I remember being really angry and frustrated at the MC for running away to sort out his feelings. Then the ending made me even more confused. Maybe I'll finally understand when I'm older.
What's the difference between this and scarlet heart (2011 with Cecilia Liu)? Also, I wonder if they are…
Replying to an old comment but plot is completely different. In Scarlet Heart, 8th was the bad guy and 4th the good guy, but it's the opposite in this one. The MC is also not much involved with the other princes, and more focused on the concubines.
Why is this grouped under Scarlet Heart?? They have the same concept but the story, character's background, and ending is completely DIFFERENT. I won't even consider this an adaptation.
I read the manga first and it seems like they toned down all the R18 stuff. Still, I dropped it because the acting was mediocre and failed to bring out the strong hatred and suffering the MC had for the antagonist.
I'm surprised that this has nearly the same rating as the first taiwanese adaptation?? It was bashed horribly on chinese sites because of the plot, inconsistency, lack of emotion, annoying characters, and bad acting compared to old adaptations. Still, not a bad movie. I love the soundtrack.
Ah, a classic. This one made me wonder why main characters in taiwanese dramas always accidentally see each other naked in the first or second episode.
I can't believe I watched this many episodes. Never actually kept count, I just watched whenever it came on tv. But it does teach you a lot about life, work, social situations, and hong kong culture.
Idk man, I watched this back in the day because it had a similar theme with Love O2O. But it was really disappointing- the plot, CG, acting, voice-acting.
I just want to thank this drama for expanding on the bullying Huizhen experienced at work. It taught me a lot about work culture and social skills that most dramas tend to skip over.
I'm on episode 18 and really gripped by this drama so far, I don't understand the bad reviews. It seems some viewers…
Another reason is that dramas from this era have always been from Song dynasty’s point of view, but this time it’s from the enemy’s perspective. Liao has always been written as the villain in history books.
Empress Dowager of Liao (大辽太后)
Daliao Women (大辽巾帼)
Legendary Fighter: Yang's Heroine (杨门女将)
Empress Cheonchu (천추태후)
Only the last one is subbed. There's not many dramas because most are written from Song Kingdom (the "South") or Goryeo Kingdom's point of view.
