I believed the emotion. My concerns are more about his appearance and his voice. I think he is noticably more slender than AC and I think his voice isn't as deep/more nasal. - that said, the no. 1 complaint about season 1 was the "lack of chemistry" that NQ had with SS. If whomever the replacement is can deliver believable on screen chemistry between NQ and SS, it would go a long way in convincing fans to accept the new actor.
Lmao people voting are probably mostly ashes of love fans ???? ???? I mean it's literally ridiculous for Ashes…
Yes. Wow. Is Deng Lun really that popular? I did notice that he was cast in a couple dramas one after another. I watched Ashes of Love and it was good, but didn't expect them to get soooo many votes.
I'm low key surprised by the underwhelming amount of votes for The Rise of the Phoenixes? anyone agree?
Totally agree. I think the lead male character was so magnetic. The story stayed interesting. I do wish it had ended better but it was still an amazing production.
I Need Romance 1, 2, and 3 are Sex-in-the-city-like. If you really want to see something like sex in the city and haven't watched the I Need Romance dramas I recommend them... The 2nd was my least fav. and it had kind of a melancholy, but the 1st and the 3rd are pretty good. A spot on remake I would like to see is Gossip Girl. And please don't tell me Heirs is like Gossip Girl, because imo, it is not close enough.
This story did not occur in ancient China, and their world is not earth. We can gain some interesting insights…
A harem for NQ in this story makes zero sense. The whole point is that he and SangSang are born to be on opposite sides, but their strong love for each other will keep them from being enemies. The other ladies are likely there to show in comparison how important Sang Sang is to him. Plus, They have always been together, their relationship has not turn romantic yet. The other girls will likely be used as a catalyst to reveal NQ & SS’s true feelings for each other.
I think this slowly but surely is becoming my favourite drama after Nirvana in Fire. So far I have no single complain,…
People keep referencing NiF as their fav. I know it has more than one season, does the original have a true ending point or does it feel like there is too many things to tie up ... with so many positive comments, i think I need to give it a shot.
Hmm ... imho Dylan Wang gives off Vanness Wu vibes .. which is not a bad thing per se.I'd rather Leo Wu (Fight…
I am not saying SWL was terrible. I'm not sure how to say this. He was a little too subdued. Not sure if I could believe him as the Woodcutter of whatever the name was lake. I could believe Dylan as the Woodcutter based on his performance in MG. On the flip side of that, I am not sure if he could come across as likable as CFY does while chopping peoples heads off though. It would be hard to say if I would like his look for it, until I see him with long hair. If he does get the role, I hope they ask him to bulk up for the part.

I love Dylan Wang. I think he has a great on screen presence but he has such a slender build. Not sure if I like him for that role. Leo Wu is adorable and charismatic but I am afraid he might not come off serious enough. Based on Song Wei Long's character in UL, I don't think he would be my first choice for Ning Que.
I can't speak for others, so this is my personal opinion. Let me say in the beginning that I'd also still watch…
What? Why is he leaving? Just when I decided I liked him in the role. That sucks. Will there be a part 2? If so, will they be able to find anyone that will be able to pull the role off after everyone is already used to that guy? I have seen actors pull off coming in as the replacement, but it is rare and it is usually only successful when the replacement has star power to begin with.
